“Chairwoman Chu!!! Our guess was right! I’ll organize a team immediately and head for Thorn City!”
“Come on!”
Chu Fu was excited too.
You puny Titans, prepare to die!
……
In the higher-dimensional plane.
The Titan God had been alarmed as well. After all, the deity had invested divine power into this plane and even dragged the plane under its control closer to this planet.
With a battle about to break out, the Titan God naturally had to appear.
But the deity’s expression was extremely ugly.
In truth, the Titan God had no desire to launch a siege at all, because it had already foreseen that it might lose a plane in the process.
This was a gamble, and humanity currently held the advantage.
They had lost.
‘Once we’re defeated, should I just leave immediately? The Insect Mother, the Dragon, and the Three Deep-Sea Gods may not be able to take them down. If these humans are allowed to grow, they might really be able to slaughter gods!’
The Titan God was already considering it.
As a Titan, the deity was enormous, but it was by no means stupid. Otherwise, how could it have evolved into a god?
But… there were only sixty days left until the day when divine descent would become possible.
Should it really leave?
What if they managed to turn the tables in the end?
The Titan God hesitated.
……
In the game.
Thorn City was packed with people.
“Everyone, move outside! Hurry up and make room for the people inside!”
“Move it! Get to the front of the rift ahead of time and wait there. This time, the rift is only ten kilometers away, so we won’t have far to walk.”
“Surround the rift, but don’t enter early! Go in during the ninth wave!”
Players from the Thorn Guild shouted themselves hoarse.
Ever since the cities around the world had gained the ability to teleport to one another, Thorn Town had already been overflowing with people.
It had the strongest guild and an excellent atmosphere. High-level players even brought low-level players along, so countless newcomers saved up their money just to teleport to Thorn City.
There were millions of players lining up every day, hoping to squeeze their way into Thorn City through the teleportation array.
This time, with Thorn City facing a siege, even more people had gathered.
Chu Fu had no choice but to restrict the teleportation array, setting it to close whenever the inner city reached three million people.
For this battle, Chu Fu simply shut down Thorn City’s teleportation array and continued using the Forest Spirit passages to send reinforcements from China.
Players from overseas were not needed.
Besides, most of the people coming through were actually official players. However, ordinary players had also memorized the locations of the open Forest Spirit passages and slipped in among them.
Following Thorn City as it conquered the world was simply too rewarding.
No one wanted to give that up.
But ordinary players had neither organization nor discipline, and were far more disorderly. This also led to the congestion in Thorn City.
Still, such a bustling scene was better than having no one there at all.
An hour passed quickly.
[System Notification: Titan giants are attacking! Thorn Town, prepare yourselves! The Contribution Ranking is now open. Current number of defenders: 92.83 million!]
At this moment, a vast sea of people secretly surrounded the area ten kilometers outside Thorn City.
A Titan squeezed out of the rift. It had not even steadied itself before being submerged by countless attacks and instantly killed.
Boom!
The Titan giant crashed to the ground, creating a huge crater. Several players were crushed to death beneath it.
One Titan after another emerged from the rift.
The first wave consisted of 250 Titans.
In other words, each of the four city walls would face 1,000 Titans in total.
In the previous two timelines, every Titan had been capable of dealing devastating damage to a city.
Now, none of them could even stand properly.
“Hey, people in front, move aside! I want to attack too!”
“Launch lots of flying projectiles! It’s easier to deal damage from up in the air!”
“What can this handful of Titans even do?”
[System Notification: The first wave of attacks has ended. In one hour, the Titan God will organize the second wave of attacks!]
“What? Can’t we enter immediately?”
“Hurry up! We’ve been waiting forever!”
“I wish we could charge in right now and see what the Titans inside look like!”
“These Titans are over twenty meters tall. Aren’t the ones inside going to be a hundred meters tall each?”
“We’ve fought hundred-meter-tall monsters before. Werewolf Tuge and Sequence Zero were both a hundred meters tall, and it didn’t matter. They’re just big, stupid brutes.”
Arrogant!
They were far too arrogant!
After going back in time, these humans had completely forgotten the despair that the evil gods and their races had brought them in the previous two timelines.
After all, humanity had no divine support, but it could rewind time infinitely—unless it became trapped in a dead-end timeline.
The evil gods, however, would be doomed to complete failure after losing even once.
And that was precisely the situation now.
Even the Titan giants could not stop them.
Nine hours later.
At Chu Fu’s command, countless players surged into the rifts.
All four rifts, located to the southeast, southwest, northeast, and northwest, were packed full.
Then they entered the Titans’ territory.
Titan Star.
The plants here were enormous, blotting out the sky and covering the earth. Every Titan was indeed a hundred meters tall.
What surprised everyone was that the number of Titans here was exactly the same as the number that had attacked the city in each wave.
There were 250 Origin-level Titans.
The crowd soon realized what was happening.
There were only twenty-five Origin-level Titans of each rank. Because of the nature of their abilities, when invading other planets, they used a “splitting” method rather than duplication.
Thus, a single Titan could split into ten Titans to attack Thorn City.
With twenty-five Titans of each rank, that made 250 Titans in total.
It was their first time encountering a situation where the number of Titans matched the number used in the siege. Although it was somewhat unexpected, the outcome remained unchanged.
Chu Fu immediately attacked, unleashing the Plague Calamity.
Against creatures with flesh and blood, the Plague Calamity was far more effective than the Black Death Calamity or the Soul-Annihilation Calamity.
Very soon, the Origin-level Titans collapsed one after another.
They were only Origin-level, not divine envoys, so dealing with them was naturally easy.
Furthermore, the Titans at the entrances of all four rifts were wiped out in mere dozens of seconds.
They had been killed far too quickly.
It was like a swarm of ants sweeping through the area, leaving not a single blade of grass behind.
Chu Fu and the others headed toward the center of the Titans’ territory. Before long, they encountered the leader of a Titan tribe.
Naturally, he was also a divine envoy.
“What a disappointment! A nameless divine envoy. I thought the Titan God would send one of its divine envoys to ambush us.”
Chu Fu sounded regretful, though there was also a hint of humblebragging in her tone.
“Are you sure it’s an ambush and not a delivery?”
Xie Lin grinned wickedly and severed the divine envoy’s head with a single stroke of his sword.
[System Announcement! Congratulations to the player “Who Are You Calling Blind?” for leading everyone to clear the Origin-level dungeon: Titan Tribe (Origin)! Reward: +100 to all attributes (first-clear reward), Level +1.]
They had conquered yet another dungeon.
Long Zhantian gave an order.
“We’ve obtained the coordinates. Establish a city here and activate the teleportation array!”
Now it was their turn to counter-invade the Titan giants’ planet.
At present, they had already secured counterattack locations in three planes: the Goblins, the Titan giants, and the Mechanical Star.
“Send out scouting teams and search the entire area for the Titan God’s divine envoy. Since it’s the Titan’s divine envoy, it must be enormous. There’s no way it can hide.”
