“Tens of millions?!”
Zhou Suisui was so furious she nearly jumped out of her skin.
One hand was planted fiercely on her hip, while the other—its slender, snow-white index finger—jabbed repeatedly at Zhou Sui'an’s head in exasperation.
“Are you out of your mind? You just gave away tens of millions without a second thought! What kind of love potion did she give you?”
The normally decisive, six-foot-plus president of the company had no presence whatsoever in front of his younger sister.
He hunched his shoulders, covering his head with both hands as he let her poke him over and over again.
He looked like a huge golden retriever being scolded by its owner, pleading pitifully for mercy.
“Your brother was wrong. Suisui, stop poking me. You’ll make me stupid.”
“You were already stupid!”
Zhou Suisui withdrew her hand and planted both hands on her hips, glaring at him with an adorably fierce expression.
“Go get the house, the car, and every penny of those investments back. Now. Not a single cent less!”
“Uh…” Zhou Sui'an hesitated.
Su Wan was undeniably awful, but he was a grown man. Taking back things he had given away felt so shameless. He couldn’t bring himself to do it.
“And there’s more!”
Zhou Suisui pointed fiercely at his nose and delivered her final ultimatum.
“That river-view apartment in the city center is not to be sold! Call the realtor right now and cancel the deal!”
At that, she paused and muttered, “If Brother Yan hadn’t stopped you, the apartment might already have been sold by now. You would’ve lost hundreds of millions for nothing!”
Jiang Zongyan?
Zhou Sui'an instantly felt indignant.
What did this have to do with him?
That guy was becoming more and more annoying. Why did he have to stick his nose into everything?
Helping him stop the sale?
If he was so capable, why didn’t he just buy the apartment at the original price?
That guy obviously just wanted to pretend to be a good person in front of Suisui!
How infuriating!
And somehow, he had actually managed to pull it off again!
He ranted furiously in his head, but not a trace of it showed on his face.
Instead, he nodded obediently.
“Got it. Your brother will call right now.”
He secretly glanced at his sister’s puffed-up cheeks and began calculating in silence.
No, this couldn’t go on.
He had a vague feeling that his image in Suisui’s eyes had been steadily declining, while Jiang Zongyan’s had been steadily rising.
Who knew? One day, Jiang Zongyan might even surpass him in his own sister’s heart!
“Don’t be angry, Suisui. I’ll take care of it right now!”
Zhou Sui'an immediately pulled out his phone and called Assistant Wen.
“Assistant Wen, put aside whatever you’re working on and handle two things for me immediately.”
“Go ahead, President.”
“First, take back the motorhome I bought for Su Wan, as well as the apartment she’s currently living in. Second, notify the realtor that the river-view apartment in the city center is no longer for sale. Also, withdraw all the tens of millions we invested in her new drama.”
Zhou Suisui pricked up her ears beside him and added coldly, “Not a single cent less!”
“Right, right, not a single cent less,” Zhou Sui'an hurriedly echoed into the phone like a parrot.
There was a full three-second pause on the other end.
Then Assistant Wen asked uncertainly, “President, are you sure you mean taking back everything you gave Su Wan—including the motorhome, the apartment, and the investment, connections, and funds?”
He secretly glanced at the sun outside the window.
Yep, it was still rising in the east.
He touched his forehead.
No fever, either.
Zhou Sui'an knew very well how ridiculous he had been before. He raised his long, well-defined fingers and rubbed his temples.
“Yes. Everything.”
Once he received confirmation, Assistant Wen let out an excited shriek.
“Understood, President! I guarantee it’ll be done!”
After hanging up, Assistant Wen jumped straight out of his chair, took off his jacket, and started dancing on the spot.
Heaven had finally opened its eyes.
Their president’s lovesick brain had finally been cured.
The Zhou Corporation was saved.
Their salaries and benefits were safe at last!
Meanwhile, Zhou Suisui still hadn’t finished settling old scores.
She folded her arms and raised an eyebrow at Zhou Sui'an.
“Answer me this. Whose name is on the title deed for the apartment and the registration for the motorhome? Is it Su Wan’s?”
Zhou Sui'an scratched his head and answered guiltily, “N-not yet. I was planning to transfer them into her name this month.”
“Hm?”
Zhou Suisui paused. “Why haven’t you transferred them yet?”
“She didn’t want them,” Zhou Sui'an said quietly.
How had he not seen through such an obvious act before?
Su Wan was always pretending to be an innocent, kind-hearted girl in front of him. She would say that she liked him for who he was—for his character—not for his money.
He had been so touched that she didn’t want to spend his money. So he had chased after her and insisted on giving her things several times. Only after much reluctance had she finally agreed to accept the motorhome and apartment.
As for the tens of millions in investment, she had cried to him that the director wanted to take advantage of her sexually and that she had no way to refuse.
In a fit of rage, he had thrown money at the production and forced her into the lead role.
After hearing this, Zhou Suisui was both furious and relieved.
She really had to hand it to Su Wan. She had pretended to be above material things right up until the end, only to trip herself up.
If the properties had actually been transferred into her name, getting them back would have taken a great deal of effort.
As it happened, the title was still under her brother’s name. They could simply take everything back.
“Looks like even the heavens couldn’t stand it anymore.”
Zhou Suisui snorted coldly and held out her hand again.
“Give me copies of every chat you’ve had with Su Wan on your phone.”
Zhou Sui'an’s face instantly turned red.
“Th-this… This isn’t necessary, is it?”
The moment he thought of all the nauseatingly sweet things he had said back when he was acting like her devoted lapdog, his toes curled in embarrassment.
He hid his phone behind his back and stammered, “There’s no need for that… They’re all meaningless.”
“Fine. You don’t have to give them to me.”
Zhou Suisui narrowed her eyes dangerously.
Then she deliberately pulled out her own phone.
“Since you’re refusing to cooperate, I’ll just ask your good friend for help. The internet is full of posts that are damaging to our family and the Zhou Corporation. Brother Yan can definitely help me.”
“Wait, don’t!”
The moment Zhou Sui'an heard that, he immediately caved.
He didn’t dare delay for even a second. He quickly pulled out his phone and shoved it into Zhou Suisui’s hands.
“I’ll give them to you! Isn’t that enough?”
He wore a miserable expression. The thought of being mocked by his sister made him want to die on the spot.
After a pause, he added solemnly, “But Suisui, I need to correct you again. He and I are absolutely not good friends. We’re mortal enemies! Mortal enemies, understand?”
Zhou Suisui let out a dismissive hum through her nose and ignored him as she took the phone and began operating it.
She opened the chat history with Su Wan and copied everything to her own phone.
Working quickly, she continued issuing instructions without even looking up.
“And… send me the receipts for the apartment and the motorhome, along with all the bank transfer records.”
At this point, Zhou Sui'an didn’t dare raise even the slightest objection.
He obediently did as he was told.
After saving everything, Zhou Suisui looked up at him, her tone leaving no room for argument.
“I’ll handle this with Assistant Wen, so stay out of it. As for every penny Su Wan took from you, I’ll make sure she pays it all back—with interest.”
