After laughing her fill, Jiang Youli composed herself and looked up, meeting the middle-aged man’s gloomy gaze head-on. She enunciated each word clearly, "That’s right, it’s true! I will destroy your family—I won’t stop until I do!"
Hearing these words from his own daughter, Jiang Yangxu’s veins bulged on his forehead.
Before, he had only heard about it from his wife, and the impact hadn’t been as strong. But now, hearing Jiang Youli say it to his face—the damage was immense!
Having lived half his life, how could he tolerate such a threat from an ignorant junior?
Especially when that junior was his own flesh and blood!
Sensing the chilling aura radiating from Jiang Yangxu, Nanny Wang grew fearful that something might happen to Miss Youli. She immediately picked up her phone and stepped aside to call Jiang Yehan, intending to inform him that Jiang Yangxu had come to cause trouble for Miss Youli and that he should hurry home to protect her.
But no one answered the call, leaving her frantic.
Jiang Yangxu raised a finger and pointed at her, sneering through gritted teeth, "Good, very good. You truly are my ‘good’ daughter!"
Jiang Youli corrected him again, "Uncle, let me repeat—I am not your daughter. I don’t have a heartless father like you."
Jiang Yangxu lowered his hand and clasped them behind his back, his face cold. "Yes! Not acknowledging you immediately was heartless of me. But look at yourself now—what are you doing? Playing the righteous avenger? Your mother and I already regret it and wanted to bring you back, to compensate you in the future. But did you give us the chance?"
Jiang Youli returned his sneer. "People like you, who could abandon their own daughter and let her suffer—what right do you have to ‘compensate’ me?"
Seeing that she remained unmoved no matter what he said, Jiang Yangxu gave up on reasoning. He simply glared at her and asked, "I’ll ask you one last time—do you really refuse to forgive us?"
Jiang Youli’s gaze was icy. "And I’ll say it one last time—never. Not in this lifetime."
Jiang Yangxu snorted. "Fine. If that’s how it is, don’t blame me for disregarding familial bonds. Today, you injured your aunt with silver needles—you must answer for that!"
With that, he ordered the bodyguards behind him, "Seize her!"
Hearing this, Nanny Wang stamped her foot in panic. "Second Master Jiang, what are you doing? Whatever the matter, it should wait until the master and madam return! How can you take Miss Youli away on your own authority?"
Jiang Yangxu ignored her. "A mere nanny has no right to speak here! If you dare another word, I’ll have someone slap your mouth!"
Though frightened, Nanny Wang rushed forward. "Second Master Jiang, you cannot take Miss Youli away—"
"Annoying wretch! Just a servant, yet acting like part of the Jiang family!" Seeing her approach, Jiang Yangxu immediately signaled one of the bodyguards to block her—then delivered a vicious kick.
Nanny Wang was no longer young. How could she withstand a trained bodyguard’s strike? She crumpled to the ground, too pained to make a sound.
"Nanny Wang!" Jiang Youli hadn’t expected that even a nanny would care so much for her safety.
She was even more shocked that Jiang Yangxu would mercilessly attack a servant!
Jiang Youli rushed to Nanny Wang’s side, helping her up before swiftly checking her pulse. Confirming she wasn’t seriously hurt, she exhaled in relief and drew two silver needles from her sleeve, inserting them into specific acupoints to stabilize Nanny Wang’s condition.
"Miss Youli, I couldn’t reach Master Jiang’s phone—"
"Don’t speak, Nanny Wang. Don’t worry—they can’t hurt me. And since you’re part of our household, he will answer for harming you." With that, Jiang Youli supported Nanny Wang as they slowly approached Jiang Yangxu.
The bodyguards moved to stop her, but suddenly, their bodies convulsed, foam bubbling from their mouths.
Qin Yulian pointed at the twitching men, her eyes wide. "Yangxu, this is exactly what the wretched girl did to me this morning!"
Jiang Yangxu noticed it too—Jiang Youli had flicked several silver needles from her hand.
Jiang Youli cast a cold glance at Qin Yulian. "Since you already know I’m not to be trifled with, how dare you come to my home to stir trouble and hurt Nanny Wang? It seems you truly have a death wish. Fine—I’ll grant it to both of you!"
Jiang Yangxu’s expression darkened. It was clear his own daughter was about to turn her needles on him!
Suddenly—
"Enough! You’re family, yet you’re turning the house into a battlefield, ready to kill each other?!" Old Master Jiang’s stern voice rang out from nearby.
Jiang Youli’s grip on the needles paused as she looked up.
Hearing the old master’s voice, Qin Yulian sighed in relief before turning to him tearfully. "Father, you’ve come! You must uphold justice for me today—I swear I didn’t falsely accuse Youli!"
Supported by the butler, Old Master Jiang slowly walked over, his gaze sweeping over his second son Jiang Yangxu, his granddaughter Jiang Youli, and the injured Nanny Wang. His brows furrowed heavily as he demanded,
"What is going on here? How could things escalate to this point in our own home?"
Qin Yulian stepped forward, holding a silver needle wrapped in a handkerchief. Sobbing, she lamented, "Father, I thought—no matter what, Youli is my and Yangxu’s daughter. This feud can’t go on. So this morning, I brought Zhao’er to apologize to her. I wrote a letter of remorse, even made her breakfast! But guess what?"
"Not only did she refuse to forgive us, she ambushed me with this silver needle—the very one in my hand! She made me convulse and foam at the mouth, just like these bodyguards! I didn’t recover until half an hour ago! Heaven strike her down—how cruel can she be?"
"Father, Yangxu and I just wanted to reconcile, to live harmoniously as a family! But she won’t have it. She insists on severing ties, on tearing our family apart!"
"Father, think about it—before she returned to the Jiang family, how close we were with Elder Brother and his wife! But now, because of her, even they are at odds with us. Soon, we might become outright enemies!"
"After today, I won’t dare approach Jiang Youli again. Look—she even dares to attack her own mother! I don’t know how she does it, but a single needle was enough to make me suffer like that!"
Recalling her ordeal, Qin Yulian shuddered.
Old Master Jiang glanced at the silver needle, remembering how Youli had used the same method to treat his headache the night before. His frown deepened as he turned to his granddaughter. "Youli, is what your aunt said true?"
Without a trace of guilt, Jiang Youli replied, "I used the needle on her because she tried to hit my mother. I will never allow her to bully Mom."
Qin Yulian immediately retorted, "How dare you turn this around on me! It was your mother—no, I mean, your sister-in-law—who slapped my son Jiang Zhao first! As a mother, how could I just stand by and watch my child get hit without doing anything?"
