The entire day had been busy, leaving little time for travel. Qi Xu had only collected three supply crates and couldn’t even be bothered to step out of the vehicle—it was unbearably hot outside. Instead, he started unpacking them directly from the second floor.
The driver’s cabin and cargo area each had an AC unit, keeping the first floor comfortably cool. But the second floor, baked under the sun all day with its transparent glass roof, was nearly 20 degrees hotter.
If he had the means, Qi Xu wasn’t about to suffer.
He installed a blue ice-attribute crystal, finally making the air breathable again.
After the last team dungeon, Qi Xu felt stronger than ever. With his chainsaw and longsword combo, any lone monster wouldn’t last more than five seconds against his full power.
Unfortunately, today’s crate luck was mediocre—mostly basic supplies, which he’d stockpile for future vehicle upgrades.
The only standout was the temperature-regulating combat boots from a golden crate, which Qi Xu found extremely useful.
Once worn, it felt like tiny AC units were embedded in the shoes. Stepping outside, only his head remained uncomfortably hot.

Otherwise, it felt like his entire body was enjoying summer while his head was trapped in a steamer—an oddly jarring sensation.
He swapped his bedding for a cool-toned four-piece set, tossing the old one into the washer before hanging it on the second floor—plenty of sunlight for drying!
At bedtime, Qi Xu took out Little Seven’s pet nutrition pod.
"Here, Little Seven—your new home."
The little one obediently scampered inside, rolling onto its back with pure bliss.
Seeing how much the pet liked it, Qi Xu was relieved. Grow up strong, now.
Despite feeling like he hadn’t done much, Qi Xu was drenched in sweat. He soaked in the tub, relaxed in the massage chair, and yawned incessantly before blow-drying his hair and finally slipping under the covers.
The next time he opened his eyes, daylight was already flooding in... What a perfectly comfortable day.
Qi Xu lazed in bed for a while after waking up. Rushing up too fast might cause a blood clot or something... And just like that, he found the perfect excuse to linger under the sheets a little longer.
