Qi Xu took a moment to catch her breath before speaking. "Hello, Wolf Warrior 006. I'm Invincible Black Whirlwind. Sorry if I went a bit too hard on you earlier."
Wolf Warrior 006 shook his head slightly but didn’t respond.
Qi Xu cut straight to the point. "When it’s time to pick teammates, I’m definitely choosing you. Do you have any recommendations for others?"
She didn’t bother asking if he was willing to join—since she’d won, the decision was hers.
Wolf Warrior 006 hesitated, then glanced at the pair of twins nearby.
Unlike him, the twins didn’t overthink it. They immediately nodded in unison, raising their hands eagerly.
Qi Xu had already planned to recruit them, so she nodded and asked, "What are your usernames?"
"Bucket for Rice."
"Fish for Slacking."
Qi Xu chuckled. "Those are creative. ‘Bucket for Rice’ and ‘Fish for Slacking’—sounds like the good life. No wonder you recognized each other right away."
"Yeah, we’ve used these names since we were kids. Lucky for us, we met during the second server merge! If it’s too hard to remember, just call me Rice Bucket and my brother Lazy Fish."
"Got it. Rice Bucket and Lazy Fish—perfect match!"
Qi Xu gave them a thumbs-up, her warm and friendly demeanor a stark contrast to her ruthless fighter persona on the arena.
The twins’ eyes lit up, and they instinctively moved closer to the 666 Division’s group, their hearts already set on joining even before the official team assignments.
Wolf Warrior 006 was still processing the scene. He’d teamed up with the twins before.
They’d given him the same introduction back then—so how had he responded?
"Why degrade yourselves like that? Are these nicknames something to be proud of? Can’t you be more serious?"
The twins had immediately soured, and the team atmosphere turned awkward.
Now, seeing how Invincible Black Whirlwind handled it, Wolf Warrior 006 realized the difference between them.
Noticing his dazed expression, Qi Xu turned back to the twins. "So, who else in your division is strong?"
"‘Crazy If I Must’ and ‘Big Sis’s Aura’ are both solid—stats definitely over 100. They probably had combat experience before joining the game, so their skills are better than ours. But… they weren’t picked for the cross-division arena."
Qi Xu noted the names and pressed further. "Anyone else?"
Nearby, "Grass Is a Plant" couldn’t hold back anymore. He nervously raised his hand.
"Boss Whirlwind, what about me? Don’t let my earlier beating fool you—I’ve got skills! My stats might be low, but I’m enthusiastic, team-oriented, and respectful! Plus, I’ve got a special class—Psychiatrist. I can influence emotions through speech, perfect for boosting morale!"
Before Qi Xu could respond, "Crushed Ice Lamb" burst with excitement.
"Wait, you’re a psychiatrist?! I have mental issues! Can you help me? Do I need meds or therapy?"
Grass Is a Plant awkwardly clarified, "Uh, sorry—it’s just a game-assigned class with one specific skill. I can’t actually diagnose or treat…"
"Oh… okay…" Crushed Ice Lamb deflated, retreating with a sigh. The fear of another episode gnawed at her.
She turned to "Happy Big Sis" with a pitiful look. "Sis, can I store all my supplies with you?"
Happy Big Sis tilted her head in confusion. Girl, are you having another episode?
Meanwhile, "Blessed by Luck" and "Old White Dragon" kept the chatter going, and soon the whole group was laughing and mingling.
Qi Xu formally extended an invitation to Crushed Ice Lamb and Happy Big Sis. "Want to join my team? We share intel, prioritize trades, no backstabbing, no betrayal—everything’s decided together."
Crushed Ice Lamb hesitated, still wary.
Qi Xu laid it out plainly. "You don’t have a mental illness. A player in your division was mentally controlling you, causing irrational behavior. I killed him, so you’re fine now."
Crushed Ice Lamb exploded with joy. "Wait—so I won’t relapse?!"
"You were never sick!" Qi Xu emphasized.
Crushed Ice Lamb leaped in excitement. "YES! I’M FREE! NO MORE CRAZY EPISODES!"
"You. Were. Never. Sick," Happy Big Sis deadpanned.
"HAHAHA!! THANK YOU, BOSS WHIRLWIND! I’M CURED! I’M IN! I NEED YOU, I WANT YOU!!!"
Qi Xu: …Maybe I spoke too soon.
She quickly shifted her attention to Happy Big Sis, who seemed pleased but far more composed compared to the now-hysterical lamb.
"I’d like to join too. Thank you."
"Great to have you both!" Qi Xu opened her arms for a hug.
Happy Big Sis accepted shyly, but Crushed Ice Lamb lunged in for a kiss. Qi Xu ducked behind Dongfang Yuan.
Zhu Fu doubled over laughing, pointing at Qi Xu. "So you’re all talk too! This is priceless!"
Crushed Ice Lamb wasn’t actually fixated on kissing Qi Xu—she just needed an outlet for her joy. Spotting an adorable girl nearby, she scooped her up and planted a loud kiss on her cheek.
The entire room erupted in laughter.
Even Qi Xu dropped her cool facade, laughing too hard to care about appearances.
If only I’d recorded this for Bian to see!
Nearby, "Cute Money Girl" stomped in outrage, but seeing Crushed Ice Lamb bouncing around like a wind-up toy, she couldn’t bring herself to yell. No point arguing with a lunatic.
The chaotic energy lightened the mood for everyone, winners and losers alike. Soon, they were all chatting, swapping stories about dungeons and game mechanics.
Since they weren’t from the same division, the competition felt distant, and the conversation flowed freely.
Between "Blessed by Luck" and "Old White Dragon in the Waves," they nearly uncovered everyone’s deepest secrets—down to their underwear choices.
