Tonsils Never Speak: "Hello, can we make a deal? I have a Plunder Card here. If you agree to attack the God of Light and successfully kill him, I’ll give you the Plunder Card for free. But we’ll need to sign a contract—if you fail to kill him, you’ll have to compensate me with resources equivalent to the card’s value, though I won’t take the Plunder Card back. You can choose to do it yourself or hand the card to someone else. I’ve got nothing left except this Plunder Card. Even if you report me, I don’t care. I’ve already had enough of life. Yeah, I’m just throwing caution to the wind."
Qi Xu felt... this was like a pillow delivered just as he was dozing off. He agreed immediately, since he was planning to go after the God of Light anyway. Becoming the top player in Zone One now would mean plenty of resources, and getting a Plunder Card would be a huge advantage.
Invincible Black Tornado: "Fine, let’s sign the contract."
After a moment’s hesitation, Qi Xu sent over three cartons of pure milk and 25 boiled dumplings.
Tonsils Never Speak was stunned. The top player of Zone One, approached with such a reckless attitude, not only didn’t get angry but even sent resources?! It wasn’t until the dumplings reached his mouth that he couldn’t suppress the warmth surging in his chest.
After starting the vehicle, Qi Xu used a Tracking Card without any attempt to hide it.
His training during this time hadn’t been for nothing—a Level 5 vehicle was more than enough to crush a Level 4 one.
The two weren’t even in the same league. Not only was it bulletproof and collision-resistant, but its sheer size was something a Level 4 vehicle couldn’t compete with.
Qi Xu was absolutely certain of this.
Interestingly, right after using the Tracking Card, he received an alert from his Anti-Tracking Device.
[Player, be advised: Someone has used a Tracking Card on you. Please take precautions.]
Qi Xu’s intuition told him it was the "God of Light."
That was just his style—he always struck at exactly 6 a.m.
Sure enough, all that talk about scheduling a fight at 10 a.m. or going after other targets was just a smokescreen. His real target had always been the No. 1 player in Zone 666, the one who’d made multiple server-wide announcements—"Invincible Black Tornado."
Qi Xu grinned wryly. If you’d been just a minute earlier, I could’ve saved a Tracking Card!
He slowed the vehicle down slightly, casually collecting supply crates while calmly waiting.
Qi Xu even went to check on Little Seven in the cargo bed. The little guy was sprawled out on his back, belly up, instantly melting away all of Qi Xu’s aggression.
Sensing someone nearby, Little Seven opened his eyes and clumsily crawled over, happily nuzzling into Qi Xu’s arms.
Qi Xu quickly prepared food for the little one and even made him a toothbrush, gently brushing his teeth. Little Seven was incredibly obedient, keeping his mouth wide open and staying perfectly still.
Qi Xu’s movements were gentle, and the two cooperated seamlessly.
While Little Seven was eating, the screen broadcast a warning:
[Warning! An unknown player detected 1 kilometer ahead!]
Qi Xu placed Little Seven back in his nest.
"No matter what noises you hear, don’t run around. Understand?"
Little Seven nodded cutely. "Awoo!"
Qi Xu took two steps forward before turning back to emphasize, "I’m going out to fight, but his strength isn’t a threat to me. Your job is to eat well, stay hidden in the nest, and absolutely not leave the vehicle—and definitely don’t try to help. You’d just get in the way. Got it?"
Little Seven immediately nodded vigorously, patting his chest to promise he wouldn’t recklessly leave the vehicle and cause trouble!
Only then did Qi Xu feel at ease.
Newly hatched pets usually had low comprehension and were prone to impulsiveness, instinctively wanting to help when they sensed their owner was in danger.
Qi Xu didn’t need Little Seven’s help right now—and Little Seven wasn’t capable of helping yet.
That’s why he’d been so blunt.
Little Seven lay dejectedly in the nest, feeling like the beef jerky in his paws had lost its flavor, and even the milk didn’t taste as good...
He had to grow up fast. Otherwise, he’d be no help to his owner.
[Pet Little Seven’s loyalty has increased by 5%. Current loyalty: 25%.]
Hearing the notification, Qi Xu’s lips curled slightly. A soft-hearted little guy—they’d probably get along well.
Soon, Qi Xu felt the vehicle run over something. Checking the rearview mirror, he saw a line of broken nails.
Unfortunately for the ambusher, the Level 5 vehicle’s tires were exceptionally tough, crushing the nails into flat scraps without sustaining any damage.
Seeing this, the "God of Light" hesitated.
Though his personal combat skills were strong, his target had to actually step out of the vehicle first. This damn Level 5 monstrosity had turned nails into paste—he didn’t dare ram into it.
Spotting the silhouette of a car ahead, Qi Xu didn’t hesitate. He took the driver’s seat, disengaged the autopilot, and slammed the accelerator.
The God of Light reacted quickly, flooring his own pedal, but his RV was slow to begin with, and the level difference made it worse. Qi Xu caught up in no time.
With a fork in the road ahead, the God of Light abandoned all thoughts of attack, focusing solely on escape. He pushed the accelerator to the limit.
Qi Xu did the same, swiftly overtaking him before violently sideswiping his front fender, forcing him to a stop.
The God of Light pulled out a machine gun and unleashed a barrage at Qi Xu’s vehicle—
Not a single bullet mark was left on the glass.
After ensuring all his protective gear was in place, Qi Xu seized the moment to flip out of the vehicle from behind, firing several shots at the God of Light’s rear tires.
The God of Light had feared Qi Xu’s vehicle, but seeing him step out—a woman with a pretty face, no less—he instinctively thought, What an idiot. I couldn’t touch you in the car, but now that you’re out, you’re mine.
He quickly maneuvered his vehicle, aiming to run Qi Xu over!
Qi Xu knew exactly how to handle this. When a car charged head-on, the worst moves were retreating straight back or dodging left or right.
The best strategy was to time it right and dash toward the rear flank of the vehicle.
This was usually the driver’s blind spot, making it harder for them to adjust their trajectory. Plus, during a turn, the rear flank moved less, reducing the risk of being hit.
Qi Xu was fast and agile, leaving the God of Light struggling to land a hit.
Seeing Qi Xu’s vehicle parked by the roadside, not far from the black fog, the God of Light gritted his teeth and slammed the accelerator, aiming straight for it!
If he could destroy her vehicle, kill her current slave, free up the Enslavement Stone, and prevent her from being eliminated by the survival game for failing to complete the daily distance, he’d gain a beautiful new slave!
At this thought, a sinister, lecherous grin spread across the God of Light’s face...
