Yunyang quickly shook off the dirty thoughts in her head. "Lady You Lu, I'll go with you."
To become one of You Lu's beast-husbands, it went without saying that those males' ability levels wouldn't be low.
But You Lu had just used up a considerable amount of mental energy to help her, and she might not be able to bring all her beast-husbands' contamination values down below 90 at the same time.
A flicker of confusion appeared in You Lu's eyes.
But seeing that Yunyang had no intention of explaining, she didn't press further.
You Lu nodded and led her beast-husbands back to the airship.
Yunyang and her group also returned to their own airship.
Both airships started up simultaneously, heading for the purification tower in the distance, and landed at the same time.
At this moment, the area outside the purification tower was packed with people layered three deep—both supervisors from inside the tower and members of the First Army.
After both airships landed, the lead executive officer of the First Army stepped forward to greet them.
He saluted the two females stepping out of the cabins before speaking. "Ladies, there's been a small incident inside the purification tower, and it's not convenient to enter at the moment."
Before Yunyang and You Lu could respond, Jenkins hurried over from behind.
"Executive Monroe, the beastman who escaped has been found and has already returned to a normal state."
"We have Lady Yunyang and Lady You Lu to thank for that!"
Monroe's stern gaze landed on Jenkins, lingered only briefly, then withdrew.
He saluted Yunyang and You Lu once more. "Forgive my rudeness. Ladies, please, right this way."
You Lu couldn't wait to enter the purification tower. Thanks to her marks, she could vaguely sense where her beast-husbands were, so she headed straight for the elevator.
Yunyang followed with her five beast-husbands in tow.
Even though the crisis had been resolved, Jenkins didn't dare let his guard down. He led a group of supervisors to guard the two females closely every step of the way.
At the same time, he relayed to Leo that Pei Wenye had been restored to normal.
However, since two ladies with S-grade mental strength had entered the purification tower, he didn't lift the highest-level defense protocol right away.
The elevator in the purification tower was spacious enough that even with this many people, it didn't feel crowded.
You Lu pressed the button for floor 76.
The elevator arrived at its destination quickly, and she stepped out eagerly, searching floor 76 for traces of her beast-husbands.
The males here had high contamination values and extremely unstable emotions, occasionally going mad and howling.
At that moment, as if sensing a familiar presence, the four males in the room on the right suddenly quieted down.
You Lu followed her marks to find them.
Jenkins, who had been following close behind, finally understood why You Lu had suddenly paid a visit to the purification tower.
Those four males—weren't they all Lady You Lu's beast-husbands?!
Jenkins stepped forward. "Lady You Lu, their contamination values are all between 95 and 97. Still not too bad."
Hearing the specific numbers, You Lu breathed a sigh of relief.
"Please arrange for my beast-husbands to be held together."
"One moment, please." Jenkins immediately directed the supervisors behind him to act.
The supervisors escorted the four males into the same supervision room and brought out restraint chairs from their space pouches, binding the four males securely.
Yunyang hadn't said anything the whole way, but just as You Lu was about to administer a collective purification to the four males, she quietly cast a blessing over her—
Just earlier on the airship, she had used a third-grade insect core to replenish her ability expenditure.
The blessing now took effect on You Lu, lasting a full ten minutes.
As if sensing something, You Lu cast a thoughtful glance at her.
Yunyang responded with a smile.
You Lu smiled back, then walked into the supervision room under the protection of her beast-husbands and the supervisors.
She stood by the doorway and extended her mental energy to purify the four beast-husbands.
Yunyang didn't go inside; she stood outside, watching You Lu's movements with curiosity.
You Lu's method of collective purification differed from hers—her mental energy didn't enter the males' mental landscapes but only enveloped them from the outside.
When Yunyang had been cramming on her light brain earlier, she hadn't come across this method.
She observed carefully.
Her five beast-husbands stood by her side, tactfully not disturbing her.
Ten minutes later, You Lu's mental energy was down to only 10%.
She retracted her mental energy and turned to look at Jenkins.
Jenkins caught on immediately and arranged for supervisors to check the contamination values.
"Contamination value: 89."
"Contamination value: 89."
"Contamination value: 88."
"Contamination value: 87."
All four males' contamination values had dropped below 90, a result that even You Lu herself hadn't expected.
All told, she had only expended 42% of her mental energy, and these four beast-husbands were all S-grade ability users. During her usual collective purifications for them, the results had never been this good.
Just now... she thought she sensed an ability fluctuation.
Could it be Lady Yunyang's ability?
According to federal records, females with S-grade mental strength had a higher probability of also awakening an ability. Perhaps Lady Yunyang was one of those noble females who had awakened not only S-grade mental strength but also an ability.
You Lu didn't press for details. If Lady Yunyang wanted her to know, she wouldn't have used her ability on her covertly just now.
She stepped out of the supervision room, and Yu Wenxu took out four inhibitor syringes, injecting one into each of the four males.
What came next was simple. Since the four males had their female masters, they could leave the purification tower right after receiving the injections.
You Lu didn't bother with such trivial matters. She stepped back beside Yunyang, her gaze warm.
"Lady Yunyang, please don't barge into an out-of-control male's mental landscape like that again."
Even for an S-grade mental strength holder, doing so could result in lethal harm in such circumstances.
"The situation was urgent." Yunyang thought back to the scene—if she hadn't barged into Pei Wenye's mental landscape, Fu Shiyi's shoulder would likely have been run through.
You Lu looked at her with slight confusion.
"Lady Yunyang, did you not know? We females with S-grade mental strength can use another method of purification."
This hit the nail on the head for Yunyang.
She immediately nodded, then said with a hint of embarrassment, "My mother's mental strength was only B-grade. She never taught me these things."
You Lu recalled when she had just awakened her own mental strength—she, too, had only known the traditional method of entering males' mental landscapes to purify contamination.
That was the most conventional approach and the most efficient.
Later, it was only after meeting Chu Zhiwei by chance that she learned another method that only females with S-grade mental strength could use.
If one never crossed paths with another S-grade mental strength female, it was entirely possible to be completely unaware of the alternative method.
She took Yunyang's hand.
"Lady Yunyang, come with me."
Jenkins was observant enough to pick up on this immediately. He hurried over. "Ladies, allow me to take you to my office area."
You Lu nodded. Her airship wouldn't have been able to accommodate Lady Yunyang and her five beast-husbands, either.
Jenkins led the way at the front, the two females followed closely, and their beast-husbands trailed at the rear.
Yu Wenxu had finished handling the trivial matters. He looked at Pei Wenye. "You're of the Jiaolong clan. Why did you end up on the desolate H2271 wasteland planet?"
