Did I Get Arrogant After Binding Four Systems?

Chapter 19

It was Monday morning once again.

Mu Yue woke up surrounded by a pile of fluffy creatures, and she reached out to pat each of their heads, making sure no one was left out.

That was right. Ever since the Tycoon had first appeared in its physical form and got to be hugged, cuddled, and even kissed by their host, the other three systems had lectured the Tycoon out loud, while seething with envy in their hearts. That good-for-nothing round-faced big cat, how scheming could it get? It had snuck behind all their backs to snatch the very first spot to be close to the host!

The very next night, the three systems who had claimed they would wait and see all crept onto Mu Yue's bed in the dead of night, one after another. By the time the last one showed up, the atmosphere shifted from awkward silence to a tense undercurrent in just a few seconds. Without Mu Yue ever finding out, the four systems went through a whole string of events: fighting over the best spot, holding a meeting to sort things out, drawing lots, scrapping the lottery system, and finally settling on a rotating schedule.

In short, Mu Yue was now surrounded by four fluffy little furballs every night when she slept. One night, she was even nearly crushed out of breath, and the culprit was the White Bear who had rolled over to lie flat on its back right on her stomach. Overwhelmed with guilt after that incident, Bear-Bear slept at the foot of the bed for three straight days, before it suddenly remembered it wasn't a real bear and could shrink its size. The scheming little thing then shrank itself down to the size of a palm, looking so unbearably cute that Mu Yue's mind went completely blank, and she stuffed it right into her pocket on impulse.

As a result, the four systems not only developed the rotating schedule for sleeping beside Mu Yue, but the ability to shrink down was also added to their shared list of perks.

Mu Yue took these sweet burdens in stride, and now she had to spend a few extra minutes every morning doting on each of the furballs to make sure they were all happy. That morning was no exception.

After tending to all of them, Mu Yue had breakfast while checking her points. She had given Lin Xiaoxiao a huge push in the right direction the day before, and she had easily earned another 100 Villain Points. Now she had 417 points in total.

She didn't plan to use these points on the installment plan anymore. Instead, she exchanged them for two auras, the upgraded version of the previous stickers. She picked the Tranquil Mind aura and the Full Concentration aura, each costing 200 points. The auras were permanent, and the host could turn them on or off freely whenever she wanted.

Mu Yue had used the stickers before, so she knew very well how useful they were. Even though the auras were slightly less effective than the stickers, they lasted indefinitely, which was a huge advantage. Compared to regular students, she was basically cheating her way through school.

The Top Student had a thing or two to say about that. In the eyes of previous hosts, this level of perk wasn't even considered cheating at all. After all, the auras only played an auxiliary role. Whether you wanted to study or not still depended entirely on yourself. If they didn't want to learn and couldn't sit still, no number of auras would do them any good.

The Top Student wanted to pop out and talk to the host, but the Fox swatted him away with one flick of its tail. "Get out of here! It's my shift today, don't even think about stealing my time!" It was the Comeback system's turn to be on duty that day, and it wasn't going to let that sly little chicken trick it out of its precious time with the host.

The little fox had designed a whole set of themed items for itself. When the host carried her schoolbag, it turned into a pink little fox bag charm. When the host flipped through her textbooks, it became a little fox book cover. When the host wrote, it turned into a little fox pen cap. Even the correction fluid bottle had a little fox face printed on it.

Its setup was so thorough that after just one class, girls sitting in the rows in front and back all swarmed over, staring at the pink fluffy little fox pen cap on Mu Yue's desk and chattering nonstop.

"Wow, Mu Yue, did you buy a full set of little fox merch?"

"It's so cute! Which anime character is this? The merch is so well made and so complete, I've never seen anything like it before. And the quality looks amazing, the fur is so shiny and soft!"

"Ugh, just tell me the price so I can give up on wanting it."

Mu Yue used the exact same explanation she had given Lin Xiaoxiao before. "I didn't buy these. They're custom made, you can't find them on the market for now."

The group of girls let out sounds of regret and envy.

Lin Xiaoxiao chimed in to add, "It's not just this pink little fox. Yueyue also has a cat, a little white bear, and a little yellow chick. The texture of those plushies is absolutely out of this world! I guarantee you'll never forget the feeling once you touch them!"

The girls immediately replied, "I don't believe you! Let me touch one to prove it!"

