Transmigrated as the Prince’s Vain and Materialistic Ex-Girlfriend

Chapter 7

Bo Jinghuai stared at her for a few seconds.

Then he took a step forward, slotting himself between her legs, his hands braced on the countertop on either side of her.

The bathroom vanity wasn't high, and even standing like this, he still towered over her.

"Su Jingsheng." He spoke, his voice dropping lower.

"Do you think, by acting like this, you can wrap me around your little finger?"

Su Jingsheng felt a pang of guilt.

"I don't," she said softly, her fingers lightly resting on his chest.

"I'm just... really not feeling well."

She leaned in closer, her nose almost touching his chin.

"Smell," her voice was soft and sweet.

"My pheromones... do you like them?"

Bo Jinghuai's Adam's apple bobbed. He could smell it.

That sweet fragrance, spilling from the nape of her neck, from her collar, from her breath, wrapping around him in delicate threads.

It wrapped around the agitation that had been simmering in him all morning, slowly calming it down.

But what followed was another kind of desire.

He stared at her face, so close, at her glistening lips.

Then he lowered his head and kissed her.

Su Jingsheng let out a muffled sound, her hands pushing against his shoulders, but she didn't push him away.

Bo Jinghuai kissed her deeply.

One hand cradled the back of her head, the other gripped her waist, pulling her firmly against him.

Su Jingsheng's body went soft, she hung onto him, letting him kiss her.

Bo Jinghuai tasted an even richer sweetness.

The sweetness that spilled from the tip of her tongue, from deep in her throat, mingled with the scent on her body, addicting him.

He kissed her for a long time, only pulling back a little when Su Jingsheng, breathless, gently pushed at him.

Both their breaths were ragged.

Su Jingsheng's lips were swollen and slightly parted as she gasped, her eyes misty and dazed as she looked at him.

Bo Jinghuai's thumb brushed across the corner of her mouth.

"It does smell good," he finally spoke, his voice terribly hoarse. "But don't get too cocky."

Su Jingsheng smiled, the corners of her lips curving up.

"Can I stay then?" she asked, her fingers lightly hooking onto his collar.

"Being closer to you makes me feel much better."

Bo Jinghuai stared into her eyes for a few seconds, then his gaze fell to her lips.

"Stay if you want."

He let go of her, straightened up, and turned to walk out.

The door closed.

Su Jingsheng sat on the bathroom vanity, touched her lips, and a slow smile spread across her face.

Got him wrapped around my finger again.

...

Bo Jinghuai stood in front of the mirror in the walk-in closet, fastening his shirt cuffs with deliberate slowness.

The man in the mirror had broad shoulders and long legs, his features noble, tall and composed.

But his mind was a mess, filled entirely with Su Jingsheng.

The way she sat on his bathroom vanity swinging her legs, the way she wrapped her arms around his neck and kissed him, the way she said softly, "Jinghuai, I don't feel well."

Bo Jinghuai's brow furrowed bit by bit.

Something was wrong.

He was acting very wrong.

He knew exactly what kind of person Su Jingsheng was.

That arrogant, domineering young lady from three years ago who led the charge in locking him in the bathroom and splashing water on him, who only condescended to make him her boyfriend because he was good-looking and ranked first in their grade.

He knew perfectly well that the reason she showed up now was because the Su family had gone bankrupt, she was desperate, and she'd discovered that her poor ex-boyfriend was now wealthy and influential, so she'd latched onto him again.

He should be disgusted. He should have thrown her out. He should have made her get lost, far away.

But not only had he not thrown her out, he'd brought her home.

And he'd kissed her.

Kissed her once, and wanted to kiss her a second time.

Bo Jinghuai raised a hand and pressed his fingers to the space between his eyebrows.

He felt like a cat who'd stumbled upon catnip. Knowing full well the stuff was no good for him, yet unable to stop himself from wanting to go closer, rub against it, smell it, lick it.

He must be going crazy.

"Jinghuai?"

A soft, gentle voice came from outside the door.

Bo Jinghuai turned.

Su Jingsheng was clinging to the doorframe, peeking half her body in.

She had changed into a light pink knit dress. The dress was a bit loose, making her figure seem even more slender.

Her face was clean and fresh, her eyes moist as she looked at him.

"Are you going out?" she asked quietly.

Bo Jinghuai grunted an affirmation, his gaze sweeping over her bare feet on the carpet.

"Go put on shoes," he said.

Su Jingsheng looked down at her feet, her toes curling slightly.

"The carpet is soft, it's not cold," she said, but obediently turned around anyway, put on her slippers, and walked back.

Bo Jinghuai watched her slowly shuffling over, and that bit of irritation in his heart surfaced again.

"Stay by yourself today," he said, his voice a bit hard. "Don't run around."

Su Jingsheng looked up at him. "Where are you going?"

"Meeting friends." Bo Jinghuai paused, then added, "I'll be back tonight."

He himself was momentarily stunned after saying it.

Why was he telling her this?

Whether he came back or not, why did he need to report to her?

But Su Jingsheng smiled, the corners of her lips curving up, her eyes bright.

"Okay, I'll wait for you then."

Bo Jinghuai closed his eyes for a moment, pulled open the door, and walked out.

He needed to go ask those three guys.

Was he sick?

Or had this woman put some kind of spell on him.

...

It was the same club, the same private room.

Yan Sichen, Lu Mohan, and Pei Zixian were all there.

When Bo Jinghuai pushed the door open, Yan Sichen was feeding wine to an Omega girl he had his arm around, and Lu Mohan was kissing an Omega girl he was holding.

"Well, well, Young Master Bo is here." Yan Sichen looked up, a teasing smile on his face. "Didn't bring the one from home?"

Bo Jinghuai ignored him, walking over to sit in the main seat on the sofa.

Lu Mohan let go of the person in his arms and looked at him. "You look terrible, didn't sleep well last night?"

Pei Zixian pushed his glasses up and slid a fruit platter over. "Troubled by your ex-girlfriend again?"

Bo Jinghuai picked up a fork, speared a piece of apple, didn't eat it, just twirled it in his hand.

"I need to ask you guys something," he began.
