“Can’t you show a little spirit of sacrifice?”
He threw the zombie squad leader’s moral blackmail right back at him, then added with unusual flair, “This isn’t just a political marriage between the government and the local powers. It’s also a breakthrough in friendship between zombies and humans. Ms. Little Zombie, from now on, you’ll be Princess Wencheng of the zombie world—the guiding light among the living dead.”
The zombie had been hoisted onto a moral pedestal. Isolated and helpless, she mourned for a moment before asking with her last shred of hope, “...Sweetie, you’re serious, right? You’re really not just messing with me?”
“This concerns the success or failure of the mission.” Fu Qi furrowed his thick brows and said sternly, “Ms. Little Zombie, please adjust your attitude.”
His expression was severe, like that of an imposing drill instructor. Frightened, the zombie hurriedly sat up straight.
“Then... wouldn’t I be committing b-bigamy?”
“You’re only pretending to agree to the marriage alliance. Once we meet Academician Jiang, it’ll be over. Ms. Little Zombie, rest assured—the organization won’t throw any of its comrades into a den of wolves.”
“Okay, okay.” Unable to withstand the pressure from her superior, the zombie agreed with a mournful expression, then cautiously asked, “Then... can you put me in for a f-first-class merit?”
Fu Qi’s thick brows drew together. After thinking for a moment, he answered cautiously, “I’ll report everything truthfully. As for how it’s rated, that will be up to the higher-ups.”
“Okay, okay.” The zombie nodded repeatedly. “I guarantee I’ll complete the m-mission!”
Now that the serious business was settled, Fu Qi relaxed, and the zombie was no longer so tense.
Since she had been entrusted with such an important responsibility—and was rarely allowed to use electricity freely—the zombie had no interest in playing with her phone or reading novels. She lay beside Fu Qi, more focused than ever as she pondered the mission. She didn’t even notice that Fu Qi had turned his head to look at her. The longer he watched, the higher the corners of his mouth lifted.
And so, the night passed.
The next morning, Fu Qi woke to find a pair of expectant eyes staring at him.
“Captain, when are they coming to p-propose?”
Fu Qi stared at the zombie for several seconds, then raised a hand to cover his face. After a moment, he said in a muffled voice, “I’m going to wash up first.”
He went into the bathroom, with a little tail following close behind.
After a night of letting the idea sink in, the zombie had completely accepted the mission. Her heart was now filled with enthusiasm for sacrificing herself for the cause, and she chattered nonstop.
“Captain, should I act e-enthusiastic when the time comes, or c-cold?”
“Am I the groom or the bride? I don’t want to wear a w-wedding dress, and I don’t want to wear a s-suit either. Captain, can I wear l-leather when we get married? Like Ye Hui—something c-cool!”
“Sweetie, you’ll take p-pictures for me...”
Fu Qi finally managed to finish washing up. He vigorously wiped the water from his face and asked, “Are you genuinely willing to sacrifice yourself for the mission now?”
“I am.” Qin Zhen answered earnestly, “Mission first!”
“...Ahem!” Fu Qi covered his mouth and coughed hard before saying, “There’s no need to rush into marriage. Start by going on dates and building feelings. Pay close attention to the layout of the base and prepare for our evacuation.”
“Yes, sir!”
They had barely said a few words when Ye Peng arrived to take them on a tour of the base. Just as they were about to get into the car, the roar of an engine announced Ye Hui’s arrival on her flashy motorcycle.
As usual, she wore a leather jacket and long boots. Because the sunlight was strong, she had also put on sunglasses. Now, with one foot planted on the ground, she pushed the glasses up onto her head, looking impossibly cool.
“I’m here to pick you up,” she said.
The zombie was dazzled with envy and started toward her, but Fu Qi was quick enough to grab her.
“My little sister is a young woman. It isn’t safe for her to be running around outside all the time. I’ll entertain our guests. You should go back and rest, sis.” Ye Peng came forward, leaning on his cane and smiling warmly.
Ye Hui lifted one eyelid. “Since your leg is injured, cousin, you’re the one who should be getting more rest.”
The seemingly casual remark instantly changed Ye Peng’s expression.
Even Qin Zhen, who was hopelessly inept at reading social situations, could tell that something was wrong between the siblings. She cautiously took a step back and caught hold of Fu Qi’s sleeve.
