Knowing Jiang Mo had to work, Su Yunjin specifically chose a weekend when she was off to have the items delivered to her home.
Jiang Mo slept in, and after getting up, she went to Riverside Bay.
Maomao had been eating well and sleeping well lately, visibly growing a full size larger.
Tucking Maomao into her arms felt wonderful.
After playing for half an hour, the delivery arrived.
She had thought there would only be two or three boxes, but they kept coming, over a dozen in total. It wasn't convenient for her to open them, so she just stacked them together.
Not long after, Su Yunjin arrived. "Did you get all the things?"
"Yes, Auntie Su. They delivered all these, they're in the living room," Jiang Mo said, pointing at the pile. "I'm not sure if it's everything."
"Why don't you open them and have a look?"
Jiang Mo smiled. "Aren't these for Gu Ye? I thought I'd wait for him to come back and open them himself."
"Who said these were for that rascal? These are all for you," Su Yunjin said, her eyes and brows smiling. "Come on, see if you like them."
Jiang Mo blinked her big eyes. These were all for her?
Upon opening the packages, she found several high-end skincare products, jewelry, sunglasses, and other items inside.
"This scented candle smells lovely too. I've been using this body lotion for years," Su Yunjin enthusiastically introduced each item.
Jiang Mo could tell these were all Su Yunjin's personal favorites. Some brands she hadn't even seen before, and they certainly weren't cheap.
"Thank you, Auntie, but these are a bit too extravagant."
Su Yunjin shook her head, taking Jiang Mo's arm. "Buying these isn't extravagant. Buying them and not using them is. Gu Ye is a boy, what does he know about buying these things for us girls?"
"Alright now, don't be polite with me. Put these things away."
With things put that way, Jiang Mo had no choice but to obediently accept the gifts.
Su Yunjin wandered around the apartment, eventually pausing to glance into the master bedroom doorway. It didn't seem to have changed much.
She then meandered to the guest room doors. Several guest rooms were empty, uninhabitable.
She nodded, satisfied. It seemed her silly boy still had a bit of cunning.
Seeing it was almost lunchtime, Su Yunjin waved a hand grandly. "Xiao Mo, you don't have other plans today, do you? Keep your aunt company for some shopping?"
Jiang Mo rubbed her hands on her thighs. "Alright, Auntie Su."
It wasn't that she hadn't gone shopping with Su Yunjin before, but now their relationship had changed somewhat, so Jiang Mo felt a bit reserved at first.
By the end of lunch, she had completely relaxed.

Seeing Jiang Mo refuse this and decline that, Su Yunjin took direct action and selected one piece herself. "Trust my taste. This one suits young girls like you."
While shopping, Jiang Mo texted Gu Ye. "I'm out shopping with Auntie Su today. Auntie bought me some things, spent a lot of money."
"If my mom buys you something, just take it. She has money, we shouldn't let it go to waste," Gu Ye joked. "If I were there, she'd spend even more."
Jiang Mo pouted. "What Auntie gave this time is jewelry. It's too expensive."
Gu Ye: "My mom's timing is perfect. I always thought your neck looked bare. You have a long neck, wearing some jewelry would look really nice."
Jiang Mo: "Alright then."
With company, Su Yunjin's spirits were high. Jiang Mo acted as her advisor, and Su Yunjin ended up buying a whole pile of things herself.
Su Yunjin wanted to invite Jiang Mo home for dinner, but remembering the two youngsters were still keeping their relationship under wraps, she decided against it.
After returning home and finishing dinner, Su Yunjin didn't go upstairs. She stayed downstairs drinking tea, observing Wang Xia's movements. When the other woman had a free moment, she called her over.
"Wang Ma, take these cosmetics back to use. We women still have to treat ourselves well," she said, handing over a shopping bag containing three or four items.
