Traveling Back to Ancient Times, an Eight-Year-Old Farm Girl Takes Her Sister to Conquer the World

Chapter 107

The sisters, Xi Qingyue and Xi Weilan, continued their conversation as though no one else was around, infuriating Wei Da. They clearly did not take him seriously at all.

Pointing at the two girls, he barked at the guards behind him, “Arrest them immediately and take them back to my residence.”

As soon as he finished speaking, the guards behind him advanced menacingly and surrounded them.

The guard accompanying Xi Qingyue and Xiaolian immediately stepped in front of the sisters, both of them looking tense.

The guard quietly instructed Xiaolian, “I’ll hold them off. You take the others and break through. As soon as you reach the street, where the patrolling Imperial Guards are stationed, shout for help. For the sake of their authority, they’ll have to intervene.”

But at that moment, Xi Qingyue pulled the two of them behind her. The sudden force sent them stumbling, and they nearly fell. Both stared at her in shock.

“Just stand there and don’t move. Don’t get in the way.”

After hearing Xi Qingyue’s words, the two wore expressions of disbelief, almost wondering if they had heard her incorrectly.

Xi Weilan added from behind, “Come sit over here. You’re blocking my view.”

While Xiaolian and the guard were still dumbfounded, Xi Weilan hurried over. She grabbed one sleeve in each hand and tugged them backward. Caught off guard, Xiaolian let out a cry of “Oof!” as she fell flat on her back.

“Ow!” Her head was still spinning. How could both sisters be so strong? She had managed to avoid one of them, only to be taken down by the other.

Xi Weilan stared at her now-empty hands in confusion. She had only given Xiaolian a casual pull—how had she ended up sprawled on the floor?

The guard beside them was also staring in utter astonishment. Yet what happened next shocked him even more.

As the guards advanced, Xi Qingyue swiftly drew the long sword from her waist. With one sudden slash, she sent the head of the leading guard tumbling to the ground.

Wei Da’s pupils widened at the sight, followed immediately by a surge of rage. “How dare you kill one of my men! Seize her! I’ll hang her up and carve her to pieces!”

The other guards glared furiously at Xi Qingyue. They assumed the little girl had killed their comrade only because she had caught him off guard, and they did not consider her a threat at all.

One after another, they drew their blades and charged at Xi Qingyue. She stood where she was and let out a cold laugh before moving.

When the men rushed her again, she leaped into the air with her sword in hand. Like a fleeting shadow, she swept her blade back and forth, darting through the air with such speed that Xiaolian and the guard could barely follow her movements. They rubbed their eyes repeatedly, afraid they were seeing things.

Xi Weilan sat in a chair, eating a pastry with great enjoyment. Her little face was filled with admiration.

Her big sister was incredible!

In the blink of an eye, more than a dozen corpses lay scattered across the floor. Only Wei Da remained standing, trembling from head to toe. At some point, a puddle had appeared beneath his feet.

His face was deathly pale, and his lips quivered as he stammered, “Don’t kill me. You can’t kill me! My grandfather is the Grand Tutor, my aunt is Consort De, and my father…”

Before he could finish, Xi Qingyue brought her sword down on his left knee and muttered unhappily, “What a nuisance.”

“Ahhh!”

His agonized, pig-like scream echoed throughout the entire restaurant. The people gathered outside the sisters’ room were frozen in terror, while those who came running after hearing the commotion let out horrified shrieks. The entire restaurant descended into chaos.

Xiaolian covered her mouth with both hands, her eyes wide with shock. Just moments ago, she had been worried that Wei Da would take the sisters away. In the blink of an eye, everything had changed so drastically.

The guard beside her was equally incredulous. He remembered that Wei Da’s men had been hired from the martial world. How had they just been slaughtered like chickens? Had he remembered incorrectly?

Then he witnessed something even more terrifying.

Xi Weilan, who had been eating pastries, suddenly set hers down and ran over to Wei Da. She crouched beside him and, ignoring his screams of pain, began rummaging through his clothes.

Before long, she pulled out several banknotes and beamed happily.

“Help me!” Wei Da screamed. His leg felt as though it had been broken.

Xi Weilan kicked him once, then ran over to Xi Qingyue with the banknotes in hand. “Big sister, this is for you.”

Xi Qingyue smiled, accepted the notes, and gently patted her on the head. “Big sister will keep them for you. Whenever you want to buy something, just ask me.”

“Okay, big sister. I understand.”

The sisters’ utterly natural exchange sent chills through everyone around them.

Could two children really do and say things like that?

The onlookers instinctively took several steps backward, feeling that it would be safer to stay as far away from the two girls as possible.

Xiaolian stared at the corpses on the floor, her heart beginning to race. After killing so many people, what would they do when the Imperial Guards arrived to arrest them? There was no way she and the others could stop them.

And if Xi Qingyue fought the Imperial Guards as well, would the Seventh Princess be able to protect her?

With that thought, Xiaolian hurriedly picked up Xi Weilan, planning to get everyone back to the residence first.

The guard beside her had the same idea. They needed to get the girls to safety. The princess would find a way to deal with whatever happened afterward; there was no way two servants like them could shoulder the consequences.

But before they could call out to Xi Qingyue and urge her to leave, she planted one foot on Wei Da’s chest and sneered, “Still feeling arrogant? Still want me to be your maid? You’re nothing but a spineless weakling. Do you think you’re worthy?”

Wei Da had never suffered such humiliation in his life. The pain left sweat beading on his forehead. He had never imagined that he would fall into the hands of a child.

All he wanted now was to get away and see a doctor. As for revenge, he would eventually tear these two little brats to pieces.

Xi Qingyue caught the hatred and venom in his eyes and let out a cold laugh. She would never let someone who intended to take revenge on her live.

With a single sweep of her sword, Wei Da’s head fell to the ground before the eyes of everyone present.

Another wave of screams and panicked footsteps erupted throughout the restaurant. Xiaolian was so frightened that she picked up Xi Weilan and shouted, “Run! If we don’t leave now, we won’t be able to get away!”

She ran ahead with Xi Weilan in her arms, while the guard pulled Xi Qingyue along behind them. Before long, they had escaped the restaurant and reached their carriage.

Once Xiaolian had brought the two girls aboard, the guard flicked the reins, sending the carriage racing away from the restaurant.

Inside the carriage, Xiaolian patted her chest in relief. “Thank goodness there weren’t any Imperial Guards patrolling this street. Otherwise, we might not have escaped so easily.”

Xi Qingyue rolled her eyes. Did she even need to run?

In the past, she might have shown some restraint, but as her supernatural ability grew stronger, she had become completely fearless. If someone like Wei Da came after her, she could kill as many of them as it took.

They always said that the capital’s spoiled young masters could never be completely wiped out. It seemed they were right.

“Xiaolian, what are you afraid of? I was the one who killed them. If we run into the patrolling Imperial Guards, you can go back to the residence. I’ll handle it.”

Xiaolian immediately shook her head. “The princess ordered us to keep you safe. I can’t just run away on my own.”

Xi Qingyue shook her head. “Forget it. Next time, don’t come along. We can go out by ourselves, Weilan and I. Having so many people with us is too troublesome.”