Ye Peng’s face was ugly, but presumably because they had outsiders present, he forced a fake smile and didn’t argue further with Ye Hui. Instead, he turned to Fu Qi and asked, “Captain Fu, would you rather ride in my car or on my little sister’s motorcycle?”
Fu Qi looked down at Qin Zhen. “Little Zombie, what do you think?”
All eyes turned toward Ms. Little Zombie. She grew a little nervous and rapidly considered her options before saying, “I want to d-drive myself.”
No one present had expected that answer. But Ye Hui said it was fine, and Ye Peng immediately followed suit, quickly having someone bring over a new car.
Qin Zhen climbed inside. Once the windows were closed, she turned to Fu Qi and said, “What do we do, Captain? My b-brother-in-law and my f-fiancée have a terrible relationship!”
“...”
The words “brother-in-law” nearly made Fu Qi choke.
“Whose s-side do we take?” Qin Zhen was a novice driver. She had to start the car while also keeping an eye out for anyone eavesdropping outside, so she failed to notice her captain’s reaction and asked with complete seriousness.
Fu Qi steadied himself and asked in return, “Which side do you want to take?”
Qin Zhen knitted her brows and hesitated. “Ye Hui? She’s my f-fiancée, and she’s c-cool. She looks like a good person.”
Fu Qi was speechless at her habit of judging people by appearances, but he didn’t stop her. “Then we’ll take her side.”
Having chosen their vehicle, they stuck with it. The group drove their respective vehicles around the base for a simple tour. Since they hadn’t spent much time together, nothing happened, and the day ended without incident.
The next day, the Ye siblings came again. This time, one of the two guests rode in Ye Peng’s car, while the other sat on the back of Ye Hui’s motorcycle.
It was Qin Zhen’s first time riding this kind of vehicle. She wasn’t used to it, and since she wasn’t familiar with Ye Hui either, she had no idea where to put her hands.
Ye Hui was much more straightforward. “Put your arms around my waist.”
Qin Zhen’s face warmed, and she said bashfully, “W-wouldn’t that be inappropriate?”
They weren’t even married yet.
Ye Hui glanced back at her and gave a soft snort. “The first time I saw you outside the base, I thought you were a little old-fashioned. Turns out I was right.”
Qin Zhen: “...”
Not wanting to be laughed at, the zombie shifted her hands and carefully wrapped them around Ye Hui’s waist.
At first, she was still unaccustomed to it. But once she had settled her grip and the motorcycle picked up speed, the wind began to rush past her ears, and Qin Zhen gradually relaxed.
She liked the wind. It reminded her of the first time she had left her tomb on a glider. It was comfortable. It was freedom.
“Tell me if you’re scared,” Ye Hui called out over the wind.
“I’m not scared,” Qin Zhen replied.
The wind was too loud for Ye Hui to hear her. She turned her head slightly. “What did you say?”
Her long hair whipped wildly in the wind, blowing across Qin Zhen’s face. Still holding Ye Hui around the waist with one hand, Qin Zhen used the other to brush the stray hair away. Leaning forward, she shouted, “I’m not scared!”
“Then should I go faster?”
“Okay!”
The moment she said it, Ye Hui twisted the throttle. The completely black motorcycle transformed from a gray wolf into a swift cheetah, shooting forward in an instant. The rushing wind struck Qin Zhen in the face, forcing her to close her eyes for a second.
She reopened them almost immediately. Watching the little villas on either side fly backward, she felt so exhilarated that she wanted to shout into the wind.
“Feels good, doesn’t it?” Ye Hui called loudly.
“Feels great!” Qin Zhen shouted back, raising one hand in celebration.
Up ahead, by the roadside, stood a ginkgo tree whose leaves were still half green and half gold. She reached out and “swish, swish, swish,” yanked down a handful of leaves, then released them into the wind. The yellow leaves floated down like a flock of butterflies, scattering all over the car following behind.
Inside the car, Fu Qi stared at the figure speeding along on the motorcycle ahead, his lips pressed into a thin line.
Ye Peng watched his expression and said, “My little sister’s rebellious. She’s loved taking risks since she was a child and has caused Uncle no end of trouble. But don’t worry, Captain Fu. She’s an excellent rider. She won’t let anything happen to Jiang Feng.”
