Not Close in Public, Preparing for Pregnancy in Private, Pampered with Affection Every Night

Chapter 370

The days blurred together, and she had no idea what time or day it was.

Qin Yuhe was a ravenous wolf.

Song Xinya was devoured by him down to the very last crumb.

She passed out.

When she came to again, she was lying on a soft double bed.

The sticky, clammy feeling all over her was gone — he had cleaned her up.

Crown Prince Qin had always been great in bed, with incredibly thoughtful attention both before and after the act.

If only you could ignore his overly vigorous stamina and the fact that he just never seemed to stop.

Song Xinya sat up, her sore waist protesting as she supported herself.

"Ugh..."

He must have helped himself to an all-you-can-eat buffet after she blacked out, otherwise she wouldn't ache this bad.

So unfair.

That ox of a man wasn't even tired, but her poor little field was almost plowed right over.

What was it like to have a husband with a ridiculously strong renal function?

Your waist gets completely wrecked.

Song Xinya spotted a pain-relieving patch on the nightstand, reached for eight of them to stick on her waist, but when she lifted her shirt, she saw it was already completely covered with patches.

Whoa.

Whoa, baby.

Her little waist was already this sore even with all those patches on.

What if there hadn't been any?

She would have been wailing, howling, and throwing a full-on tantrum from the pain.

Song Xinya flopped weakly onto the bed, her hands clutching the sheets feebly, only her throat still had enough energy to let out a yell.

"Qin Yuhe, you jerk!"

The bedroom door swung open, and Qin Yuhe leaned lazily against the frame.

"The jerk is here."

Song Xinya: "..."

How did he catch her the second she started cursing him?

Her luck was so bad that if she went out to play cards betting just 20 cents a round, she'd still lose everything she owned.

Qin Yuhe looked at her with a teasing glint in his eyes.

"Mrs. Qin, done cursing? If not, go right ahead, I'll wait."

Song Xinya huffed. "I'm not done."

Qin Yuhe: "Want me to help you curse?"

Song Xinya: "You're gonna curse yourself?"

Qin Yuhe: "If it makes you feel better, what's a few insults to myself?"

And he started right away.

"Qin Yuhe, are you even human? You beast, you total animal! Look at what you've done to your own wife! The couch cushions were soaked through, three whole bedsheets got drenched, you went through one cushion and three sheets in one night. Are your kidneys made of iron? You really think you're something, don't you?"

Song Xinya: "...You were insulting yourself and then started bragging halfway through."

She twisted her head away, giving him her back to let him figure it out himself.

Qin Yuhe pulled her out of the covers, held her in his arms, and kissed her on the lips.

"Time to get up and eat. You've been asleep for three whole days."

Song Xinya was shocked. "I slept for three days?"

Qin Yuhe: "I was more shocked than you. When I saw you wouldn't wake up no matter what, I checked your breathing every half hour to make sure you were still alive."

That's way too dramatic.

Song Xinya: "Why didn't you call an ambulance?"

Qin Yuhe: "Who said I didn't? One's already waiting right outside the door."

Ah!

Song Xinya craned her neck to peek at the door.

Qin Yuhe: "I'm just kidding, silly girl."

Song Xinya's face flushed bright red, and she pounded on his chest with her fists. "You're the silly one! Silly egg, silly duck egg, silly goose egg, silly ostrich egg!"

After eating, Song Xinya felt her strength come back, and she wanted to go see the snow.

Qin Yuhe put aside his work to take her to Central Park.

After the snowfall, the whole park looked like it had been enchanted. As far as the eye could see, everything was pure, spotless white.

Tree branches were wrapped in thick, fluffy snow, the lake was frozen over with glistening ice, and the skyscrapers against the snow made their usual sharp, cold outlines look soft, unbelievably romantic.

Song Xinya was dressed in a thick down jacket, a wool hat, a cashmere scarf, and thick gloves covering her hands, leaving only her tiny little face exposed. She looked just like a little penguin.

Her pale, fair face had a faint pink flush from the cold wind, looking soft and peachy.

As she walked, she purposely slowed down and fell behind Qin Yuhe.

When she had put some distance between them, she yelled his name at the top of her lungs. "Qin Yuhe!"

Qin Yuhe turned around.

Whoosh — a snowball came flying.

Bang — it hit him right in the face, hard.

Direct hit!

Song Xinya cackled with laughter.

Snow was dusted all over Qin Yuhe's mouth, nose, and eyebrows. That snowball was even bigger than his face. His wife really did not hold back.

Qin Yuhe wiped the snow off his face and looked at her, still laughing nonstop. "Why didn't you just hit me with an atomic bomb?"

Song Xinya: "I can't get my hands on an atomic bomb."

Qin Yuhe laughed. He'd thought her first reaction would be that she wouldn't have the heart to hit her own husband with something that powerful. What a wicked little wife.

He bent down and packed a snowball even bigger than her head, holding it in his palm like the Heavenly King holding his pagoda.

"Song Xinya, what do you think would happen if I threw this snowball right at your face?"

Song Xinya stared at that giant snowball and swallowed. That would kill her, right?

What do you do when you're in danger?

Run!

Song Xinya screamed "AHHHH" at the top of her lungs and sprinted forward as fast as she could.

Help, my husband is trying to murder his own wife!

But she could never outrun Qin Yuhe, who was tall and long-legged. She didn't even make it a few steps before he grabbed the back of her collar from behind. Qin Yuhe lifted her up like a little chick, his tone lazy and teasing.

"Run. Go on, keep running."

Song Xinya flailed her arms in the air. "I, I, I... fine, I'm in your clutches now, I can't escape."

Qin Yuhe tugged her collar and swung her back around. "Stand still."

Song Xinya stood obediently in the snow.

Qin Yuhe carried the giant snowball a few steps away from her. "Get ready for the snowball beatdown."

The second he finished speaking, he hurled the snowball at her.

Song Xinya screamed with her mouth wide open, so scared she squeezed her eyes shut. A snowball that big hitting her face would leave her disfigured for sure!

The giant snowball flew through the air — whoosh — and landed on the ground right next to her, not touching her even a little bit.

Qin Yuhe looked at her with a soft, gentle smile. Did she really think he would ever throw a snowball at her? This silly little thing.

The silly little thing that hated being called silly.

Song Xinya waited for ages and when nothing happened, she peeked one eye open.

The first thing she saw was Qin Yuhe's handsome, sharp face. He was already right next to her, eyes crinkling as he looked her level in the eye.

Song Xinya blinked, staring right back at him. "You're not going to throw it at me?"

Qin Yuhe patted her head. "I wouldn't dare hurt you."

Oh my.

Song Xinya's heart got flooded with that sweet, warm feeling all over again.

He held her hand, and they walked slowly along Central Park.

On the way, they passed a few people building snowmen.

A little blond boy puffed out his chest and said to Song Xinya, "My mom and dad are building me a snowman."

Every other kid got to have that, so little Miss Song was going to get it too. Qin Yuhe said to the little boy, "Her husband is going to build her a snowman."

The little boy said to Song Xinya, "The snowman your husband builds won't be as good as mine."

Qin Yuhe: "Hey kiddo, her snowman is going to be way better than yours."

The little boy: "How do you know that for sure?"

Qin Yuhe: "Because the husband of little Miss Song never gives her anything less than the best. Whatever he gives her, it's always the very best there is."
