Bro, If You Keep Being a Simp, I’ll Go After Your Rival

Chapter 11

Cui Wu’s gaze at Zhou Suisui had changed completely.

Miss has finally come to her senses.

She had always believed that kindness needed to have an edge. Otherwise, rules became nothing more than decorations, and anyone could trample all over them.

The moment Old Wang heard the words “fire me,” he became agitated.

“This household is still run by the young master. The young master hasn’t said anything, so what right do you have to fire me?”

Zhou Suisui smiled. “Because I own half of the Zhou family too!”

She had been protected too well by Zhou Sui’an and usually never concerned herself with household matters.

But now that she had come of age, she realized that there were some things she needed to handle herself and that she had to establish certain boundaries.

Old Wang’s eyes widened, and for a long while, he was unable to say a word.

“I’m calling the young master.”

Seeing Zhou Suisui like this, Old Wang began to panic as well.

But Zhou Suisui merely gave a cold, quiet laugh. “Go ahead. I’d like to see how you explain using the Zhou family’s car for private jobs and neglecting your duties.”

He had been driving the family’s car out to take private wedding-ceremony bookings. A Bentley worth tens of millions could earn him several thousand yuan a day.

He took several days off every month. Not only did he make money on the side, but he also neglected his actual duties as a driver.

Her brother was easygoing by nature. After Old Wang drove one car away, he simply drove another sports car himself.

The Zhou family had plenty of cars.

She had overlooked it before because she didn’t want to make things difficult for a mere servant.

But now, it seemed there was no point in playing the kind and trusting fool.

Old Wang finally began to panic.

He couldn’t be fired. At his age, where would he find such a good job?

Six types of social insurance and a housing fund, sixteen months of salary a year, twenty days of annual leave, and, most importantly, unlimited flexibility when asking for time off.

He immediately called Zhou Sui’an.

But no one answered.

Zhou Suisui glanced at the message her brother’s assistant had sent her: “CEO Zhou is currently in a meeting.” The corners of her lips curled into a cold smile.

There was no way he would be able to get through to her brother.

Sure enough, Old Wang called several times in a row, but no one picked up. His expression changed.

He glanced at Zhou Suisui, his eyes shifting uneasily, then walked to the side and dialed another number.

Cui Wu quietly leaned toward Zhou Suisui, her voice filled with confusion.

“Miss, who is Old Wang calling?”

Could there be someone else in this household willing to back him up?

Zhou Suisui uttered two words.

“Su Wan.”

“What? They know each other?” Cui Wu was stunned.

Zhou Suisui nodded.

The reason she wanted to fire Uncle Wang wasn’t simply because he had been taking the car out for private jobs.

It was because… he belonged to Su Wan.

He had to be driven out of the Zhou family before her brother could have peace.

About three or four minutes later, Old Wang finished his call and walked back.

The panic from earlier had vanished. His face was once again filled with confidence.

“Miss, perhaps you should ask the young master about firing me first. I’m only a driver. Surely you don’t want to cause friction between yourself and the young master over me, do you?”

Zhou Suisui almost laughed in exasperation.

“Are you threatening me with my brother? Uncle Wang, is this your first day with the Zhou family? Are you really so certain that my brother would fall out with me over an outsider?”

Old Wang’s expression shifted slightly, but when he thought of Su Wan’s promise, he regained his composure.

“There’s no point in saying more. We’ll wait and see what the young master says. He’s my employer, after all.”

Zhou Suisui’s smile disappeared. Her clear eyes held a composure and calm far beyond her years, sending a chill through anyone who saw them.

“Someone get him out of here.”

Zhou Suisui couldn’t be bothered to argue with him any longer.

She intended to get rid of him before her brother found out about his relationship with Su Wan.

The bodyguards immediately came over and grabbed Old Wang.

Old Wang struggled indignantly, but with his aging arms and legs, how could he possibly be a match for the tall, powerfully built bodyguards?

Old Wang was thrown out of the villa, still shouting in protest.

“Zhou Suisui, do you even know who I am? If you dare to throw me out, your brother will definitely be angry!”

“Is that so? Then I’ll wait and see!”

Zhou Suisui smiled wickedly. “Someone, throw him farther away. He’s making too much noise.”

“Yes, Miss.”

“How dare you… Mmph!”

Old Wang’s struggling voice grew fainter and fainter, until the commotion at the entrance finally fell silent again.

Cui Wu was somewhat worried. “Miss, the young master really has been treating Old Wang well lately. Should we ask the young master about firing him first?”

Zhou Suisui gave her a reassuring look. “I’m doing this precisely because I need to handle it before he finds out. Otherwise, it won’t be so simple.”

Weren’t they pretending in front of her brother and hiding their relationship?

Then she would drive Old Wang out of the Zhou family before their relationship was exposed.

It was easy to leave, but getting back in would be another matter.

Cui Wu didn’t try to persuade her again. She only said, “Miss, I support your decision. If the young master blames you, just tell him it was my idea.”

Zhou Suisui’s expression softened, and a warm current slowly flowed through her heart.

In her previous life, when the Zhou family fell into ruin, she had seen far too many hypocritical faces.

Only Cui Wu had stayed by her side from beginning to end.

“Sister Wu, don’t worry. I trust my brother. He won’t be unreasonable.”

Cui Wu nodded. “I’ll drive you there.”

But Zhou Suisui stopped her. “I can go myself. Sister Wu, I need you to take care of something for me.”

After hearing what she wanted, Cui Wu’s expression became somewhat strange. “All right. I’ll handle it right away.”

She turned to leave, then stopped and said worriedly, “Miss, you haven’t driven since getting your license. Are you sure you can manage on your own?”

Zhou Suisui smiled. “I have to try to grow up on my own eventually.”

Cui Wu sighed inwardly. It seemed that Miss had truly matured.

Whenever Zhou Suisui went out, a driver had always been there to take her. Even after getting her license, she had never driven herself.

But in her previous life, after the Zhou family went bankrupt and her brother died, she had done everything herself to seek justice for him. Driving had become an ordinary part of her life.

Soon, the car stopped in front of the company.

Zhou Suisui opened the door, got out with the lunchbox in hand, and headed toward the company lobby.

After walking past the reception desk, she received greetings from employees along the way.

Zhou Suisui maintained a polite smile and responded to each of them.

“Hey, is it just me, or does Miss seem a little different today?”

“How is she different? She’s still as beautiful as ever. She looks like a gorgeous doll. I wonder what kind of man will be lucky enough to marry her.”

“With a family like hers, she’ll definitely be used for a political marriage.”

“Not necessarily. What about our CEO…”

The two exchanged a meaningful glance.

Wasn’t their CEO a hopeless romantic?

What was so good about that woman, Su Wan, with all her pretenses?

“Sigh, we’re all women, but our fates are worlds apart. Seeing Su Wan makes me wonder if I could land a domineering CEO too.”

“Dream on. Just focus on being a wage slave. Stop fantasizing about marrying into wealth.”

“Hmph. Can’t I at least have a little dream?”

Zhou Suisui had excellent hearing. While waiting for the elevator, she overheard the employees’ discussion, and her heart gave a faint jolt.

See? Even the employees knew that her brother was a hopeless romantic.

But… a political marriage?