Fu Qi glanced at him. “Miss Ye certainly has a personality.”
Ye Peng smiled dismissively. “At the end of the day, she’s still a woman.”
Then he added, “With Captain Fu’s abilities, you could have chosen someone much better. Why bother taking orders from some little brat?”
When he had mentioned Qin Zhen earlier, he had merely left off the honorific “Miss.” Now he had gone so far as to replace it with “little brat.”
“I never underestimate any ‘little brats,’” Fu Qi said. He turned to Ye Peng, his gaze meaningful. “Some ‘little brats’ may be far more dangerous than they appear.”
“I’ll admit that,” Ye Peng said. “Academician Jiang is formidable, but I really can’t see what value there is in this granddaughter of hers.”
Fu Qi smiled. “You’ll find out soon enough.”
Ye Peng didn’t understand what he meant. When Fu Qi’s gaze returned to the figure cheerfully racing ahead, Ye Peng followed his line of sight and studied the rider for a while, but still couldn’t spot anything unusual.
He tapped the back of the driver’s seat. The driver understood and honked the horn.
The honk reached the ears of the zombie, who was thoroughly enjoying her ride. She instinctively glanced back. The motorcycle happened to be at a bend, and she clearly saw Fu Qi’s stern expression in the back seat.
The zombie’s heart lurched. She realized that she had been so busy having fun that she had forgotten about the mission. In a panic, she secretly flashed Fu Qi an “OK” sign, then turned around, wrapped her arms around Ye Hui’s waist, and leaned against her back to start chatting.
She turned so quickly that she failed to notice the twitch at the corner of Fu Qi’s eye.
The zombie had only been out of the tomb for a few months and hadn’t interacted with many people. She didn’t know how to make conversation. After thinking it over for a long while, she decided to ask Ye Hui to teach her how to ride a motorcycle.
Ye Hui agreed without saying a word.
When they returned that evening, Qin Zhen told Fu Qi, “Ye Hui may look cold and aloof, but she’s actually easy to get along with. And she teaches very seriously.”
Her driver’s license had been freshly forged, and she knew nothing whatsoever about heavy motorcycles. It had been quite a feat for Ye Hui to be so patient with her.
Thinking of that, the zombie felt a little moved. “Maybe she’s satisfied with me and wants to make this marriage alliance work.”
As she spoke, she began to feel guilty. “It’s a pity I’m a love, love fraud. I’m destined not to be able to give her happiness.”
She spoke with such heartfelt sincerity for quite a while, but Fu Qi didn’t make a sound. Qin Zhen turned her head and saw him squinting at her, his expression strange.
“What’s wrong?”
The corners of Fu Qi’s mouth twitched slightly. “Finish your sentences.”
The zombie believed she had won the heart of a human girl. She felt a little guilty, but also somewhat proud. Her mood was complicated, though not unpleasant, so she obediently repeated herself. “What’s wrong?”
Fu Qi fell silent for a moment. After looking her over several times, he said, “You do remember that there’s a species barrier between zombies and humans, right?”
“I remember.” Qin Zhen nodded, then waved her hand. “It’s fine. We’re not really getting, getting married. Even if we did, it’d be fine. I’ve already thought it through. You humans can marry ghosts, fo, foxes, pigs, and trees. Marrying a zombie isn’t a problem!”
Fu Qi: “…”
Qin Zhen continued admiringly, “You humans really are incredibly accepting. Your tastes are really, really heavy!”
Fu Qi: “…”
That still wasn’t enough. After making a series of tsking noises, the zombie tugged secretly at Fu Qi’s sleeve and asked him, her face full of gossip, “Have there ever been humans who fell in love with zom, zombies? If they dated, could they ki, kiss? Would they mutate?”
“…Comrade Little Zombie!” Fu Qi suddenly turned cold, startling her.
“What’s wrong?”
“Joking is not allowed during a mission.” Fu Qi’s voice was stern. Recalling what had happened during the day, he added, “And watch your boundaries!”
After being reminded to watch her boundaries, the zombie didn’t hold Ye Hui so tightly when she rode on the back of her motorcycle again. She behaved properly while learning, doing her best to avoid physical contact.
The Dayu Base wanted the zombie interference agent developed by the Beicheng Base. They had asked about it several times, both openly and covertly, but Fu Qi refused to budge, while Qin Zhen genuinely knew nothing about it.