They all burst into laughter after saying that. They were just joking, they never actually expected Mu Yue to take out her private custom plushies for them to touch. But to their surprise, Mu Yue said, "Sure, that's fine."

Then she pulled a little pink fox out of her schoolbag. It was about the size of a volleyball, exactly the same as the little fox on her pen cap. Its fur glowed with an incredibly soft luster under the classroom lights, and the whole room erupted into screams. Mu Yue had quietly talked to Comeback beforehand, and Comeback didn't mind being held and petted by those few girls.

"AAAAAHHH! You're the best, Mu Yue!"

"Our kind-hearted queen, I'd gladly give up ten pounds of my weight just to pray for your good fortune!"

"Ughhhh I really can touch it? Wait, my hands feel a little dirty, I need to go wash them first!"

"Me too, me too!"

"Tch, it's just a stupid plush toy!" A few boys at the back of the classroom curled their lips. "Look at them, fawning all over it!"

"Right! It's not like she's giving them away, they just get to touch it, why are they so excited?"

Someone rolled their eyes at them. "You guys are living in a dream. That level of custom work, and the quality is that good? Those plushies could easily cost tens of thousands each. You think she can just give them away?"

The few boys were stunned. "That expensive? For something that small?!"

"Exactly," the boy who spoke earlier thumped them lightly. "Stop being so sour, don't embarrass us guys here. It's not like she owes you guys a favor—mmph mmph!"

The boys' faces turned bright red as they all clamped their hands over the talkative one's mouth, dragging him out of the classroom in a hurry. Are you crazy? You can't say stuff like that out loud in front of all the girls in the classroom!

Mu Yue didn't notice that little commotion. Before long, the girls all came back after washing their hands, and excitedly started petting her "little fox plush." They didn't give it back to her until class was about to start, looking extremely reluctant to part with it.

Thanks to that incident, many girls in the class felt comfortable coming over to chat with her during breaks, of course only when Mu Yue had free time. If she was buried in her homework or reading, no one would be rude enough to disturb her.

When the weekend came, Lin Xiaoxiao heard the students staying on campus talking about Mu Yue from time to time. She no longer avoided the topic like she used to, and most of the comments were full of praise and admiration. Lin Xiaoxiao felt extremely gratified, and she felt proud as if the praise was for herself. Of course that's how it is, her Yueyue is just that amazing!

Another ordinary, uneventful week passed. Nothing major happened. The only thing that could be considered juicy gossip was that a few couples got caught by the dean for dating this week. Two of the couples were so deeply in love that even after their parents were called in, they insisted no one could tear them apart. Both the parents and the teachers were at their wits' end.

The dean came up with a trick. He made the two couples wear matching couple outfits, and forbade them from calling each other by their real names. They could only use the pet names they had for each other—baby, hubby, wife, darling—and punished them to clean the school's main entrance for a whole week.

If they could put up with that, then their love might actually be the real deal. The dean and all the parents told them this was a test. If they passed, no one would ever stand in the way of their relationship again.

The result was obvious to all. With so many people coming and going at the school gate—not just students and teachers, but also stall owners, passersby, and other parents visiting the school—many people couldn't even hold on for a single day, let alone a whole week. They would break down in tears, swearing they would never get into puppy love again.

Mu Yue shook her head inwardly as she listened. If only this campaign had been launched earlier, now that Lin Xiaoxiao's obsession with romance had already worn off, it was no longer worth it for her to participate.

Days spent studying were always tedious and dull. In the blink of an eye, the May Day holiday was drawing near.

This time, the school made it clear that there would be a three-day break, and on the day right before the holiday, they would organize a day trip to the cultural center for all senior three students. The moment the news came out, the students, who had been studying like exhausted zombies, instantly regained their youthful energy.

There were five cultural centers in City H. This activity was said to be a joint initiative between the local government and the Education Bureau. With the college entrance examination approaching, the May Day holiday was meant to let students relax and ease their anxiety, and several high schools across the city were taking part in it.

The cultural center that No.7 High School was going to visit was the largest one. Apart from the students of No.7 High, there would also be another high school from the city joining them.

The teachers didn't specify which school it was, and the students didn't care much either. After all, getting to go out and have fun was all that mattered to them.

