After the Assistant Became Beautiful, She Stole the Big Star’s Sugar Daddy

Chapter 128

The next day was Saturday.

Morning.

The living room floor was covered with a thick beige carpet.

Su Qianqian had piled up several plush cushions to create a cozy little nest, where she comfortably nestled in.

She was dressed in a soft yellow crop top and shorts, revealing slender, porcelain-white arms and long legs.

Her silky hair cascaded down, with only the ends naturally curling slightly, a few loose strands framing her delicate, pure face.

Gu Chengyu, wearing a black loungewear T-shirt and casual pants, slid into her little nest.

He leaned back against the sofa, his long legs stretched out casually, while one strong arm naturally wrapped around Su Qianqian’s slender waist, pulling her halfway into his embrace.

The girl was accustomed to his hold, instinctively curling up against one of his bent legs like a lazy cat.

On the coffee table in front of her was a plate of meticulously prepared fruit slices—sunshine muscat grapes, bright red strawberry chunks, and golden mango cubes—arranged in a vibrant, tempting display.

Su Qianqian nibbled on the fruit with a small fork while watching a hit drama playing on the oversized TV screen.

It was the latest work by the acclaimed actress Jiang Wanqing.

The girl watched with keen interest, carefully studying the highlights to learn from them.

Gu Chengyu, however, had little interest in the drama itself. Deep down, he wasn’t the type to quietly sit through a soap opera.

But with a warm, fragrant girl in his arms and her subtle floral scent lingering in the air, he found this leisurely morning rather delightful.

His other restless hand idly played with Su Qianqian’s silky hair.

Her hair naturally fell in soft, voluminous waves—the kind that salons struggled to replicate—giving her the air of a noble little princess.

A few days ago, Amy had suggested that straight, flowing hair would better suit Lin Wan’s quiet, introverted character, so she’d lightly styled it to be sleeker.

Hmm… Combined with her youthful outfit today, she didn’t look eighteen—more like sixteen or seventeen.

For the first time, Gu Chengyu felt a twinge of guilt.

It almost felt like he was dating an underage girl.

His fingers twirled a strand of her hair, his eyes narrowing slightly as the guilt quickly gave way to mischief.

Quietly, he gathered three strands from the back of her head and began deftly weaving them into a thin little braid.

His movements were gentle, careful not to disturb the girl engrossed in the drama.

Su Qianqian felt his fingers but only tilted her head slightly, nuzzling against his knee like a pampered pet, her attention still fixed on the TV.

Occasionally, she’d spear a plump, juicy sunshine muscat grape and wordlessly hold it back for him.

Gu Chengyu would obediently open his mouth to accept it, his fingers never pausing as he savored the peaceful moment.

On the screen, the plot reached a minor climax.

The male and female leads, after numerous misunderstandings, finally reconciled. The camera zoomed in as their faces drew closer, lips meeting in a passionate kiss that grew increasingly fervent, even producing soft, wet sounds.

Gu Chengyu’s braiding fingers froze.

He knew that sound all too well. His gaze snapped to the screen, his expression darkening.

Was this the kind of content they aired on TV now? Right in front of him?

And the girl in his arms was watching intently, her face serious.

Immediately, he abandoned the half-finished braid and clapped a hand over Su Qianqian’s eyes.

“Mmph!” Suddenly plunged into darkness, she startled.

She straightened up, confused, and tried to pry his hand away, her voice soft and puzzled. “What are you doing, Chengyu?”

His hand didn’t budge, firmly shielding her eyes as he declared imperiously, “You’re not watching this.”

Su Qianqian was utterly baffled by his sudden antics.

She tugged at his fingers, half-amused, half-exasperated. “Why can’t I? I’m eighteen, not eight.”

“And…” She paused, her cheeks flushing slightly as she lowered her voice in a coy complaint,

“When you’re doing all sorts of things to me every night, indulging yourself without restraint, I don’t see you being this conservative!”

Hearing her say it made Gu Chengyu’s ears burn slightly.

But his grip didn’t loosen.

His other arm tightened around her waist, pulling her closer as he argued stubbornly, “That’s different.”

“Why are you watching other people being intimate? It’s indecent.”

“If you want to watch, you can only watch me.”

The last few words were murmured right against her ear.

Su Qianqian couldn’t help but laugh at his childish, possessive logic, though she found it oddly endearing.

She gave up struggling and let him keep her eyes covered, leaning back fully into his embrace.

Tilting her head, she nuzzled against the crook of his neck, her voice muffled. “Young Master Gu, since when did you become so unreasonable?”

“I’m just studying—the framing, the atmosphere, the positioning…”

“No studying either!” Gu Chengyu cut her off, his hand pressing more firmly over her eyes. “You’re not allowed to watch other men kissing women, especially when they’re going at it like that, about to strip and jump into bed.”

He paused, then added, “And no such scenes in your scripts either. We agreed on that last night.”

Su Qianqian wriggled in protest.

She lifted the uneaten sunshine muscat grape on her fork and, blindly, held it up to his lips.

“Alright, alright, you jealous thing. Stop sulking and have a grape,” she coaxed sweetly.

Gu Chengyu huffed but accepted her bribe, bending to take the grape with his lips.

He glanced at the TV—the scene had changed—so he finally released her eyes. At the same time, he turned his head slightly, letting his tongue flick against her delicate fingertips.

Su Qianqian jerked her hand back as if burned, her face flushing deeper. The moment her eyes opened, she shot him a reproachful glare.

The man, however, acted completely unbothered, wrapping both arms around her waist and resting his chin on her head, pretending to watch the TV where the supporting characters were now delivering their lines.

The girl sighed at his shamelessness and turned her attention back to the drama.

Satisfied, Gu Chengyu hummed quietly.

After a while, he released her waist and resumed weaving the mostly undone little braid, his fingers dancing skillfully through her silky strands.