With no other choice, they switched tactics and tried to win them over. Besides taking them around to see the prosperity of the base, they boasted relentlessly about their strength and even brought Fu Qi to tour their armory.
After several days, they had basically mapped out the layout of the base. Qin Zhen had also learned how to ride a motorcycle. The Ye family, however, still refused to let them meet Academician Jiang, and the zombie was beginning to lose patience.
There was another banquet at the base that day. Everyone from the Dayu Base was dressed to the nines, raising glasses and exchanging pleasantries. Only Ye Hui sat in a corner, drinking alone.
After several days, Qin Zhen had more or less figured things out. Although Ye Hui was the base leader’s only daughter, she was not valued. Her standing in the base was far lower than Ye Peng’s.
Apart from a few men who were clearly trying to climb the social ladder and took the initiative to speak with her, hardly anyone went near her.
That was understandable. She and Ye Peng did not get along, and the more prominent he became, the more heavily she was suppressed. No wonder she had been sent to “marry off” for the sake of an alliance.
In any case, Ye Hui was technically her “fiancée.” The zombie couldn’t bear to watch her being ignored, so she said something to Fu Qi and quietly made her way over.
After several days together, the two of them had grown fairly familiar. Ye Hui glanced at her and said, “What are you grinning about?”
“I’m not grinning.” The zombie felt wronged. She had clearly been offering a friendly, comforting smile.
“Then stop smiling. Your face is painted so white that you look terrifying when you smile. I’m afraid I’ll have nightmares.”
Qin Zhen thought Ye Hui could be rather nasty sometimes, but since Ye Hui was in a bad mood, she let it go.
She sat down beside her, intending to replace verbal comfort with silent companionship.
They hadn’t been sitting there long when Qin Zhen saw a guard hurry in from the distance. He first went over to Ye Xunqing and reported something, then was directed to Ye Peng, clearly being told to let him handle the matter.
After hearing the report, Ye Peng gave a few instructions and sent the guard away, without the slightest intention of consulting Ye Hui.
Qin Zhen couldn’t help patting Ye Hui on the arm in consolation. “You’re better than your cousin!”
Ye Hui stared fixedly at her cousin in the distance. “I know.”
“Not humble at all, are you?”
“There’s no need to be humble,” Ye Hui said. “My cousin is nine years older than me. He was useless from childhood. After graduating from high school, he went abroad and spent several years fooling around. He never managed to finish university, but he did end up injuring his leg in a fight.”
The zombie loved gossip. She listened while studying the subject of their conversation.
The current Ye Peng might not exactly look refined, but in a suit, he at least resembled a steady, successful man. He was a far cry from the delinquent Ye Hui had described.
But then again, Fu Qi was quite refined when he kept his mouth shut. The moment he opened it, though, he made people want to punch him. That explained everything.
People were good at pretending, after all.
“From childhood through college, I ranked near the top in every exam. I came second in the entire city in the gaokao and won countless honors at university. But just because I’m a woman, no matter how outstanding I am, I’ll never measure up to him, and I’ll never be allowed to inherit the family business. Even though he’s crippled, even though zombies are running rampant and society has collapsed, Ye Xunqing still thinks I’m inferior to him.”
Qin Zhen understood at once. Male preference in the family.
Understanding it was one thing, but why anyone would value an incompetent nephew over their own intelligent daughter was still beyond a zombie’s comprehension.
Fu Qi was always calling her feudal-minded, when humans were clearly far more feudal than she was.
Qin Zhen thought carefully for a moment, then suggested, “Then fight him for it! Anyway, your world believes in the strong—strongest wins!”
“I’ve been fighting for it all along. But no matter how hard I work or how much I accomplish, no one ever looks at me properly. In their eyes, my only value is as a marriage alliance.”
As Ye Hui spoke, she seemed to remember something and let out a cold laugh filled with hatred.
That left the zombie at a loss. After all, the person Ye Hui was supposed to marry was her.
After an awkward pause, Qin Zhen said stiffly, “Our princesses have to go off and marry for peace, no matter what era it is. But don’t worry, I’ll treat you well!”
“You’ll treat me well?” Ye Hui frowned, her heroic brows drawing together as she looked at her strangely.
Thinking Ye Hui didn’t believe her, Qin Zhen hurriedly added, “No matter how long our marriage, marriage pact lasts, I’ll do my best to treat you well.”
