Qi Xu received the "Single Scallion" snack again from Little Master Chef. He immediately opened a pack and was greeted by the pungent aroma of scallions. After tasting it, he found the flavor decent—a satisfying little treat for casual cravings.
He distributed 100 packs in his small group and 500 packs in the larger group. Each pack only weighed 30 grams, so the 10,000 packs he had felt like they’d last him an eternity.
The small group was used to sharing food and daily necessities, so the gesture wasn’t unusual. But the larger group rarely received anything from Qi Xu, so this sudden giveaway caused quite a stir.
Blessed by Luck: "Ahhhh! I got some! Hahaha, I actually got some! Today’s my lucky day—got carried through a dungeon by Old White Dragon in the Waves, and now I snagged a giveaway!"
Breaking Cocoon into Butterfly: "Are you dumb? Boss Whirlwind sent out 500 packs, and there are only 40 people in the group. You only got three packs—why are you celebrating? Look around, is there anyone who got fewer than you?"
Blessed by Luck: "Huh??!!"
Swim & Fitness Coach Chen: "This snack is from my hometown. I used to eat it all the time as a kid—this is exactly the same flavor..."
Breaking Cocoon into Butterfly: "Thanks, Boss Whirlwind!"
As messages flooded in, Qi Xu suddenly understood why so many faction leaders in the previous round of the game constantly spammed giveaways in the main chat.
Was it really worth spending real resources just for a few words of gratitude and flattery?
Back then, he thought they were fools. But now he realized it was a way to showcase their strength, promote their factions, and quickly win people over.
Perspective really changed everything.
So, just as he was about to exit the group chat, he sent another message:
Invincible Black Whirlwind: "Just happened to get these, and I can’t finish them all alone. Sharing with everyone! I’m about to drop another batch in the main chat—those who want some should head over there."
With just that one line, those who saw it immediately felt like they were part of Invincible Black Whirlwind’s inner circle. Excited, they rushed to the main chat to wait.
Before sending the giveaway, Qi Xu checked the total population of Zone 666.
7,336 people. He didn’t know the exact number from the morning, but it definitely wasn’t in the 7,000s.
Seems like… many teams didn’t make it.
Qi Xu dropped 1,000 packs, setting a limit of one per person.
His "Prestige Points" increased slightly, but compared to previous gains, the boost was much smaller. He had thought reaching 50,000 Prestige Points would be quick, but now it felt… hopelessly far away.
He needed to find a way to farm more Prestige Points.
By nightfall, the rankings for the "Frozen Fantasy" dungeon were finally announced.
The zone’s population had dropped even further since the afternoon.
[Hey, dear players! Just one dungeon, and Zone 666 lost 825 people. You guys are brutal!]
Most players who participated in the dungeon couldn’t help but twitch at this remark. Who was responsible for this mess? The system itself, constantly egging them on!
Some players might not have gone to such extremes, but the broadcast kept pushing them, deliberately fanning conflicts until even minor disagreements escalated into full-blown battles—where only one survivor per team could leave the dungeon.
And now it had the nerve to act innocent…
Qi Xu didn’t remember much about the previous round of the game, but he was certain that while the system had stirred the pot back then, it wasn’t this blatant.
What had changed to make the broadcasts so much more manipulative?
[Next, we’ll distribute the dungeon rewards! The top 100 teams will receive prizes—higher ranks get better loot! Attached below is a list of items exchangeable with Frostbloom Crystals. The exchange period ends at midnight!]
1st Place: Team 1888 – Members: Invincible Black Whirlwind, Watch Me Cut You Down
2nd Place: Team 2849 – Members: Old White Dragon in the Waves, Blessed by Luck
3rd Place: Team 53 – Members: Golden Bell Armor Iron Shirt, Player 1112
...
100th Place: Team 2553 – Members: Warwolf 009, Brother Quan is a Bit Cool
Qi Xu had been looking for Warwolf 009. With his high combat stats, clearing this dungeon should’ve been a breeze. Qi Xu had expected to compete with him for first place, but he only found him at the very bottom of the list.
Even with a weak teammate, this was too much of a drop.
Qi Xu was suddenly very curious about what Warwolf 009 had encountered in the dungeon.
He claimed his first-place rewards first: "100 Vehicle Upgrade Fragments, 1 Weapon Enhancement Card, 10 Energy Stones, 1 Neck Pillow (Fatigue Relief)."
Not a lot, but all useful.
The real highlight was the Frostbloom Crystal exchange list—though in reality, there was only one type of item available.
- Tri-Stat Boost Pill (Basic): +2 to all stats (5 Frostbloom Crystals)
- Tri-Stat Boost Pill (Intermediate): +4 to all stats (10 Frostbloom Crystals)
- Tri-Stat Boost Pill (Advanced): +6 to all stats (15 Frostbloom Crystals)
Each item had a purchase limit of one.
Qi Xu currently had 26 Frostbloom Crystals. He bought one Intermediate and one Advanced pill, then posted in the main chat:
Invincible Black Whirlwind: "Buying Frostbloom Crystals or Tri-Stat Boost Pills at high prices! Will trade for Workbenches, Water Condensers, or any other supplies!"
Player 1004: "I can sell two Frostbloom Crystals. Can I get a Water Condenser in exchange?"
Invincible Black Whirlwind: "Deal. Trade initiated."
Just two more crystals, and he could exchange for the Basic Tri-Stat Boost Pill.
Player 0612: "What’s the price for a Workbench?"
Invincible Black Whirlwind: "One Intermediate Tri-Stat Boost Pill. I’ll provide the materials."
Player 0612: "Done. Sending trade request."
Most players weren’t willing to sell—these stat-boosting items were too valuable in the long run.
But Qi Xu wasn’t the only one buying. Others were offering high prices too, though none matched his deals. Combined with his influence, any player looking to sell naturally came to him first.
Those willing to trade usually had leftover Frostbloom Crystals—not enough to buy another pill, but too precious to waste.
Qi Xu acquired two more crystals and used his last purchase slot for the Basic Tri-Stat Boost Pill.
After that, he stopped buying Frostbloom Crystals and only sought the pills themselves.
"10 Vehicle Upgrade Fragments for a Basic Tri-Stat Boost Pill.
2 Water Condensers, 5 Vehicle Upgrade Fragments, or 1 Workbench for an Intermediate.
1 Workbench, 5 Vehicle Upgrade Fragments, and 1 Weapon Upgrade Card for an Advanced."
He posted this in both the main chat and the trading hub. Unfortunately, few were willing to trade. He only managed to get one Basic and one Intermediate pill.
I originally thought that was all I could get, but as it approached midnight, Qi Xu suddenly saw someone spamming over a dozen messages in the group chat, instantly snapping to attention.
