"Qilin Military Academy Squad Four, plus thirty points."
"Qingsong Military Academy Squad Four eliminated, points cleared."
Wang Tianwei and the others were wearing the Qingsong uniforms, which were now covered in dirt and grime after two fierce battles.
"Qingsong has been completely eliminated. We can't wear these clothes anymore."
Huang Yan said as he took off the crumpled jacket.
Wang Tianwei looked up to meet the resentful glares of the Qingsong students.
"Uh... please take a message back to your teammates! Once we get out, we'll wash the clothes and return them!"
"Hmph!!!"
"Sister Ma, should we change into the Greenfield uniforms next?"
"Alright, let me find them..."
The students from various military academies in the live chat had gone from cursing at the beginning to gradually getting used to it.
"These guys seem to be treating our academy uniforms like work clothes..."
"It's fine, it's fine... It'll be our Valker's turn soon. They won't spare the green ones."
"I'm not convinced! Santorini's uniforms are clearly better looking than Greenfield's!"
Day five of the survival match.
Li Hece's squad was eliminated by Valker, leaving Qilin with only its final team.
The time for Huang Yan's mental energy surge this month arrived two days early, bringing with it extreme mental instability!
Fortunately, he could still predict the timing of the surge, so he simply changed tactics!
During the peak, it was the best time to either earn points or eliminate opponents! And the uniforms of various academies they had collected in advance gave them an extra advantage!
During the peak, he could completely "see" which academy's students were nearby ahead of time, allowing them to avoid the dangerous ones or those that would take too long to fight.
The rest were the ones he had filtered out as not being much of a problem!
Thus, in a rainforest full of mutant beasts, star beasts, and wild animals, the four of them acted with increasingly superb skill!
Some of the eliminated squads thought they had seen ghosts when they finally got a clear look at their faces!
Even if they were occasionally outmatched by one or two S-ranks, they still dared to charge straight in!
Zhang Lyra already had little trouble with cross-level hand-to-hand combat, coupled with Huang Yan's mental energy attacks.
So far, his judgment hadn't failed once!
The audience in the four-person squad's live stream grew larger. At first, many people said they must be fighting rigged matches!
But until these few people eliminated every other school except the First Military Academy, such comments gradually vanished.
How could all the eliminated academies cooperate with Qilin!?
Valker certainly wasn't short on money! Besides, didn't Santorini also have a conflict with them?
Those eliminated squads also voiced their anger after coming out! Losing the match was annoying enough, but to be personally insulted by these baffling people!?
...It was truly bizarre. How could three A-ranks be this fierce!?
The four still in the match were holding onto a ruthless determination!
Stripped down to bare bones in the preliminaries!? Then the other academies shouldn't expect to have it easy either!
They hadn't encountered the First Military Academy yet. The commander of Santorini's main team had somewhat strong mental energy, and the remaining three members were all S-ranks!
Huang Yan had no absolute certainty of winning, so he avoided them in advance...
After Chao Hao and Fu Manli brought back the members of Li Hece's squad, they informed them that Zhao Ling's first treatment had been completed.
Thank goodness he was brought back early!
Zhao Ling wasn't just bitten by a poisonous spider; he also had the venom of a toxic caterpillar in his body! Any later, and his internal organs would have started to fail!
The three members of Li Hece's squad were terrified in hindsight. Hearing that he needed three consecutive days of treatment, they volunteered to take over the job of caring for their teammate from the two teachers!
Now Qilin was left with only one remaining team, and all the pressure rested on the four first-year students.
As she walked, Wang Tianwei noticed that the mental energy barrier around her had become stronger. She turned back and exchanged a glance with Zhang Lyra and Jian Jingyu.
There was still a day and a half before the match ended, and their Sir Huang would have to take medication as soon as he got out!
They were not allowed to bring mental energy-related drugs into the rainforest... Huang Yan knew well that there was no way back now.
He could only extend his mental energy detection range further and solidify the barriers around his teammates!
Only in this way could he barely keep his mental energy and physical stamina on the same level.