Once she rescued Academician Jiang, she would be leaving. Before she went, she would divide her treasures into two portions and leave one for Ye Hui.
That would be taking responsibility for Ye Hui, as well as making amends.
Ye Hui’s brows furrowed even more deeply. She looked Qin Zhen up and down several times, then relaxed and said bluntly, “Thank you for the offer, but I’m afraid I’ll have to decline. The men around me may all be trash, but I’m still straight. Find someone else.”
Qin Zhen instinctively said, “I’m straight too…”
Too what? The rest of the sentence died on her lips when she remembered the husband of her dead classmate.
The zombie scratched her head and abandoned the unfinished thought. Generously, she said, “It’s fine. We can just have a marriage alliance. It won’t be real.”
Ye Hui said, “What marriage alliance?”
“You and me…”
As she spoke, their eyes met.
Looking into Ye Hui’s frank, puzzled eyes, the zombie froze. Confusion slowly crept over her face, then gave way to sudden realization, and finally embarrassment.
Zombies couldn’t blush, yet Qin Zhen felt as though her entire face had turned scarlet.
After that, no matter what Ye Hui said, she kept her head lowered and stammered incoherently. She didn’t manage to say a single complete sentence for the rest of the evening.
When the banquet ended and they returned to their quarters, Qin Zhen closed the door. Before she even had time to turn on the light, she spun around and punched Fu Qi in the stomach.
The blow came without warning. Fu Qi took it, then caught the fist she swung at him again. The moment he met the zombie’s furious gaze, he understood exactly what had happened.
He grinned. “What’s wrong, Comrade Little Zombie? Not afraid of going to jail for assaulting a public servant anymore?”
“Go to hell!”
What marriage alliance? There had never been any such thing. Fu Qi had tricked her again!
Qin Zhen had fallen for a huge lie this time, and she had embarrassed herself in front of an outsider. Furious, she forgot all about him being a public servant or a captain and pounced on Fu Qi, beating him with all her might—just like she had when she first discovered that the human world was overrun with zombies.
Fu Qi was pinned beneath her and took several blows, yet he still had the nerve to laugh. “It’s been a long time since I’ve taken a beating this vicious. I’m almost starting to miss it.”
That only made Qin Zhen hit him harder.
Every time Fu Qi got beaten up, it was because he had run his mouth. Since he was in the wrong, he always simply caught Qin Zhen’s fists and dodged them, never striking back. This time was no different.
But after they had struggled for a while, he suddenly lifted his head. Then he clamped down hard on Qin Zhen’s arm and forced her onto her back. When she was about to cry out, he covered her mouth.
“Shh—”
Fu Qi’s breath brushed against Qin Zhen’s ear, stirring the strands of her hair and tickling her cheek.
Not knowing what was happening, she instinctively fell silent and listened. Apart from the wind outside, she couldn’t hear a thing. Thinking Fu Qi was playing another trick on her, she twisted around to resume the beating.
The moment she moved, Fu Qi pressed her firmly down.
In the darkness, he took her hand and quickly traced a few strokes across her palm. Qin Zhen felt them and realized he had written the character “north.”
She stopped moving and listened carefully for a while. Faintly, she heard a slight noise coming from the bedrooms on the north side.
Her eyes widened as she looked at Fu Qi.
The sky had been gloomy all day, and the moon had not appeared that night. With the lights off, the room was pitch-black. Fortunately, they were close enough to see each other’s expressions.
Fu Qi gave Qin Zhen a slight nod, then released her. He rose silently and pressed himself against the wall, holding his breath as he waited.
About thirty seconds later, a pitch-black figure holding a gun slowly emerged from the bedroom. This was the moment Fu Qi had been waiting for. He struck with lightning speed, seized the intruder by the neck, and twisted. A faint crack sounded, and the figure immediately went limp.
Once a person died, the zombie virus would rapidly take control of the body, transforming it into a flesh-eating monster.
As the corpse stiffly tried to stand, Fu Qi had already snatched away the gun. Without hesitation, he fired directly into its head.
Bang!
The gunshot thundered through the night.
The sound was like a signal. Almost at the same moment, bullets poured into the room like a violent downpour, while the shattering of glass, doors, and windows rang out all around them.