This activity followed the principle of voluntary participation, and there was a small fee to pay. The discounted ticket was only 20 yuan, and lunch, which featured intangible cultural heritage delicacies served at the cultural center, was a bit more expensive at 100 yuan per student. The last expense was the 30 yuan bus fare for the round trip. Dinner was not included, but the school allowed each class to organize a group dinner, as long as the head teacher and accompanying teachers kept a loose eye on the students.

This time, the school was surprisingly considerate, with no hidden extra costs. The total to pay was only 150 yuan, and if a student chose not to take the school bus, they could skip paying the fare entirely. The vast majority of students could easily afford this amount.

Hearing the cheers from her classmates, Mu Yue suddenly remembered a plot point from the original story. While no one else knew which high school would be at the cultural center alongside No.7 High, she did—it was Bilingual High School, the school where the second male lead studied.

The cultural center was the very place where the female lead met the male lead for the first time. The female lead had stopped to use the restroom on the way, and when she came back, she got lost and couldn't find her group. Then her usual bad luck struck, and it was the second male lead who came to her rescue and walked her back to her class. That short period of time they spent alone was witnessed by the male lead, who got so jealous that he lost his mind and forcefully kissed the female lead in a corner of the cultural center.

Hmm, she needed to be on guard for that.

Now that the second male lead wasn't around, that guy Leng Ming might still lose his senses at any moment.

She had been tired from studying lately too, so it was about time she got some rest. Oh right, and she could spend some of the money she had saved up, which had piled up quite a bit. So when the monitor asked who wanted to sign up for the trip, Mu Yue put her name down, and Lin Xiaoxiao signed up right after seeing her do it.

On the afternoon of April 29, No.7 High School let out for the May Day holiday. The break covered the 30th, 1st, and 2nd. Yes, the activity took up one of the holiday days. They got to have fun, but the school was not generous enough to give them an extra full day off.

City H was already pretty good in that regard. In the city next door, senior three students only got one day off for May Day, with every high school across the whole district pushing students to study nonstop.

The 30th turned out to be a bright, sunny day. The Start of Summer was right after May Day, and the weather was already starting to get warm. In the bag she brought out that day, Qianqian had already prepared all her sun protection items—small in size, more than enough for a full day out.

These were just the basics. The day before, Qianqian had also booked a makeup and styling session. This wasn't Qianqian's own idea, though. To be precise, it was a requirement from the Comeback system.

Come on! She had looked up that cultural center already, and it was full of beautiful scenery and architectural spots. Of course she had to dress up nicely to take some photos! Ever since the host transmigrated here, she had been holding back, and this time there was no way she would put it off any longer.

She wouldn't go for something overly fancy and dramatic, but a natural, fresh look was totally fine, right? Mu Yue thought it over and agreed.

After all, this was another chance to be eighteen for her. She was still so young, still in high school, and it was totally worth documenting these moments.

If she was going to do it, she wasn't going to half-ass it. She had bought so many pretty clothes, it would be a waste not to wear them.

Not only did she get styled and dressed up herself, she also invited Lin Xiaoxiao over, and gave her a bubble princess dress that Lin Xiaoxiao had liked. The dress wasn't overly elaborate, it was a more casual style, white and pink with a sheer thin cardigan to go with it—lively, playful, and a little elegant, perfect for the current season, and it was the brand's new release.

Mu Yue picked a new Chinese-style dress that fell to her ankles, in a soft, fresh light green color. It had a fitted waist, and was made with a mix of silk and chiffon, so it was extremely comfortable to wear. The skirt part was printed with orchid patterns, and the top was embroidered with bamboo leaves.

The style might seem a little mature for an eighteen-year-old girl, but the dress suited Mu Yue's temperament perfectly.

The stylist couldn't stop gushing while working on her, "You look so gentle and cool at the same time, this dress was basically made for you! It's absolutely stunning!"

Her hands kept moving as she spoke, "Look, your features are already so beautiful. With just a little touch-up, we can bring out 80% of your natural beauty. 80% is enough, we have to leave some room for your classmates too, right?"

The other people in the room all nodded in agreement. Lin Xiaoxiao couldn't help but nod along nonstop. The stylist was so right, and so good at giving compliments—unlike her, who could only repeat "you look pretty" over and over, her vocabulary was as empty as a textbook with no words.

"Just a little more work on the hairstyle, there we go, add a few little accessories, and it's perfect!"

