Xie Changyu was practically laughing from sheer exasperation. “Xie Tangning, are you sick in the head?”
“That old rascal is obviously keeping an eye on you, okay? What does that have to do with me? You’re slandering your own brother for no reason. I think you’re just asking to be smacked!”
Xie Tangning never let pressure get to her. She turned around at once and complained to Lu Huaiyu, “Big Brother, look at him! He’s threatening to hit me first thing in the morning!”
“You tell me—are you going to do something about this or not?”
Though that was what the girl said aloud, her face clearly declared: If you don’t take my side and deal with him, I’ll lie down on the floor and cry right now!

The two younger ones looked utterly incredulous, their expressions faintly cracking.
After hearing the reason behind this whole farce from the two brats, Director Zhang was speechless.
“What a spectacular drama: the younger siblings’ failed struggle for power, ending with the eldest son kicking them out of the family tree. There was no acting whatsoever—just pure emotion. We were completely enthralled!”
“And now I announce that the atmosphere-warming segment is over. Thank you to Mr. Lu Huaiyu, Xiao Xie, and Little-Little Xie for that wonderful performance!”
“After a full night’s rest, I’m sure everyone is in excellent condition and absolutely ready to handle today’s itinerary!”
After waving his little megaphone around and making a series of sarcastic remarks and outrageous declarations, Director Zhang immediately added, “Excellent! I can hear your enthusiastic agreement!”
The troublemaking guests, who had been about to protest but hadn’t managed to get a word in yet: “!!!”
Damn it! That old rascal had actually gotten smarter!

The final sentence was so obnoxious that it practically reached the heavens. It was obvious that successfully putting the guests through the wringer with physical challenges the day before had left him feeling rather pleased with himself.
He had made up his mind to do it all over again, making up for every humiliating defeat he had suffered in the earlier episodes and restoring the show to its former glory.
Xie Tangning watched the eager, scheming look in Director Zhang’s eyes. His little plan was practically written all over his face, and she couldn’t help rolling her eyes in secret.
Then she covered her mouth with one hand and leaned toward Xie Changyu to whisper. Xie Changyu immediately bent at the waist and lowered his ear to listen.
“Director Zhang is plotting something again. Second Brother, do you think he’ll manage to get you this time?”
Xie Changyu mimicked her, putting on an act of whispering into his sister’s ear. In a tiny voice, he said, “With my physical fitness, the odds of Director Zhang succeeding are zero.”
“But whether you, you little weakling, will be able to survive it is another question entirely!”
Hearing the teasing in her brother’s voice, Xie Tangning punched him without hesitation. “You’re the weakling! Do you think all that training under Instructor Mo and Instructor Yan was for nothing?”
“You’d better worry about yourself first. You haven’t trained in years. All you do at home is sleep and eat. At this point, you’re basically no different from a pig!”
Unable to stand it any longer, Xie Changyu flicked the girl on the forehead. “Insult me in public again and I’ll give you a whole set of practice workbooks. Got it?!”
Xie Tangning let out a tiny yelp, covered her head, and glared viciously at him before falling silent.
It wasn’t that she was scared.
She was simply a firm believer in respecting the elderly and protecting the young. Respecting her older brother was a traditional virtue carved into her bones!
Watching the girl concede defeat, Xie Changyu raised the corners of his lips smugly.