Qin Zhen had never seen anything like it. She was especially stunned when she realized that the person whose neck Fu Qi had snapped had blond hair and blue eyes—clearly someone from Country A. In the end, Fu Qi had to yank her to her feet and drag her into a corner.
“Go to the laboratory,” Fu Qi said quietly. “Ye Hui will take you to find Academician Jiang. You two leave first. I’ll catch up within two days at most.”
Qin Zhen was completely dumbfounded. What did this have to do with Ye Hui?!
“I’ll explain later. Go, now.”
The walls of the little house trembled and shed dust under the barrage of gunfire. Fu Qi put an arm around Qin Zhen to shield her, then reached out in the darkness and touched her hair.
“Didn’t we agree earlier, Comrade Little Zombie? You have to obey the organization’s orders.”
“You—you—you…” Qin Zhen stammered several times, but in the end, all her questions became a single word.
“Okay.”
There was a small window right beside them. Its glass had already shattered, and through it they could see several vehicles approaching in the distance. Beneath the window, on the lawn, was a motorcycle—the one Ye Hui had given Qin Zhen two days earlier.
Qin Zhen suddenly realized that tonight’s events might have been anticipated by both Fu Qi and Ye Hui long ago.
“You just wait!” she snarled at Fu Qi before turning to climb through the window.
Since she couldn’t be injured, the zombie couldn’t even be bothered to climb. She simply tipped her headfirst through the opening and dropped into the flower bed with a thud.
Amid the crackle of gunfire, Qin Zhen vaguely heard Fu Qi laugh. She committed the sound to memory with great resentment, then climbed onto the motorcycle and sped toward the laboratory.
By the time the banquet was over, it was already the dead of night. The sudden gunshots had thrown the once-quiet streets into chaos. Some people, thinking a zombie crisis had broken out, loaded up on supplies and prepared to drive away. Patrol teams, having heard the commotion, rushed over in their vehicles. With everything in such disarray, Qin Zhen was all the less conspicuous.
She sped all the way to the laboratory, where Ye Hui was already waiting downstairs, reeking of smoke. Beside her stood a white-haired elderly woman.
There was no doubt about it—this had to be Academician Jiang Feng.
“Diversion! A feint to the east!” Qin Zhen shouted at Ye Hui before her motorcycle had even come to a complete stop.
“Exactly.” Ye Hui grabbed her and pulled her off, then swung her long legs over the motorcycle. She gestured for the two of them to climb on behind her.
Once they were seated, Ye Hui twisted the throttle. The wild motorcycle carried the three of them speeding through the night, heading in the opposite direction from the base’s main entrance.
“There’s a secret exit to the southeast. Leave through there!” Ye Hui shouted over the wind.
Qin Zhen nodded. Holding Academician Jiang by the shoulder, she leaned forward and asked, “Why did you—”
There was no need to finish the question. This had clearly been planned in advance.
The attackers in the night were from Country A, and they had been hunting Fu Qi for a long time. Ever since arriving at the Dayu Base, they had gone out openly every day, wandering around without making any effort to conceal their movements.
They had plenty of firepower but too few people. They didn’t dare force their way into the base, so if they wanted to find Fu Qi, their only option was to bribe someone at the Dayu Base and sneak in.
And Fu Qi had come to cause trouble in the first place. Since he had stubbornly refused to submit for so long, it was only natural for the Dayu Base to sell him out.
At a time like this, everyone would assume that Fu Qi was trapped and barely able to protect himself. He wouldn’t have made any extra preparations at the laboratory, making this the perfect opportunity to rescue Academician Jiang.
What Qin Zhen couldn’t understand was why Ye Hui would help outsiders like them.
Ye Hui knew what she wanted to ask without waiting for her to finish. Shouting over the wind, she said, “Go ask Fu Laoqi!”
She charged recklessly onward, taking Qin Zhen and Academician Jiang to a concealed side gate in the southeast. A guard was stationed there. He had just opened his mouth to question them when Ye Hui drew her gun and shot him dead.
“Take care of yourselves!” Ye Hui left the motorcycle and gun with Qin Zhen. Then she locked the small gate again and sped back toward the base, disappearing from sight in no time.
Listening to the chaos within the base, Qin Zhen secretly ground her teeth and swore that the next time she saw Fu Qi, she would knock his front teeth clean out.
