After Rebirth, I Was Forced to Become the Mafia Princess!

Chapter 12

Liu Yutong didn’t call for a stop, so Liu Hao and the others didn’t dare to stop either.

"Little sis, it’s not that I want to hit you, but I’ve got no choice here. You gotta understand me!" Liu Hao said while raising his hand and delivering another slap.

Slap!

"Don’t worry, once my guys get here, I’ll make sure you get your revenge."

Slap! Slap!

"We’re just putting on a show here, little sis. You gotta tough it out!"

Slap! Slap! Slap!

"..."

Every word was punctuated with a slap.

Though Liu Hao felt a twinge of guilt, he knew he couldn’t stop now. The only thing he could do was offer Zhao Zhu some consolation between slaps.

Zhao Zhu was beaten so badly she could barely speak, sobbing as she cried out, "Can’t you at least hit me softer?!"

"No can do! I’ve got professional standards to uphold!" Liu Hao delivered another slap.

This time, the force of the blow sent Zhao Zhu’s already loose front tooth flying out of her mouth.

Zhao Zhu: "Liu Hao, screw your mom!"

She couldn’t take it anymore. In a fit of rage, she opened her mouth and sank her teeth into Liu Hao’s arm with all her might.

"Ah! Damn it!"

Liu Hao howled in pain and instinctively slapped Zhao Zhu so hard she passed out. He quickly rolled up his sleeve to check—his arm was bleeding from the bite.

"Damn it, you bitch! You bit me so hard!"

Still fuming, he kicked the unconscious Zhao Zhu twice for good measure.

Then he turned to Liu Yutong and the others, who had deliberately kept their distance.

"Had enough?!"

"Whether it’s enough or not is up to you. We’re just passing by."

"Let’s go." Liu Yutong motioned for Yun Cheng and the others to leave.

But just as she turned around, Liu Hao shouted, "Stop right there!"

"What? You don’t want us to leave?" Liu Yutong paused and glanced back at him.

"I’ve been running things in Wushui County for years, and no one’s ever dared to mess with me. Now you think you can just walk away? Too late!" Liu Hao snarled.

By now, he could see a crowd of people swarming up the embankment—all of them were his guys from the vocational school.

Liu Yutong had noticed them too. Her earlier suggestion to leave had been a test to see if Liu Hao was willing to let bygones be bygones and avoid future trouble.

But clearly, he wasn’t interested in peace.

In that case, to prevent future retaliation, the only solution was to deal with him permanently.

"Ma Da, keep an eye on the young miss."

Yun Cheng watched as the group approached, his expression turning cold and fearless.

The others felt the same.

As members of the Righteous Union, they’d seen it all. A bunch of student thugs, even if they were adults, couldn’t intimidate them in the slightest.

"Don’t worry, I’ll protect the young miss. Brother Yun, take it easy—don’t break anyone too badly." Ma Da nodded and escorted Liu Yutong to a safe spot.

Meanwhile, Yun Cheng led the remaining dozen or so men straight toward the nearly thirty student thugs armed with various weapons.

Liu Hao had now regrouped with his lackeys.

"Beat them to death! I’ll cover all your internet café bills today!"

The moment he finished speaking, the reckless student thugs charged at Yun Cheng’s group, swinging metal pipes and whatever else they had.

Liu Hao could already picture them all beaten to the ground, begging for mercy.

Sure, these guys looked tougher, but they were unarmed and outnumbered two to one.

The advantage was his!

"Only this many? We’ve got the upper hand—take them down!" Yun Cheng shouted, pulling a telescopic baton from his sleeve and flicking it open with a sharp snap.

The others followed suit, brandishing their own batons in unison.

Seeing the sudden appearance of weapons, Liu Hao’s eye twitched, but he still roared, "Kill them!"

Yet the moment the two sides clashed, the difference between real gangsters and these amateur thugs became painfully obvious.

Whether it was experience in brawls or sheer ferocity, the student thugs—who only stuck together out of empty bravado and had never seen real action—were quickly knocked down in droves.

Yun Cheng fought like a war god, charging ahead and taking down one opponent after another with a single strike. He even plunged straight into the heart of the enemy ranks, wreaking havoc.

Liu Yutong stared in awe. "Yun Cheng is this strong?!"

Ma Da grinned proudly. "Of course, young miss. Brother Yun is the Righteous Union’s rising enforcer. Even unarmed, he can take on seven or eight guys—maybe even a dozen—without breaking a sweat."

"Young miss, want some chips?" Noticing her habit of snacking during spectacles, he pulled out the unfinished snacks and offered her a freshly opened bag.

Liu Yutong shook her head. "You have them. I’m done."

As much as she loved chips, eating too many would make her gain weight.

"Then I won’t hold back." Ma Da immediately grabbed a handful and munched away happily.

He ate much faster than Liu Yutong ever could.

But before he could finish the bag, Yun Cheng had already wrapped things up.

Including Liu Hao’s original group, nearly thirty guys were now sprawled on the ground, clutching their arms or legs and moaning in pain.

"Hold the line!"

"Hold it, damn it!"

"Hold my ass! You’re all useless!" Liu Hao screamed in despair.

Yun Cheng strode up to him with his men.

The moment Liu Hao saw them coming, he dropped to his knees. "Brother, I was wrong! I swear I was wrong!"

"Had enough?" Yun Cheng asked coldly.

Liu Hao nodded frantically. "Enough! More than enough. Here, let me sing for you!"

"Just like this, you’ve conquered me,

Cut off all retreat,

My heart stands firm,

My judgment’s a blur..."

As he sang, he noticed the tattoos on Yun Cheng and his men’s arms—a single character: Righteousness.

His heart nearly stopped.

Unlike his naive underlings, Liu Hao had seen a thing or two in his time.

That was the mark of the Righteous Union, a notorious gang from Bright Pearl City—a real organized crime syndicate with thousands of members.

Sure, he’d heard their leader had died recently, sparking internal strife over succession.

The authorities had stepped in, arresting and sentencing a bunch of them, leaving the gang weakened.

But even a dying camel is bigger than a horse. Dealing with small fries like them was still child’s play.

Now he deeply regretted not asking about their background before picking a fight.

Damn it, he’d really kicked an iron plate this time!

Just as Liu Hao was pouring his heart into the song, the distant wail of police sirens cut through the air.

Everyone froze in shock—even Yun Cheng’s group.

But Liu Hao’s heart leaped with hope.

Salvation! They were saved!

Those cops were definitely here to arrest these Righteous Union thugs.

After all, the territory of the Righteous Union Society was entirely in Bright Pearl City, with no presence developed in Wushui County.

Now, suddenly, so many members of the Righteous Union Society appeared in Wushui County—they were undoubtedly fugitives.

Talk about a stroke of luck!

Originally, Liu Hao had thought he was doomed, given that he had offended the Righteous Union Society.

Broken legs, severed fingers, or worse—being thrown into the river—were all possibilities.

In short, even if he survived, he’d be skinned alive.

But now, with the cops suddenly showing up, things were different.

Liu Hao could already picture the fate awaiting these men.

Just as he was imagining how to get back at that little brat Liu Yutong, who had played him for a fool, once these guys were arrested—

Suddenly.

A pair of shiny silver handcuffs snapped around his wrists.

Liu Hao was completely stunned.

Wait—what?

Wrong guy!

They’re the real gangsters here!

Since when did Wushui County’s justice turn so blind?!
