After Rebirth, I Was Forced to Become the Mafia Princess!

Chapter 29

Private Room 888.

Just as Guo Xiang and his friends were in the midst of their lively celebration, the door to the private room was suddenly slammed open with a loud bang by brute force from outside.

Following the commotion, Crazy Dog Brother swaggered in, accompanied by four or five lackeys who clearly had the look of street thugs.

The entire group froze at the sight. Even the classmate who had been singing instinctively lowered the microphone, and the room fell into an abrupt silence.

Even the usually composed Liu Yutong turned her head to look, her brows slightly furrowed. A flicker of wariness flashed in her eyes as an uneasy premonition settled in her heart.

Guo Xiang immediately stepped forward to greet the intruder. "Crazy Dog Brother, what brings you here?" He gestured toward the men behind him. "And this is…?"

Crazy Dog Brother didn’t bother hiding his intentions. "We were getting bored next door. Saw you folks had a big crowd, looked fun, so we thought we’d join in. Hope you don’t mind."

Guo Xiang didn’t dare refuse. "Of course not! We’d be honored to have you join us." He quickly ushered Crazy Dog Brother and his crew toward the sofa.

Room 888 was one of the largest VIP suites in Caesar’s, so even with nineteen people already seated, there was still plenty of space.

"Crazy Dog Brother, please, have a seat."

But instead of sitting, Crazy Dog Brother scanned the room, his gaze eventually landing on the group of girls seated on the right side.

"This sofa’s too cramped. I had the staff bring in some stools."

He signaled to one of his lackeys, who promptly left to arrange it.

Soon, several waiters entered, carrying stools.

"Put them right there," Crazy Dog Brother said, pointing toward the right side of the sofa where the young women were seated. "Perfect for my boys and your classmates to play some drinking games."

Apart from Liu Yutong, who remained unshaken, the other girls—including Yu Xin—flinched, turning their heads away and whispering nervously among themselves.

"Seriously? Are these guys trying to make us drink?"

"What do we do?"

"I can’t handle alcohol."

"Me neither..."

"......"

They weren’t stupid. It was obvious Crazy Dog Brother had ill intentions.

But with his rough demeanor and the intimidating presence of his thuggish entourage, none of them dared to refuse outright.

Before long, Crazy Dog Brother and his men swaggered over, planting themselves right in front of Liu Yutong and the others.

Leaning back with one leg casually crossed over the other, Crazy Dog Brother let his eyes roam over the girls before settling on Liu Yutong—her cool composure and striking presence impossible to ignore.

"Hey, beautiful. Second time we’ve met, right? That makes us friends. How about we have some fun?"

Liu Yutong met his gaze evenly, her voice icy. "What kind of fun?"

Crazy Dog Brother grinned. "What’s a KTV trip without dice games? My boys and I’ll play with you."

"Sorry, we don’t know how," Liu Yutong replied without hesitation.

"Yeah, Crazy… Crazy Dog Brother, we don’t play dice," the other girls chimed in nervously.

"No worries, I’ll teach you. I’m all about helping people out." He flashed a smug grin. "And don’t worry about the tab—whatever you drink tonight, it’s on me."

A flicker of disgust crossed Liu Yutong’s eyes. She stood up, her tone frosty. "Sorry, Crazy Dog Brother, but we’re about to leave."

She turned to Yu Xin. "Yu Xin, let’s go."

Yu Xin scrambled to her feet. "Got it, Yutong."

Crazy Dog Brother’s grin vanished, replaced by a scowl. He hadn’t expected the girl in the blue dress to outright reject him.

Without a word from him, his lackeys immediately stood, blocking their path with outstretched arms.

One of them bared his teeth in a mocking grin. "Leaving so soon, sweetheart? We just met. Stay a little longer—Crazy Dog Brother’ll make sure you get home safe."

"Yeah, what’s the rush? Can’t even have one drink with us? You trying to disrespect him?"

"......"

Liu Yutong’s expression turned glacial. "Move."

As tensions escalated, Guo Xiang hurried over, forcing a smile. "Crazy Dog Brother, this is just a class reunion. Could you do us a favor and let this go?"

