With that, Bo Jinghuai turned to leave, but his wrist was suddenly grabbed.
He looked down to see a small hand holding his wrist.
Such a tiny hand, with slender fingers and pale pink nails, could only barely encircle half of his wrist.
Following it upward was a slender wrist, white as snow, with the wrist bone slightly prominent.
So delicate and soft.
An unbidden thought popped into his head: his... was thicker than her wrist.
Bo Jinghuai closed his eyes briefly, pushing aside the indecent thoughts.
When he opened them again, his gaze met her face.
Su Jingsheng was looking up at him, her eyes wide and round.
She really was beautiful.
Much more beautiful than three years ago.
The former arrogant, domineering air was gone, replaced by a kind of timid purity.
Yet the corners of her eyes tilted up slightly, and when she looked at someone, there was an unconscious allure about her.
Purity and desire mixed together.
It was utterly devastating.
Bo Jinghuai, helplessly, stared at her, looking again and again, unable to tear his eyes away.
"Jinghuai~" Su Jingsheng spoke, her voice soft.
"It's so late, I'm scared to go home alone."
Bo Jinghuai didn't speak. Su Jingsheng leaned in a little closer.
She reached out with her other hand, both small hands together finally managing to wrap around his wrist.
Su Jingsheng gently swayed his arm, acting coquettishly.
"Will you walk me home?" she asked, tilting her face up, her eyes glistening, her lips slightly pouted.
"Just to the building entrance, okay?"
Bo Jinghuai stared at her, a war raging in his mind.
On one hand, he was so taken in by her face, by this act of hers, that his heartbeat was a little erratic.
On the other hand, reason was screaming wildly:
This is Su Jingsheng, that Su Jingsheng who despised the poor and fawned on the rich, who looked down on everyone. What she's doing now is just an act, playing pitiful.
But...
The way she looked up at him was so obedient.
And that sweet scent of her pheromones kept drifting into his nose.
So fragrant.
Maddeningly good.
Bo Jinghuai took a deep breath.
"Let go," he said, his voice a bit hoarse.
Su Jingsheng shook her head: "I won't."
She held on tighter.
"If you don't agree to walk me, I won't let go," she said, a hint of grievance in her voice.
"I'm really scared."
Bo Jinghuai stared at her for several seconds.
Then, he raised his other hand and covered the back of her hands.
His hand was large, completely covering both of hers, and he pulled them off his wrist.
The motion wasn't rough, but it was firm.
Su Jingsheng was pulled away, her hands falling to her sides, her eyes instantly reddening.
It wasn't an act.
She was genuinely a bit anxious, a film of moisture clouding her eyes.
Her voice carried a sob, "Do you hate me that much?"
Bo Jinghuai looked at her reddened eyes, and his heart inexplicably clenched.
He averted his gaze.
"It's not hate," he said, his tone still cold. "It's that I don't want to be involved with you."
Su Jingsheng sniffled, "But I want to be involved with you."
She said softly, "I regret it, Jinghuai. It was my fault back then. I was blind."
Bo Jinghuai cut her off: "Saying that now is useless."
He paused, then added, "Besides, didn't you like rich people? I have money now, but I don't want to be a fool."
Su Jingsheng shook her head: "It's not because you have money that I..."
"Then why?" Bo Jinghuai looked at her. "Because of this face? Or because I'm now the young master of the Bo family?"
Su Jingsheng opened her mouth but couldn't find the words.
Bo Jinghuai let out a derisive laugh. "See?"
"You can't even say it yourself."
He turned to leave again, but the sleeve of his shirt was tugged once more.
This time, the pull was very light.
Bo Jinghuai looked back.
Su Jingsheng was looking down, her fingers pinching a small piece of fabric from his sleeve.
"It's because of pheromones," she whispered, her voice so soft it was almost inaudible. "My pheromones... only react to you."
Bo Jinghuai's movements halted.
Su Jingsheng looked up, her eyes red, her eyelashes damp.
