Yunyang and You Lu both found it strange.
The sisters exchanged a glance, and Yunyang spoke first. “Mr. Jenkins, you can just say what you have to say.”
You Lu nodded in agreement.
“This male’s ability level is extremely high.” As he spoke, Mr. Jenkins studied their reactions. “Even if the two of you worked together, purifying him might still prove very difficult.”
Yunyang: “?”
You Lu: “??”
The two of them had been able to save even an SSS-ranked male with a contamination level of one hundred when they worked together. Mr. Jenkins knew that.
Yet he still put it this way. Just how high was the other party’s ability level?
Yunyang guessed, “An SSS-ranked ability user?”
Mr. Jenkins nodded silently.
An S-ranked female could indeed purify an SSS-ranked ability user, but the gap between their levels was simply too great. The effect might not even be one-tenth of what it would be when facing an S-ranked ability user.
You Lu let out a soft hiss.
To be honest, she had been awakened to her ability for a full eight years, yet she had never actually helped an SSS-ranked ability user with purification.
The main reason was that there were simply too few ability users of that level in the Federation, and a large proportion of them already had female partners.
For example, He Youchuan, whom she had met before, had offered himself to the Empress as soon as he awakened his ability.
There were no level restrictions when it came to bonding with a female. Even an A-ranked female could purify an SSS-ranked ability user’s contamination without any difficulty after bonding with him.
Those SSS-ranked ability users had no need to seek help from other females.
The remaining ones who had no female partners rarely came to her either. After all, the purification effect was far too weak; they might as well rely on suppressants to keep themselves going.
You Lu looked at Yunyang. “Yangyang, what do you think?”
This time, the two of them would have to purify him together.
Yunyang thought for a moment. “What is his ability?”
If his ability was powerful enough, that SSS-ranked ability user would definitely be the Commander of the Third Army.
But as far as she knew, Wu Zhengming, the commander of the Third Army, was only an SS-ranked ability user.
Seeing that there might be hope, Mr. Jenkins did not conceal anything. “Area-of-effect group defense.”
As a member of the Federation military, Qin Mo immediately understood how important someone with that ability would be on the battlefield when he heard it.
Area-of-effect group defense—and at the SSS level, no less. Such an ability could prevent countless casualties.
Yunyang and You Lu understood as well. No wonder Mr. Jenkins had known they had already conducted a mass purification today and had still asked them to come.
Yunyang nodded. “I can do it.”
You Lu naturally would not refuse either. “I need at least an hour to recover my mental strength.”
The gap between their levels was simply too great. If she did not restore her mental strength to its peak, she would not feel confident.
“Of course, that’s no problem!” Mr. Jenkins nodded vigorously, suppressing the elation in his heart. “Then shall I come back for the two of you in two hours?”
Yunyang and You Lu both said that would be fine.
Before leaving, Mr. Jenkins did not forget to ask, “Lady Yunyang, shall I have the two people who made individual purification appointments come tomorrow instead?”
“No need. I’ll purify them first.”
With Fuyuan helping her recover, Yunyang still had fifty percent of her mental strength left—enough for the task.
Mr. Jenkins was deeply moved. Lady Yunyang was truly magnificent.
He first returned a message to Wu Zhengming, then opened the appointment website and transferred ten million Federation credits and one million military merits each to Yunyang and You Lu in his own name.
Yunyang paid no attention to the transfer notification on her photon brain. She purified the two SS-ranked males as quickly as possible, then pulled Pei Wenye along to restore her mental strength.
There was little time and a heavy task ahead, so only Pei Wenye, whose compatibility with her was the highest, could help.
Pei Wenye put in every effort and directly helped Yunyang restore her mental strength to its peak.
Two hours later, Mr. Jenkins appeared outside the lounge right on time.
Yunyang had already withdrawn from Pei Wenye’s mental landscape. Since they had just finished, the afterglow had not yet faded from her eyes.
Pei Wenye’s throat tightened at the sight. Unable to resist, he leaned over and kissed her lips again.
Her other beast husbands stood guard outside and did not allow Mr. Jenkins to disturb them.
Inside the lounge, Pei Wenye was worried that he might lose control, so he did not dare to let the kiss last too long.
Yunyang straightened her clothes before leading Pei Wenye out of the lounge.
Almost at the same time, the door to the lounge next door opened as well. You Lu and Yu Wenxu walked out.
It looked as though Yu Wenxu had the highest genetic compatibility with Lulu.
No wonder the other beast husbands in Lulu’s family had no desire to compete for her favor. They could not beat Yu Wenxu in compatibility, ability level, or even the emotional foundation he shared with Lulu.
Tsk.
If she were one of Lulu’s beast husbands, she would probably give up too when faced with such a rival.
The moment You Lu saw Yunyang, she abandoned Yu Wenxu and came over to link arms with her.
Only then did Yunyang interrupt her own train of bizarre thoughts.
The sisters looked toward Mr. Jenkins together.
He understood immediately. After clearing his throat, he said, “Ladies, please follow me.”
The SSS-ranked ability user’s contamination level was far too high. By now, he could no longer maintain his human form, so he had not been sent to the purification room on the fiftieth floor.
Mr. Jenkins led the sisters and their beast husbands to the containment room on the seventy-eighth floor.
When the small window in the heavy door opened, Yunyang and You Lu saw the male inside at the same time.
Yunyang froze after just one glance.
Wait. Why did that enormous creature inside look so much like the qilin she had only ever seen online in her previous life?
Was this really okay?
The qilin was incredibly beautiful. Although its enormous size gave off an oppressive air, that could not conceal its beauty.
The corner of Yunyang’s eye twitched. At first, she had thought it was absurd for a qilin to appear in the interstellar era, but then she thought about her own beast husbands. Fu Shiyi was a golden-winged roc, Pei Wenye was a jiao capable of transforming into a dragon, and Leonardo was a nine-tailed fox.
When she put it that way, it did not seem quite so outrageous anymore…
You Lu was not particularly interested in such a massive creature. After taking one look, she said to Mr. Jenkins, “Open the door.”
“Please step back a little, ladies.”
Mr. Jenkins led fifty containment officers forward. After making sure that the two ladies could not be injured immediately even if the qilin charged out, he scanned his authorization and opened the door.
“Authorization verified. Please enter.”
The heavy door gave a polite creak before slowly opening.
The fifty containment officers immediately rushed into the purification room and used restraint nets to bind the qilin.
Yunyang truly experienced the power of an SSS-ranked ability user firsthand.
The last time she had been invited to purify Chen Yueli, there had only been a total of thirty people from the containment team and the tourism bureau.
She grabbed You Lu’s hand and immediately used her blessing ability on both of them.
Protected by their beast husbands, the sisters entered the containment room.
The enormous qilin lashed its tail and swept its scarlet eyes over the two females.
He was already on the verge of completely losing his reason, but perhaps the sheer number of people around him intimidated him. He made no move.
Fu Shiyi leaned closer to Yunyang and said in a low voice, “Female Master, his contamination level is already at ninety-nine.”
Yunyang nodded in understanding and sat down with You Lu in the chairs prepared by the containment officers.
When facing an SSS-ranked ability user, purification without physical contact was far too inefficient. Thus, the two of them released their mental strength at the same time and invaded the qilin’s mental landscape.