But the price was that his mental energy fluctuations became more and more frequent, occasionally starting to withdraw without any warning...
"Something's not right with Huang Yan."
"That kid... his mental energy hasn't developed some kind of problem, has it?"
Chao Hao bit his thumb.
He always felt that Huang Yan's mental energy should be more than just A-rank, but a year had passed... and no matter how it was tested in between, there hadn't been the slightest change!
Currently, the group's fighting style looked more like Huang Yan was deliberately depleting his own mental energy, but wasn't he afraid it would dry up?
Fu Manli knitted her brows and thought for a long time.
"Is he about to upgrade? Or maybe he just changed his tactics... At least the results are pretty good for now."
Weren't they more than just pretty good?
They had earned two hundred and fifty points and consecutively eliminated teams from four military academies!
Uh, no, it was five academies now!
He hadn't even dared to do something that drew so much hatred back when he was young!
"Did the teachers from Qingsong scold you during the meeting today?"
"Hmph, as if they'd let you off either!?"
"Anyway, it's only one day left... It's not a big problem."
In the video feed, Huang Yan suddenly spoke up with a warning.
"There are pack-dwelling star beasts ahead. Six of them. They look like shapeshifting bugs."
He even detected such a tricky species!? Zhang Lyra stopped in her tracks.
"Sir Huang... do you want to handle it directly?"
"I'll try."
Huang Yan did not hesitate. Before the group even reached the star beasts' habitat, the shapeshifting bugs had already completely died from the mental energy attack!
"Six of them, no problem, right?"
"None!"
Jian Jingyu counted them one by one, doing so for the scorekeeper to see.
"Qilin Military Academy Squad Four, plus sixty points."
"Now we have three hundred and ten points."
Wang Tianwei finally relaxed a little and pulled out her tally notebook.
"Currently, the teams ahead of us in total points are the First Military Academy with seven hundred and twenty points.
Valker Military Academy, six hundred and seventy points.
Santorini, five hundred points... and Greenfield, four hundred and eighty points."
"These academies seem to have at most two teams left. If we take out one, we can almost make it into the top three!"
Jian Jingyu and Zhang Lyra stared unblinkingly at Huang Yan, their expressions showing that as long as the captain said go, they would charge without hesitation!
Huang Yan looked helplessly at the two combatants.
"Don't be reckless just yet."
In just that brief moment, the mental energy peak receded, and the group clearly felt the barrier weaken.
"Sir Huang, do we need to escort you out first?"
Zhang Lyra hesitated for a long time before finally asking.
She didn't know if Huang Yan would run into trouble if this continued.
Although everyone experienced mental instability at times, Sir Huang was already in poor health. If something really happened...
Wang Tianwei also said.
"Did it come early this month? You..."
"I'm fine, I can still hold on for now! If I really can't, I'll tell you."
Jian Jingyu walked at the very front to clear the way, muttering under his breath when he heard this.
"If you keep it to yourself and something terrible happens, I won't forgive you! People always say commanders are the most stubborn..."
Wang Tianwei curled her lips and shot Huang Yan a glance before jogging over to Jian Jingyu.
"Keep a close watch on Sir Huang with your mental energy. If things go south, we'll just send him right out of here! Don't listen to a word he says!"
"I agree!"
"...I can hear you, you know!"
"It's not like we were trying to hide it from you!"
The audience watching the broadcast was completely baffled.
"What's going on? Is Huang Yan going down too?"
"I didn't see him get bitten by anything!?"
"His mental energy must be unstable, right? But that move he just pulled scared the life out of me! The star beast was dead before he even reached it..."
"I feel like he could go toe-to-toe with Elizabeth from Santorini!"
"You've got to be joking. Who doesn't know how to use a mental attack!? Elizabeth is from the Paige family! And she's an S-class!"
"...Have you forgotten how many S-classes their squad has already eliminated?"
"Let's not get ahead of ourselves, alright? Qilin only has this one squad left!"
"A squad made up of three A-classes... I think it's going to be tough!"
