Not Close in Public, Preparing for Pregnancy in Private, Pampered with Affection Every Night

Chapter 385

Qin Yuhe and Song Xinya had agreed that she would take the position of general manager. He pulled back the covers and lay down beside her.

“It’s late. Go to sleep.”

Song Xinya replied, “All right,” then thought for a moment and said pointedly, “I injured my knee today, so I can’t kneel.”

Why had she gone out of her way to say that?

Because Qin Yuhe’s favorite position was taking her from behind.

He was usually gentle, elegant, refined, and mild-mannered. But in bed, the possessiveness hidden deep within him would pour out completely. He became wild and uninhibited, utterly dominant. Song Xinya barely needed to move; all she had to do was kneel and submit.

As someone with little experience, Song Xinya didn’t know any tricks either. She was perfectly happy to let him take the lead. That way, she didn’t even have to exert herself—she could simply enjoy the stimulation, pleasure, and sensations he gave her.

After being apart for so long, Song Xinya had assumed tonight would be a passionate one.

After waiting for a while, Qin Yuhe still made no move.

Song Xinya couldn’t hold back any longer. “What’s wrong with you?”

Qin Yuhe said, “Nothing. Go to sleep.”

Song Xinya: “…Why?”

Qin Yuhe: “Do you need a reason to sleep?”

Song Xinya: “…No.”

She muttered under her breath, “As expected, men become useless after thirty.”

Qin Yuhe turned over and straddled her, pressing his hips between her thighs, right against her most sensitive spot. His broad, well-built upper body cast a shadow over her, completely enveloping her. His presence was dangerous.

“Who did you say was useless?”

Under the sharp, deep gaze of his wolf-like eyes, Song Xinya’s heart pounded. “I was talking about other men. I didn’t say you.”

Qin Yuhe’s gaze lingered over her chest. She wore a camisole dress, one thin strap hanging from her delicate, slender shoulder while the other had slipped down to her elbow, exposing half of her full, fair breast. The sight was alluring beyond words.

“Your leg is injured, so rest properly for now. I’ll make sure you get everything you’re owed. I won’t shortchange you even once.”

His words made Song Xinya’s cheeks burn. It sounded as though she were especially hungry for him.

“Long-term abstinence can affect a man’s prostate function. I’m just worried about your health. It’s not because I want anything.”

Qin Yuhe looked at her flushed face. “Oh, is that so?”

Song Xinya pressed her lips together and turned her burning face to the side. “That’s right. That’s exactly it.”

Qin Yuhe stopped teasing her and gave her an escape route. “Thank you for your concern, Madam.”

“You’re welcome. Since you don’t plan to do anything, get off me.”

Qin Yuhe said, “Does not doing anything mean I can’t be above you?”

“Of course. You’re crushing me.”

“Before this, I pressed down on you for several hours at a time, and I never heard you complain.”

“How is that the same…?”

Because this time, there was only pain and none of the pleasure.

She pushed him, and Qin Yuhe—who hadn’t been on guard at all—was shoved onto his back on the bed.

Qin Yuhe pulled up the covers and lay flat. “Song Xinya, once your leg has healed, just wait and see how I’m going to deal with you.”

“I, your husband, will show you exactly how capable I am…”

………

The next day, Qin Yuhe gave his assistant an order.

“Give the people who were fired all the evidence we previously collected of Yuan Jingcheng’s illegal activities.”

The assistant was extremely surprised and reminded him, “President Qin, if the evidence is leaked from your side and Yuan Jingcheng finds out afterward, he’ll definitely retaliate against you. That will bring you a great deal of trouble.”

“Besides, the people Yuan Jingcheng fired are already gathering evidence against him.”

Qin Yuhe asked, “Have they found anything?”

The assistant replied, “No. Yuan Jingcheng is extremely cautious, especially when it comes to illegal activities. The only reason we were able to find evidence against him was because of your background and resources, President Qin. How could a group of ordinary people find anything so easily?”

“If they want to uncover something, it will take at least a year or eighteen months.”

Qin Yuhe enunciated each word. “A year. Or. Eighteen. Months.”

The assistant said, “Yes, at most a year and a half. That isn’t very long, so there’s no need to rush.”

Qin Yuhe raised his eyes toward him, his dark gaze razor-sharp. “I’m in a hurry.”

If something happened once, it could be an accident. If it happened twice, there was a certain inevitability to it.

Once or twice was already too much. He couldn’t allow it to happen a third or fourth time.

He couldn’t gamble with his wife’s safety, hoping that every client she encountered in the future would be a decent person.

He couldn’t treat a potential danger with a hopeful attitude. He had to eliminate it before it had a chance to grow.

Qin Yuhe issued a clear order. “Immediately hand over the evidence of Yuan Jingcheng’s illegal activities to those who were fired.”

The assistant said, “That would keep Madam safe, but it could put you in danger, President Qin.”

Qin Yuhe replied, “My wife’s safety comes first. As long as she isn’t in danger, that’s all that matters.”

Seeing that President Qin had made up his mind, the assistant immediately went to carry out the order.

