Upon receiving Li Jin's message via carrier pigeon, the Prince of Pingyang could no longer sit still.
He arranged matters properly and immediately rushed back with Ling Yu.
Because Ling Feng had not completely recovered, he temporarily stayed at the manor to recuperate.
Due to the previous heavy rain, the progress at the iron mine had been delayed for two days.
Therefore, the Prince of Pingyang sent all his guards to help.
Now, only Ling Yu was by the Prince of Pingyang's side.
The Prince of Pingyang shot him a sidelong glance.
"Now that we have returned to the princely estate, are you afraid there will be no one? Are the guards in the estate dead?"
Ling Yu hesitated slightly.
Because of the Prince of Pingyang's physical inconvenience, getting into bed and going to the toilet required the help of guards.
And since the Prince of Pingyang was a germaphobe, those who had never served him before probably wouldn't be able to serve him well.
"Then this subordinate will go and pick a guard to come and serve Your Highness."
Ling Yu thought about it, still feeling uneasy.
The Prince of Pingyang did not object; he waved his hand at Ling Yu.
Ling Yu left, and Duoduo waited until the others had gone far before sticking out her tongue.
The Prince of Pingyang knew what Duoduo was thinking, and he cast her a warning glance.
"Have you found the method I asked you to look for?"
Duoduo immediately revealed a smile.
"Father, I have a little idea, but I don't know if it will be effective."
The Prince of Pingyang was somewhat interested.
"What is it? Tell me."
"Okay," Duoduo nodded.
"That day the master talked about Mafeisan, Father, have you heard of this?"
The Prince of Pingyang nodded.
"I was thinking, could we pierce the Mafeisan into the place we want to paralyze?"
"For example, if we want the legs to be unable to move, we pierce the Mafeisan in there."
The Prince of Pingyang pondered for a while.
"How do you pierce it in?"
Duoduo raised a smile, "I also thought about it for a long time. I want to try boiling the silver needles in Mafeisan."
"After the silver needles are soaked and boiled, won't they have an anesthetic effect?"
"I want to try."
The Prince of Pingyang nodded.
"Since you've thought of a method, then try it."
Duoduo did not expect that the Prince of Pingyang would actually be so supportive of her idea.
Duoduo was extremely excited.
"Then I will go get the medicinal herbs to make Mafeisan tomorrow."
After her excitement, Duoduo suddenly remembered.
"But, how will I know if doing this is effective?"
The Prince of Pingyang patted Duoduo's head.
"Just stick a few needles in, and you'll know if it works!"
Duoduo took a step back.
"That won't do!"
"What if I ruin your legs?"
A gleam flashed in the Prince of Pingyang's eyes.
"Isn't there you, this little divine doctor? You can definitely cure it, right?"
Being called a "little divine doctor" by the Prince of Pingyang made Duoduo blush.
However, her attitude remained firm.
"No! Master Zhang said that without certainty, one must never stick needles into a patient!"
"Father, don't even think about it!"
Duoduo very firmly rejected the Prince of Pingyang's idea.
The Prince of Pingyang looked at Duoduo, and Duoduo stared back at him without any cowardice.
After a long while, the Prince of Pingyang actually smiled.
To be able to lock eyes with him for so long under his stern gaze, Duoduo was the first!
A satisfied smile flashed in the Prince of Pingyang's eyes.
"Then go to the kitchen and bring a rabbit."
"You stick needles into the rabbit first, and if it's effective, then try it on me. How about that?"
Duoduo tilted her head, thought for a moment, and nodded.
"Okay!"
The Prince of Pingyang shifted the topic.
"Go tell the maids to inform the Princess Consort that tonight, you will stay here with me."
"Huh?"
Duoduo looked confused.
This was the first time the Prince of Pingyang had proactively suggested that she stay with him.
Duoduo was small; she did not see that the tips of the Prince of Pingyang's ears had turned red.
The Prince of Pingyang thought of Duoduo's dream and was worried that something bad might happen to her.
He was of royal blood, so evil spirits and demons would certainly be somewhat wary of him.
With Duoduo sleeping next to him, she would definitely be fine.
The Prince of Pingyang pulled a long face.
"What's with the 'huh'? What? Are you unwilling?"
Duoduo revealed a brilliant smile.
"Of course I'm willing! It's just that you are very tired, Father, and I'm worried about disturbing you!"
"I'm not complaining, so hurry up and go!"
The Prince of Pingyang's face showed a look of disdain.
Duoduo happily skipped out, and after a short while, ran back in.
In her hands, she carried the clothes she needed to change into.
"Father, are you going to bathe? I haven't bathed yet after practicing martial arts today!"
The Prince of Pingyang rubbed his forehead.
"Have your maid come in to serve you."
Duoduo blinked.
"I sent them all away!"
The Prince of Pingyang glared at Duoduo. "Men!"
No one answered from outside the door.
"Men!" The Prince of Pingyang raised his voice.
Duoduo stuck her tongue out at the Prince of Pingyang.
"Father, I just sent the guards away."
The Prince of Pingyang stared at Duoduo for a moment, then suddenly let out a cold snort.
"You drove everyone away. What are you trying to do?"
Duoduo hugged her clothes, "I need to bathe first, and then go to sleep!"
"You drove everyone away, so who is going to get your bathwater?" The Prince of Pingyang scrutinized Duoduo.
Duoduo looked full of regret.
"Oh right! How could I forget that? Sigh, I'm so stupid!"
"I'll just have to carry it myself!"
After Duoduo finished speaking, she put down her clothes and walked toward the door on her short little legs.
"Enough, I'll go carry it!"
The Prince of Pingyang looked at Duoduo's short little legs, figuring that by the time she got the water ready, it would probably be dawn.
Hearing the Prince of Pingyang's words, Duoduo immediately stopped.
"Thank you, Father. Sorry for the trouble, Father."
The Prince of Pingyang pushed his wheelchair and went out.
Halfway there, he felt something was wrong.
When he saw the hot water outside the door, he realized what was wrong.
Duoduo did it on purpose!
The guards had already placed the water outside the door, but Duoduo actually didn't let them bring it in and even sent them away!
After the Prince of Pingyang carried the two buckets of water into the room, he stood up from his chair.
He deliberately held the two buckets of water and paused in front of Duoduo for a moment.
"Satisfied?"
Duoduo smiled brightly, twirling around the Prince of Pingyang.
"Father, you are really better!"
The Prince of Pingyang glanced at Duoduo and poured the water into the bathtub in the side room.
"There are only two buckets of water. If you wash, how am I going to wash?"
Duoduo blinked.
"I ordered the guards to place another two buckets of water at the door after the time it takes to drink a cup of tea."
The Prince of Pingyang let out a cold laugh.
"My guards certainly listen to you."
Duoduo stuck out her tongue.
"I told them it was your order! Of course they listened!"
"You've grown bold, actually impersonating me to pass on orders!" The Prince of Pingyang looked at Duoduo with a half-smile.
Duoduo quickly grabbed her clothes and ran into the side room.
"I'm not bold, I'm just a fox exploiting the tiger's might!"
After Duoduo finished speaking, she ran into the side room and closed the door.
The Prince of Pingyang looked at the closed door, a smile appearing on the corners of his lips.
He slowly walked back to his wheelchair and sat down.
Before long, Duoduo's voice came from the side room.
