[WARNING!!!
The Origin-tier Instance is the source of everything. All monsters within possess Origin-tier combat power; each one is no weaker than ten Abyss-tier goblins.
However, killing a single Origin-tier monster is equivalent to permanently eliminating ten thousand goblins.
If you die after entering this Instance, you will be unable to create a new account for 100 days.
This Instance may be entered in legion formation!
Countdown to entry: 8 minutes 13 seconds.]
Chu Fu froze for a moment, then recalled the plot of the book.
She remembered that the final Instance entered by the character representing her brother, Chu Feng, seemed to be called [Servants of God (Origin)].
After Chu Feng entered, he immediately fought a demon-like monster. The battle was unimaginably fierce, shaking heaven and earth—and then the book never updated again.
She had never expected an Instance of this kind to appear at level 20.
Although the system had only described the danger, Chu Fu felt that tremendous opportunities lay within as well.
There were only 8 minutes and 13 seconds left to enter.
But Chu Fu realized that this entry window coincided with the players’ rest period.
She immediately called out in the Thorn Guild, “All players, get ready. I’ve discovered a new Instance. Stay sharp and prepare yourselves for the most difficult challenge yet. Holy Healing Angel, Commander Feng, and all other support players—once we enter, immediately activate every buff you have. MTs, get ready!”
Everyone braced themselves.
The Thorn Guild currently had ten thousand members.
Over the past three days, after Chu Fu had fully settled into Linjiang City, guild members who had not been taken into Instances had begun taking on quests in large numbers.
Once they had accumulated enough reputation, Jiaojiao Bu Jiao had used guild funds to purchase a guild territory near Linjiang City.
The guild had been upgraded to Level 3.
It could now accommodate twenty thousand people, and they had recruited another five thousand A-rank talent players in Fengdu Town.
This Instance could actually hold ten thousand people—no less than a town-defense battle.
Yet Chu Fu had the distinct feeling...
That this was the true counteroffensive.
If even her brother had failed to explore this place, then it was likely to hold the greatest secret of [Gate of Origins].
Chu Fu wanted to be the first to taste the crab.
Otherwise, if she only looked at things from the perspective of the plot, she might not even be able to do as well as her brother. She needed to surpass Chu Feng in order to protect him!
With that thought, Chu Fu became even more resolute.
Players throughout the guild began withdrawing from the front lines. Fortunately, there were simply too many players remaining in Fengdu Town. Removing three thousand people from each of the trenches outside the east, south, west, and north gates barely drew any notice.
Chu Fu’s eastern wall had only ever had a thousand people to begin with. Even including the players following Chu Fu, there were only ten thousand in total—the smallest force of all.
The players following Chu Fu were all strong in their own right, confident that they could snatch monsters even under Chu Fu’s attacks.
Now that they saw this Instance, their blood boiled with excitement.
“Plant Master, are we doing this? Looks like everyone can enter!”
“If the boss goes in, I’m going in. If the boss doesn’t fight, neither will I!”
“Just admit you want to trail behind the boss and drink the soup. Don’t act like you’ve got principles.”
“We’re going in!”
Chu Fu shouted, “But you’ve seen the danger. Our guild currently only has three healers with Resurrection, and in an Instance like this, they may not be able to cover everyone. If you die, you won’t be able to log into the game for three months. You need to decide for yourselves whether you’re willing to take that risk!”
The pressure on Chu Fu was immense as well.
But she truly wanted to see what was inside.
Because she had a terrifying suspicion.
What if that book had not simply been discontinued? What if her brother, Chu Feng, had...
She did not dare to think any further.
But that only made her want to explore this Instance even more—to find out what exactly was here.
Everyone got ready!
When the Instance countdown reached one minute, Chu Fu confirmed entry.
The next moment, ten thousand Thorn Guild players entered the Instance.
“Plantman went in! Hurry, get in!”
The ten thousand independent players following Chu Fu also rushed into the Instance.
Chu Fu felt the world spin around her, accompanied by a bizarre sensation.
She had entered this world standing upright, yet in the next instant, it felt as if her feet had landed on the wall of a skyscraper.
Gravity shifted, and the building’s wall became the ground beneath her feet.
She was walking upward sideways.
The disorienting sensation of warped gravity and space faded as her vision returned.
She was inside an enormous space, roughly a kilometer across. Everything around her was gray and dim. Beneath her feet was wet earth streaked with slime, giving off a foul stench like goblin saliva.
She understood at once. This was likely a place the goblin army had passed through.
Above them stretched twisted bands and lights that, upon closer inspection, resembled an abstract starry sky.
This area was somewhat like the dimensional rift described in the story.
A dimensional rift passage connecting two worlds allowed the goblin army to pass through and attack Fengdu Town.
Combined with the system announcement—the Goblin God had launched a cleansing operation—this place was most likely the essential route of the goblin invasion.
Everything now made sense.
Then, beyond the hundred meters ahead of them, would they be facing the place where the true Goblin God resided?
There was no time to hesitate!
They only had one minute.
After that minute, at least 2.5 million goblins would likely pass through the passage.
“Tankers to the front! Healers and support to the rear! Move out!”
At Chu Fu’s command, the army began to advance.
[Charge Horn!]
Feng Huimin immediately sounded the horn, granting buffs to a full twenty thousand people!
[Formation Defense]
A translucent shield effect appeared over everyone’s bodies, greatly increasing their defense. Not only that, the once-scattered formation began to align itself with uncanny precision, as though an invisible hand were correcting each player’s position.
A level 20 player’s physical ability surpassed that of any track sprinter on Earth. Even though they slowed their pace, the group crossed the hundred-meter dimensional-rift passage in only twenty seconds.
As they emerged from the rift, they saw the scene outside.
It was a primeval forest. More than two thousand incomparably powerful goblins, each over two meters tall, stood in formation one hundred meters beyond the rift. Every one of them surrounded an enormous crystal.
The crystal stood five meters high and three meters in diameter. Muscular goblins appeared around it, connected to it by beams of light. Then, vast numbers of scaled-down goblins were copied into existence.
These were precisely the third wave of monsters that would appear thirty li outside Fengdu Town and prepare to attack the town.
Those goblins were actually using copies to launch their assault.
At that moment, Chu Fu had a strange feeling.
It was as if there were also a player on the other side of the screen, operating the crystal as an item and copying the goblin army to attack the human town on their side.
Like playing an RTS game.
The human players and these goblins were all merely pieces on the board.