The stylist stepped away, and Mu Yue saw herself in the mirror. She had a simple, low, one-side half-up hairstyle, not all pulled back, with a few strands of hair left loose, a very classic look. Looking at her hair and her dress, Mu Yue took out the jewelry she had bought before, and a set of white jade accessories was a perfect match for the whole outfit.

Except...

"There's no jade bracelet on my wrist," Mu Yue said, looking at her empty wrist. "Qianqian, do we still have time? Are any jewelry shops open at this hour?"

"Give me a second, I'll make a call right now!" Qianqian didn't hesitate for a moment, immediately looking up which shops along the way to the cultural center might be open at this time.

Mu Yue wasn't taking the school bus, she was heading to the cultural center on her own, and the school required everyone to be there by 9:30. It was only a little after 8 a.m. right now, so there was still enough time to stop by a shop to pick up the bracelet on the way.

Even the styling team, who were used to seeing wealthy people's daily lives, couldn't help but feel a little envious seeing this scene. Being rich was such a nice thing—you could buy whatever you wanted right away, only worrying about whether you had the time to get it, never having to think if you could afford it.

Mu Yue, say something? Just then, Lin Xiaoxiao was all ready too. She had her hair styled in a princess updo paired with a princess dress, a total sweet look that made her look incredibly cute, just like a strawberry ice cream—unlike cake that's cloyingly sweet, she had a surprisingly refreshing vibe. That freshness had a lot to do with her age and makeup, and this makeup team was truly top-notch. The look they did was so natural, you couldn't even spot the traces of it; it looked as if those perfect features were just what they were born with.

They'd definitely book this team again if they needed makeup services in the future.

Before heading out, Lin Xiaoxiao dragged Mu Yue to take several photos together. Once they got in the car, she kept looking at herself in the mirror, and only when that burst of excitement wore off did she ask Mu Yue a little nervously, "Yueyue, don't you think we look a bit over-the-top like this?"

She couldn't help but wonder what their classmates would think when they arrived and saw the two of them all dressed up. Would they end up being the center of unwanted attention, total walking memes?

Over-the-top? Mu Yue glanced at their outfits and makeup and thought they looked anything but. They were totally appropriate for daily wear. Besides, the Cultural Center was a place packed with amateur makeup artists and photographers, and there were a whole bunch of shops around its entrance selling every kind of costume imaginable, from ancient Chinese styles to Western designs. Those outfits would be way more dramatic than what the two of them had on.

They stopped halfway to pick up the bracelets they'd ordered, and as soon as they got to the Cultural Center, sure enough, they spotted a whole line of princesses from the Qin and Han dynasties right at the entrance, plus a few goddesses, Miao ethnic witch characters, and two girls in absurdly abstract cockroach costumes. The guys weren't about to be outdone either: there were emperors, imperial guards, and top scholars from ancient times walking around, along with a few Taoist priests with an ethereal air, swordsmen carrying swords on their backs, two people dressed up as centaurs, and a burly elf. Not to mention a whole group of frog people whose features were impossible to tell apart as male or female.

That group of frog people had even started a dance battle.

Lin Xiaoxiao was completely stunned. She looked herself and Mu Yue over again, and for a moment, she felt like they were far too plain, like they didn't fit in at all with all their classmates' wild looks.

It was half past nine, and the bus from No.7 Middle School still hadn't shown up, but the students from Bilingual School had arrived.

All of Bilingual's students were wearing British-style school uniforms, which made them look really sharp. The first thing they noticed when they got out were the outlandishly dressed students from No.7 Middle School, and they immediately started buzzing about what they saw.

The No.7 Middle School students who'd been having so much fun just a minute ago, especially the ones in the most abstract costumes, suddenly felt a little awkward. They couldn't really bring themselves to smile anymore, and started to worry that their outfits made them look really unpolished and silly.

The Bilingual School students hadn't actually said anything rude; just like Lin Xiaoxiao, they were simply shocked by the scene. But every school had its share of loudmouths and fools, and Bilingual was no exception.

Mu Yue caught several snide remarks coming from their direction. Even though their accompanying teachers tried to stop them, the comments didn't die down completely, and some people just got more and more provocative. The No.7 Middle School crowd was obviously annoyed, and they started muttering back things like "Some people dress like they're proper humans, but all that comes out of their mouths is garbage".

Tensions were starting to rise between the two groups, and they only held back from storming over to yell at each other because their teachers were there keeping an eye on things.