Crazy Dog Brother scoffed. "I did you a favor. Wasn’t it you who invited me? I even had the staff send over drinks and fruit platters. And now you’re just gonna walk out without even a toast? What’s that supposed to mean?"

Guo Xiang’s stomach twisted with regret. He wished he could slap himself for ever inviting this troublemaker just to show off in front of his classmates.

Gritting his teeth, he tried again. "Look, Crazy Dog Brother, they’re girls—they can’t hold their liquor. How about I drink with you instead? I’ll take their place."

Crazy Dog Brother smirked. "Sure. Since you’re so eager to cover for them, here’s the deal: for every glass I drink, you finish a whole bottle. Fair, right?"

Guo Xiang paled.

His alcohol tolerance was mediocre at best. If he had to drink like that, he’d be dead before the night was over.

"Crazy Dog Brother—"

"Get lost!" Crazy Dog Brother shoved him aside and stepped right up to Liu Yutong.

"Listen, sweetheart. Tonight, you either drink with me till we’re both happy, or none of you are walking out that door."

His blatant arrogance finally pushed the male classmates past their limit.

Watching these thugs try to force their female classmates to drink was too much for any self-respecting man to tolerate.

"Crazy Dog Brother, this is our reunion. Get out!"

"Yeah, who do you think you are, demanding they drink with you?"

"There’s more of us—we don’t have to be afraid. We’re already graduated; they can’t do anything to us."

"......"

With one guy leading the charge, the others quickly rallied, standing up and forming a protective barrier around Liu Yutong and the girls.

"Back off! Just because you’re gangsters doesn’t mean we’re scared. Touch any of us, and we’re calling the cops!"

"Yeah, let’s see how tough you act when the police haul you in!"

"......"

Faced with the group’s defiance and threats of police involvement, Crazy Dog Brother and his lackeys were forced to retreat under the pressure.

Crazy Dog Brother viciously threw his cigarette butt to the ground, stomped it out with force, and then growled in a hoarse voice, "You just wait—don’t think this is over!"

With that, he slunk out of the private room with his lackeys in tow.

Truth be told, Crazy Dog Brother wasn’t actually scared of them. But his boss, Niu Ben, had warned him earlier to keep a low profile during this period and avoid stirring up trouble.

Right now, Niu Ben was leading a crew on a demolition job outside. That kind of work was already volatile, so he’d ordered Crazy Dog Brother and the others to stay under the radar and not let things blow up on their end.

That’s why Crazy Dog Brother had chosen to swallow his pride for now.

Otherwise, with his temper, he would’ve already taught these reckless kids a lesson.

Seeing Crazy Dog Brother and his gang forced out of the room, the young, hot-blooded guys inside erupted in cheers.

They’d already had a few drinks, and now that they’d "scared off" a notorious thug like Crazy Dog Brother, their egos swelled. Their words grew bolder, their tone more careless.

"That Crazy Dog Brother ain’t so tough after all. Just a little scare and he ran off."

"Right? I thought he was supposed to be some big deal."

"Honestly, it’s us who’ve got the real presence. We’re the ones who made him back down."

"Guo Xiang, you should really stop hanging around with guys like that. What a bunch of losers, backing off like cowards."

"Yeah, Guo Xiang, the way you froze up earlier was downright embarrassing."

"......"

Guo Xiang’s pride was thoroughly shattered. Instead of looking cool, he’d become the butt of everyone’s jokes. He could only awkwardly agree, mumbling about misjudging Crazy Dog Brother and overestimating him, just to move past the humiliation.

Soon, the room buzzed with laughter again.

This time, the atmosphere was even rowdier than before.

After all, if even Crazy Dog Brother hadn’t dared to mess with them, they figured they must be pretty intimidating. The thought of leaving the KTV early never crossed their minds.

Liu Yutong had been ready to go, but the other girls pulled her back.

"What’s there to be afraid of? With guys like Guo Xiang and Lin Bin around, those thugs wouldn’t dare lay a finger on us."

"......"

The way the boys had stood up for them earlier had given the girls a sense of security. Now, they weren’t as tense as before.

And so, they kept partying for over another hour, with no intention of heading home.

Until a sudden, sharp scream pierced through the noise from outside the door.