Naturally, he wouldn’t appear in person. Doing so would not only expose himself but also expose President Qin.

He found someone who appeared to have absolutely no connection to Qin Yuhe and had that person deliver the evidence of Yuan Jingcheng’s illegal activities to the group.

………

At the office, Song Xinya was no longer busy developing clients or meeting with them.

Qin Yuhe had enrolled her in an online MBA program in business administration.

He told her that it didn’t matter whether she passed the MBA entrance examination. The important thing was for her to learn business administration.

He had personally selected the course for her. After carefully comparing nearly a thousand business administration programs on the market, he had chosen this one and enrolled her.

After listening to the first lesson, Song Xinya immediately understood the saying:

Anything produced by President Qin was bound to be top quality.

There wasn’t a single unnecessary word in this business administration course. Every lesson was packed with genuinely practical knowledge.

Song Xinya listened while taking notes in a small notebook, her pen moving nonstop.

The entire morning passed, yet she didn’t feel bored in the slightest.

At noon, her colleagues gradually went out for lunch.

Just as Song Xinya was about to pause the course, Yuan Jingcheng walked over. “Teacher Song, you’ve been wearing your headphones all morning. What have you been busy with?”

He glanced at her computer screen. “So you’re taking a business administration course.”

His gaze turned probing. “Teacher Song, are you planning to become a leader?”

Song Xinya replied, “Leaders receive not only a base salary but also bonuses and stock dividends. The benefits are much better than those of ordinary employees. People should always strive to move higher. A soldier who doesn’t want to become a general isn’t a good soldier. Of course I want to become a leader.”

Yuan Jingcheng immediately grew wary. He thought to himself: If you become a leader, what will become of me?

He began trying to brainwash Song Xinya.

“Teacher Song, why are you working so hard? Your husband is already so wealthy. Why put yourself through all this? Wouldn’t it be better to sleep, arrange flowers, get beauty treatments, and travel around the country? That’s the life you should be living. Women only need to rely on men. Why bother building a career? Isn’t it much more satisfying to spend a man’s money than your own? Whatever you do, don’t believe those so-called declarations from ‘strong women’ online—talking about independence and self-reliance. It’s exhausting. Women shouldn’t work. They should stay home and lie around every day.”

Song Xinya asked, “Mr. Yuan, what does your wife do?”

Yuan Jingcheng replied, “She’s also the president of a publicly listed company.”

Song Xinya: “So, Mr. Yuan, why won’t you let your wife stop working and stay home doing nothing all day?”

Yuan Jingcheng’s expression shifted.

Song Xinya: “Is it because you’re too stingy to spend money on your wife?”

Yuan Jingcheng’s face darkened even further.

Ignoring his ugly expression, Song Xinya shut her laptop and walked straight out.

Did he really think he could fool her with that nonsense? No wonder he was so thin. Putting on a ridiculous show every day like that—how could he not lose weight?

Yuan Jingcheng watched Song Xinya’s retreating figure, a cold, sinister light flashing in his eyes.

Song Xinya was becoming more and more arrogant. He had kindly offered her the chance to enjoy life, yet she refused to take his advice.

Yuan Jingcheng felt that the authority of his position as general manager had been seriously challenged.

That afternoon, he compiled a list of clients. Every single one was a terrible client.

Some had sexually harassed private tutors. Some had physically abused private tutors. Others had fabricated obscene rumors about private tutors online…

Yuan Jingcheng assigned Song Xinya to tutor these people.

He had worked in the private education industry for many years and knew exactly what kind of people these clients were. But no one else knew, so if anything happened to Song Xinya, he could make sure no one blamed him.

Yuan Jingcheng said to Song Xinya, “Look how good I’m being to you. I personally put together a group of high-quality clients.”

He urged her, “Go tutor these clients this afternoon.”

Song Xinya refused.

Although she didn’t know that every one of these clients was a dangerous outlaw, she did know one thing: when something was out of the ordinary, there was always a reason. An enemy would never do you a favor for free.

If an enemy offered you a piece of candy, it would contain either feces or arsenic.

Yuan Jingcheng was furious when Song Xinya rejected him, but he suppressed his anger and said, “Teacher Song, I’m the general manager of this company. As an employee, you’re required to cooperate with my work.”

Song Xinya: “Mr. Yuan, it’s not that I’m unwilling to cooperate with you. Chairman Qin told me not to meet with clients recently. You may be the general manager, but he’s the chairman. Of course I’m going to listen to Chairman Qin.”

Once again, Yuan Jingcheng was thoroughly humiliated.

He planted his hands on his hips, his mind racing as he dreamed up all kinds of ways to teach Song Xinya a lesson.

Just then, the company receptionist hurried over. “Mr. Yuan, those people you fired are here causing trouble again!”

Yuan Jingcheng: “Let them cause all the trouble they want. They’re nothing but minnows. They can’t make any real waves.”

The receptionist handed him a sealed document envelope. “They told me to give this to you.”

Yuan Jingcheng took it and opened it for a look. His face immediately changed.

The envelope was filled with evidence of all his illegal activities!
