After Recognizing a Passerby as My Father, I Got the Villain Family Bundle

Chapter 208

Shen Yi had become a bit paranoid after being chased by those scumbags. Hearing the noise, her steps paused slightly, her reflex telling her to run.

Shen Xun didn't move.

He stood quietly in place; these people couldn't possibly be coming for him.

Their target was someone else.

Sasa stood between the two. Seeing Shen Yi's stress reaction and Shen Xun's complete stillness, her mouth twitched. Realizing something was wrong, her instinct was to leave.

But there was no way out behind them, and there was movement ahead.

A squad of men wearing bulletproof vests and holding standard-issue rifles turned the corner.

Their uniforms bore striking insignias; their identities were self-evident.

The leader held a photograph in his hand. He glanced down at it, then looked up, his gaze locking accurately onto Sasa.

"Codename 707, Que Organization Intelligence Group, Sasa."

As he spoke, the two men behind him raised their guns, the muzzles pointed at the ground as a deterrent.

Sasa's face turned pale the moment she saw those gun barrels.

"Come with us."

The middle-aged man's expression carried a businesslike coldness.

Sasa was a core member of the Que organization, an illegal intelligence group. Having been in this organization for several years, she held an unknown number of intelligence lines in her hands.

She had to be taken away.

Sasa closed her eyes for a moment.

In that instant, her eyelashes fluttered a few times. She took a deep breath, slowly exhaled, and then crouched down with her hands on her head.

"I don't know much," Sasa's voice came from her crouched position, suppressing her fear with a steady tone. "I can tell you whatever you need."

The woman's voice was surprisingly calm at this moment.

After being terrified to the extreme, a self-protection mechanism kicks in, suppressing all emotions to the very bottom.

Shen Yi's hand still maintained the posture of holding onto Sasa from just a moment ago.

She watched her friend crouch down.

Shen Yi didn't move. Compared to Sasa's cautiousness, she and Shen Xun stood out glaringly by just standing there.

"You, step out." The law enforcement officer's gaze shifted to Shen Yi.

He couldn't help but notice her.

That head of curly green hair was more eye-catching in this dusty underground corridor than any fluorescent sign.

"Which organization? Report it."

"Guidang," Shen Xun answered for her.

Hearing they were assassins, they moved their gun muzzles slightly away.

The leader looked at her coolly: "You, green hair, you've been helping her escape earlier, haven't you?"

The footage from the body cameras was proof; they didn't need Shen Yi to admit it at all.

Shen Yi could only admit, "Yes."

She hid behind Shen Xun, forcefully pulling Sasa back with her in passing. "But she can't go with you."

"Why?" The leader's expression turned cold. He wasn't afraid of that assassin organization. Under the watchful eyes of the public, even an assassin wouldn't dare do anything to him. "Do you know what we represent? Interfere with our business, and even if you are Guidang assassins, we can still execute you on the spot."

Shen Xun found her habit of retreating behind him at the slightest disagreement amusing. He didn't make a sound, just turned his head.

He wanted to see how Shen Yi planned to handle the scene before them.

Shen Yi: "Are you going to kill us?"

"We certainly have that right." The leader was already growing impatient. "Now, hand over the woman behind you!"

Sasa was trembling all over. She wanted to shake off Shen Yi's hand and step out voluntarily.

But Shen Yi held on with a death grip.

Sasa looked down at Shen Yi's hand. Her eyes were a little red, but she didn't cry.

"I'm sorry for dragging you into this." Sasa took a deep breath, this time inhaling even harder, as if trying to pump herself up.

"Now, let go, Xiao Yi."

Shen Yi did not let go.

"If you don't let go, I'll gun you down with her," the law enforcement officer said with an icy expression.

"Wait a minute, let me just say one thing. You can kill me after you hear it," Shen Yi interrupted before they lost their patience, popping her head out and speaking rapidly:

"The Guidang organization is run by my family, and the boss behind the scenes is my uncle. As law enforcement officers, you must have seen the top of the major wanted lists all year round, right? That's my dad. My mom goes by the codename Harbinger Bird, and her past combat records are verifiable."

"My other three brothers are also on the scene. Moreover, our surname is Shen, as in the Shen family."

"Alright, I'm done." The girl tightly shut her eyes, keeping her voice very flat. "You can kill me now."
