Qi Xu quickly realized that this wasn’t a case of parallel roads intersecting—two people had simultaneously used Player Tracking Cards on him.
Qi Xu swiftly opened his light screen to check.
The chat lobby appeared normal.
He then glanced at the avatars of Chi Kuang’s group. Sure enough, Fiercely Do and Red-Hearted Dragonfruit’s icons had turned dark.
Given that he’d only had conflicts with them, identifying the culprits wasn’t hard.
Qi Xu raised an eyebrow slightly. I hadn’t even gone after you yet, and you came for me first?
He examined all the items in his backpack, debating whether to use a Site Designation Card to visit the Monster Shop and try his luck at obtaining more Player Tracking Cards.
Or perhaps he should head straight to the Monster Commission Center and spend some money to eliminate those guys in advance.
Meanwhile, in Chi Kuang’s group chat, the remaining four members were already panicking.
Storm Dragon King: “Holy shit, they’re dead?! They just said they found Invincible Black Tornado, and in less than a minute, both of them got wiped out? What useless trash!”
Chi Kuang: “What a waste of my two Tracking Cards and Stealth Cards! Idiots! And they had the nerve to brag about killing people before joining the game! Not to mention all those resources for upgrading their Level 3 vehicles—were these two pigs?! I should’ve kept them for myself!”
Poisonous Love Trap: “I don’t get it. Is Invincible Black Tornado really that strong? Two people ambushed him while invisible, armed with guns, and they got taken out in under a minute? That doesn’t make sense!”
Chi Kuang: “If they’re dead, at least they should’ve sent some intel back. Worthless trash—their deaths were completely pointless!”
Storm Dragon King: “Quick, check the chat lobby! Invincible Black Tornado just tagged us!”
On his way, Qi Xu had been thinking about making an example out of someone to deter future troublemakers. Now, someone had handed him the perfect opportunity.
So instead of immediately collecting the spoils, he first sent a message in the chat lobby.
Invincible Black Tornado: “@Chi Kuang How’s it feel? Wasted two Tracking Cards and two Stealth Cards, lost two underlings—must sting, huh? If you’ve got the guts to ambush me, I hope you’re ready to handle an ambush yourselves.”
Invincible Black Tornado: “Buying Tracking Cards at a high price—trading Green Fur Suits or Crafting Tables.”
Blessed by Luck: “Whoa, what’s going on?! The boss is pissed! Even when he’s mad, he’s still flexing! Whoever’s got Tracking Cards just hit the jackpot!”
Light Fills the World: “@Invincible Black Tornado You killed people? Chi Kuang’s two friends’ icons are dark. How could you do that? It’s illegal, you know! Just because it’s a game doesn’t mean you can act lawlessly!”
Sweet Donut: “And now he’s openly threatening to keep killing in the group chat… Oh my god, this is terrifying. Is he a psychopath or just addicted to murder?”
Player 1111: “???”
Vitamin C: “Here’s how I see it: Chi Kuang sent two people to ambush Invincible Black Tornado, and Tornado counter-killed them. That’s… fair, right? Should he have just waited to die?”
Blue Little Flower: “Counter-killing is one thing, but we don’t know if Chi Kuang actually ordered it… Not trying to stir the pot, but let’s hear Chi Kuang’s side before jumping to conclusions.”
Only then did Chi Kuang step in: “I just found out what happened. Boss, we’re terrified. We’re freezing to death—you won’t sell us winter coats or Green Fur Suits. Right now, survival’s a struggle.
How could we possibly dare to mess with you? We offended you before, but we’ll kneel and apologize, okay? Please, give ordinary folks a chance to live.”
Qi Xu raised an eyebrow, surprised the guy had suddenly gotten smarter.
Old White Dragon in the Waves: “You’re full of crap. Fiercely Do and Red-Hearted Dragonfruit have been following you since the game started. Now you’re pretending you didn’t know? Think we’re all idiots?”
Chi Kuang: “I really didn’t know. After our last conflict, we had a falling out. That’s the truth—take it or leave it.”
Qi Xu chuckled. This made things even easier.
Invincible Black Tornado: “Ah, I see. My apologies for the misunderstanding.”
Right then, Blessed by Luck smugly posted a photo of himself wearing the Green Fur Suit in the group chat. “Holy crap, guys, this is a steal! Hahaha, so warm I could roll around in the snow!”
Sweet Donut: “@Blessed by Luck Did you trade a Tracking Card with Tornado for that?”
Blessed by Luck: “Nope! The boss gave it to me ‘cause I’m adorable.”
Chi Kuang was now sweating bullets and hastily typed: “@Invincible Black Tornado I swear I didn’t order the ambush!”
Invincible Black Tornado: “I know. I didn’t buy any Tracking Cards—I’m not coming after you. Just thought Blessed by Luck here was cute.”
Blessed by Luck: “Yep, yep! Super cute, that’s me!”
Chi Kuang: “……”
No one’s buying this! Not even ghosts!
Chi Kuang hadn’t expected Invincible Black Tornado to be immune to both threats and flattery—or to openly call him out in the group chat.
Frantic, he scoured the trading hall for defensive gear, but good items like that were rarely sold.
He even reached out to stronger players he knew, including Old White Dragon in the Waves and Chinese Master Chef.
The latter not only ignored him but also sent a message to Golden Bell Armor Iron Shirt:
Chinese Master Chef: “If you sell your Bulletproof Undershirt Set to Chi Kuang, I’m never taking your orders again.”
Golden Bell Armor Iron Shirt paused. “Why? He offered me 10 Vehicle Upgrade Fragments… Never mind. Food’s more important. I’ll block him. Just keep cooking for me.”
Chinese Master Chef: “Good. I’ll fry you some crispy fish later.”
Golden Bell Armor Iron Shirt: “O(≧∇≦)O”
Meanwhile, Chi Kuang was like an ant hitting walls everywhere—desperate, unable to secure any armor, and resorting to buying weapons instead.
Qi Xu, on the other hand, was already on the move, wasting no time.
First, he sold the two damaged vehicles—the SUV with a crumpled front and the pickup truck with a shattered windshield.
Despite the heavy damage, their engines and parts were intact, and being Level 3 vehicles, they fetched a better price than expected: 344 Survival Coins for the SUV and 313 for the pickup. Their cargo was negligible, so no extra profit there.
But that didn’t matter. Qi Xu used a Tracking Card to lock onto Chi Kuang’s location. If he was going to make an example, he’d do it decisively—face to face.