Somehow, that hostile vibe drifted over to Mu Yue and Lin Xiaoxiao, who were standing under a tree.

"Hey, aren't you Lin Xiaoxiao? Do you remember me? We were in the same class back in junior high. What's with you... wearing knockoffs now?" A few girls walked over, with polite smiles on their faces but nothing but mockery in their eyes. They kept their voices low, and the teachers, who were busy reining in the hot-headed boys, didn't notice them.

Lin Xiaoxiao had been about to greet them warmly, even though she couldn't place which of her old junior high classmates this was, when she heard the rest of the sentence. She let out a confused "Huh?"

Knockoffs? Were they saying she was wearing a fake? Even if she was, so what? She hadn't stolen it. Why were they talking to her so unpleasantly? She couldn't recall ever doing anything to upset them.

So after a moment of bewilderment, Lin Xiaoxiao asked, "I'm sorry, but who are you again?"

She really was just asking for their name, but to the girl who spoke, that sounded like a deliberate snub.

"Ha!" The girl pulled a classic over-the-top unimpressed face you'd see in a K-drama. "You really are too important to remember little people like me! I sat right behind you, third seat to the left, all through junior high!"

Lin Xiaoxiao: ...

Mu Yue: ...

To be honest, that seat was pretty far back, and a pretty far position to keep track of.

The girl flipped her hair and looked at Lin Xiaoxiao with disdain. "I heard your family went bankrupt ages ago, and you even had to sell your old house. That dress you're wearing is this season's latest design. There's no way you can afford a real one now, so you can only wear cheap fakes, right?"

The girl was just about to keep running her mouth when Mu Yue held up a hand to pause her. She was sick of this generic side character picking on the female lead plot, so she sent a voice message to Qianqian: "Send me the receipt for that Y brand dress I gave Xiaoxiao today."

It didn't take long for the receipt to come through, complete with photos of the physical receipt and a digital copy of the purchase record. Mu Yue turned her phone around to show it to the group of girls. "No more nonsense. Apologize right now for that stupid, uncalled-for comment you just made. If you don't, I'll go straight to your school's teacher. You've got nothing better to do than pick on people, but I don't have the time to waste chattering with you."

The girl: ...

The other girls with her silently stepped a couple of feet away. We had nothing to do with this! She's the one who said she saw an old classmate and wanted to say hi!

The students who'd been secretly watching the whole scene: "!!!" Wait, did that face-slapping just happen way too fast? The whole drama didn't even finish playing out! We didn't get to enjoy it at all, can't they drag this out for two more minutes?

"Pfft!" Someone accidentally burst out laughing. Sure enough, he was right about what he saw that day in the residential complex—this girl was not someone you wanted to mess with. And he had to take back what he thought of her back then. She didn't just have a plain face, she was really beautiful.

"What are you laughing at?" His classmate looked around. "Cheng Zimin, what's so funny that you're leaving your buddy out of it?"

Cheng Zimin glanced at him and said teasingly, "If you're not my buddy, are you my wife?"

Their little group burst into laughter, drawing the attention of all the students from both schools. Mu Yue looked over too, and that was when she spotted the second male lead she'd run into at the residential complex last time.

The second male lead stood in the middle of the crowd with a soft smile, letting the guy next to him nudge him around without a hint of irritation.

Not long after, the bus from No.7 Middle School finally arrived, and the conflict between the two schools never escalated into a real fight. Since No.7 Middle School's group was running late, everyone had to gather first to do a headcount.

The students in the silly, abstract costumes who'd felt embarrassed at being laughed at by the other school a little while ago regained all their confidence once they were surrounded by their own classmates, and their funny antics made their teachers and peers laugh so hard they were slapping their thighs.

The trip to the cultural center went off without a hitch. The venue was huge, packed with exhibition halls and activity spaces, and there were still tons of fun spots for the students to explore. They came across so many interesting things there, and a few of the little anecdotes were so vivid that they snuck up on the students, forcing bits of knowledge and culture to stick in their heads before they knew it.

All in all, the event was really laid-back. Mu Yue and Lin Xiaoxiao took tons of great photos too. On the surface, Mu Yue was the one taking pictures with her phone, but it was actually Comeback operating the camera the whole time. Comeback kept bragging that its photography skills were maxed out.