"After I presented, whenever other Alphas got close, I felt nauseous, like I wanted to vomit."
She took a small step forward, closer to him. "Only you. Only when you're near, I don't feel sick."
Su Jingsheng's voice was impossibly soft. "My pheromones like you."
"I can't even control it myself."
Bo Jinghuai stared at her for a long time, so long that Su Jingsheng thought he was going to refuse again.
Then, Bo Jinghuai suddenly reached out, his fingers lifting her chin, forcing her to tilt her head even higher.
"Su Jingsheng," he said, his voice low and husky. "Do you have any idea how dangerous it is for you to say things like that?"
"How dangerous?" Su Jingsheng asked bravely, her voice small.
Bo Jinghuai didn't answer, just kept staring at her.
Then he suddenly turned, pushed open the door to the empty private room next to them, and pulled Su Jingsheng inside, closing the door behind him with his other hand.
Before Su Jingsheng could react, Bo Jinghuai had already grasped her waist, lifted her lightly, and directly set her on top of a table.
The table was a bit high. Sitting on it, her feet couldn't reach the floor and dangled in the air.
Bo Jinghuai stepped forward, his whole body fitting between her legs.
He was much taller than her. Even seated on the table, he still had to look down at her.
Su Jingsheng looked up, her eyes wide and round, watching him.
Bo Jinghuai cupped the back of her head with one hand, lowered his head, and captured her lower lip, sucking on it gently, again and again.
So soft. Softer than he had imagined.
The sweet scent on her became clearer, mingling with the warmth of her breath, flooding into his nostrils.
Bo Jinghuai's mind felt a little dizzy from the fragrance. Even though he was tasting her rosy, tender mouth, it felt like he couldn't get enough.
His other hand slid down from the back of her head to grip her chin, forcing her mouth to open wider.
Su Jingsheng furrowed her brows, her eyes reddening, but she obediently parted her lips, letting him kiss her.
Her tongue was soft and small, evading shyly, but in the end, he caught it, tasting it deeply, again and again.
Bo Jinghuai tasted an even stronger sweetness.
He kissed her for a while before pulling back slightly.
Both of their breaths were ragged.
Su Jingsheng was kissed into a daze, her almond-shaped eyes hazy, her lips red and swollen, slightly parted as she gasped for air.
Bo Jinghuai stared at her. Then, he lowered his head, burying his face in the crook of her neck, and took a deep breath.
He felt relieved. Very relieved.
The pheromones that had been restless all day were actually just... suppressed like this.
Just from kissing her, tasting a bit of her sweetness, it was more effective than taking a suppressant.
Bo Jinghuai lifted his head, looking at her and thinking: I wonder what their compatibility rate is. It must be very high.
Su Jingsheng was still blushing and panting, her eyes watery.
He straightened up, took a step back, and withdrew from between her knees.
Su Jingsheng remained sitting on the table, her dangling calves swaying gently.
Bo Jinghuai straightened his shirt, which had gotten wrinkled from her grip, wiped the corner of his mouth with his thumb, and looked at the girl he had kissed into a daze. He couldn't bring himself to be the scoundrel who just walked away after that.
"Address," he said.
Su Jingsheng was confused. "...Huh?"
"Your home address." Bo Jinghuai's voice regained some of its coolness. "I'll take you back."
Su Jingsheng lowered her head, her fingers twisting the fabric of her skirt.
"I... I don't want to go back to my own place," she said quietly.
Bo Jinghuai frowned. "Then where do you want to go?"
Su Jingsheng looked up, her eyes reddening again.
She reached out her hand to him, her voice soft and trembling with tears. "I want to go home with you."
Bo Jinghuai stared at that delicate face, no larger than his palm, and felt something inside him snap.
"Su Jingsheng," he said, his voice turning cold.
"We've only just met for the first time, and you want to go home with a man?"
He took a step forward, reaching out to grip her chin, forcing her to look up at him.
"How can you be so forward?" Bo Jinghuai stared down at her.
"Have you done this with other men before? Hmm?"