With Mu Yue around, Lin Xiaoxiao didn't pull that stunt of getting lost all by herself just to go to the bathroom like last time, and she also didn't run into the second male lead alone. The only time the group crossed paths with him was once, not at the main gate, but when they were taking photos by the lake. A couple of girls from the bilingual program had dragged the second male lead over, surrounding him, and asked him to sketch them sitting by the water.

The second male lead looked a little helpless and said he didn't bring his drawing supplies, but right then one of the girls pulled a pen and paper out of her pocket. He took the stationery, gave them a soft gentle smile, and did a quick simple sketch for every single one of them.

But Mu Yue saw right through him. That guy was definitely cussing up a storm in his head, that smile of his was totally a pre-made fake template.

Lin Xiaoxiao didn't care much for the second male lead at all, she just snuck a couple extra curious glances at him since he was undeniably good-looking.

As for the male lead Leng Ming, finally something popped up late that afternoon.

It was bad news for any regular person, but for Mu Yue, it was the best entertainment ever.

Hahaha! Leng Ming got hit by a car today. Well, to be precise, the car he was riding in got hit by another car, and then the delightfully predictable mess unfolded.

With that arrogant attitude Leng Ming usually carried, it was obvious he couldn't handle the situation properly at all. Instead, he only managed to stir up more conflict, so no one was surprised when he and the other driver got into a full-on fistfight.

Both of them ended up in the hospital.

The call Lin Xiaoxiao got was from her dad. The two families were on good terms, and since someone had ended up beaten up in hospital during the holiday, it was only natural that they go pay a visit.

Mu Yue was dying to hear all the juicy details, so she had Lin Xiaoxiao make a few inquiries and got the full story of what had happened.

What a coincidence! The guy who crashed into Leng Ming's car was none other than Qian Lei, who was currently under a ridiculous bad luck buff. The other day Qian Lei tried to show off at the mall and totally flopped, getting publicly humiliated by Mu Yue instead. He wasn't imagining things that day, there were acquaintances of his who'd come over to watch the commotion, and the whole story spread through their social circle like wildfire.

Qian Lei had been the butt of everyone's jokes for days, and he was so frustrated and seething with anger that he just wanted to find someone to take it out on to blow off some steam. But then things went way, way worse than he expected. He couldn't get it up! He couldn't believe it, and went to look for several different women one after another to test it, but nothing worked with any of them.

At first the situation could have been contained, but the problem was he went to so many people, it was inevitable someone would let the secret slip.

And just like that, after being a joke for a few days, he was promoted straight to the biggest joke of the year. Practically everyone who saw Qian Lei would ask him if he liked his noodles hard or soft, if he liked his alcohol hard or soft. Qian Lei was furious, he'd blow up at them, but they'd just tease him even more saying they were only talking about food and drinks, nothing else, why was he being so sensitive?

And then the most absolutely devastating thing hit: his own older sister was using this whole scandal to steal his position as the family's heir. Damn it! What right did a woman have to that? That position was supposed to be his!

That day Qian Lei rushed out, hurrying to go confront his sister and talk to his dad, and that was when he ran straight into Leng Ming, who also happened to be in a terrible mood lately. Two total jerks crashing into each other? Of course it ended with both sides badly bruised and beaten.

"Tsk tsk tsk," Mu Yue kept shaking her head. This male lead is so underwhelming, honestly this whole thing is so uncool and lacking in dignity.

Even in campus romance novels, the male lead only ever gets into fights with the second male lead over the heroine! Getting into a brawl with some random side character, and such a lame one at that, and not even winning? That's a total disgrace to the male lead title!

"That's right!" the system group chimed in.

"The female lead won't choose him anymore, so he's not the male lead anymore. His male lead halo is fading away little by little."

Mu Yue's eyes lit up. "What happens to him later then?"

Top Student said, "It's a vicious cycle. If he keeps doing more of these undignified things, his halo will disappear even faster. The more his halo fades, the more ordinary he becomes, and the less ordinary people will put him on a pedestal. The only way to turn it around is for him to win back the female lead's love and rebuild his perfect image in her eyes."

The Villain system immediately jumped in with a tip. "Exactly! The more his image crumbles in the female lead's eyes, the faster his halo vanishes. You get what we're saying, right, host?"

Mu Yue raised her eyebrows in a grin. Of course she got it. She was the villainess of this story after all! Pulling off these little bad-guy tricks to mess with his image? That was a piece of cake for her.
