[Super Sweet]
On the day of the Mid-Autumn Festival, Su Zhenzhen and Mu Dan went down the mountain together.
Because it was a major festival, Jinling City was extremely bustling.
Su Zhenzhen got her wish and saw the massive Aoshan lantern.
It was a large lantern installation shaped like a giant sea turtle carrying a fairy mountain on its back. The base had several pillars, and the giant turtle's body above was framed with bamboo and wood, tied with colorful silk. A large number of small colored lanterns hung on the frame, decorated with branches and leaves of holly and pine.
At the very top was a small pavilion, symbolizing the golden terraces and jade pavilions of the fairy mountain, containing enshrined deities and Buddhas.
There were also people selling lanterns all around. Su Zhenzhen picked out a classic rabbit lantern to carry and asked Mu Dan beside her if he wanted one.
The young man, just like last time, stood in the least crowded area, leaning against the wall with his arms crossed. His gaze passed through the crowd and landed on Su Zhenzhen's face, seemingly confused as to why she liked mingling with the crowds so much.
Su Zhenzhen came back with a rabbit lantern. "Let's go buy some candied treats."
The candy shop was not far from here, and Su Zhenzhen led Mu Dan over.
As soon as the young man entered, he started sampling the treats.
Just like before, on top of each compartment of candied treats, there was a bamboo box and toothpicks, looking very much like food sampling in a modern shopping mall.
Some preserved fruits and candied plums were cut into small pieces, and some hard candies that couldn't be easily cut were smashed into pieces, which could be scooped up with disposable small bamboo spoons.
Su Zhenzhen took a closer look and noticed that the variety of candies in the shop had increased quite a bit.
"Little lady, you're here again, and you brought your husband along?" The boss was as hospitable as ever and introduced today's new product to Su Zhenzhen: the spun sugar rabbit his wife had newly molded.
"This is the rabbit pounding medicine."
"This is the heavenly dog eating the sun."
As the boss was introducing them, Lu Hexu, who was looking down and sampling the candied fruits, suddenly shot a glance in Su Zhenzhen's direction. Then, as if attracted by something, he walked over and pointed at the spun sugar of the heavenly dog eating the sun.
"This dog is really ugly."
Su Zhenzhen: ...
Boss: ...
Su Zhenzhen covered the young man's mouth. "We'll buy it."
The boss smiled. "We have freshly made spun sugar in the back. Do the little lady and little husband want to try molding some yourselves for fun? It only costs one hundred copper coins."
He really knows how to do business.
However, since they were out to have fun, compared to the crowded streets, Su Zhenzhen felt that Mu Dan might prefer staying in a place with fewer people.
"Then let's give it a try."
The boss invited the two into the inner courtyard. In the courtyard, the boss's wife was hanging red silk on the corridor.
"Boss, is there a happy occasion in your family?" Su Zhenzhen asked casually.
The boss looked left and right, especially toward the shop entrance behind him. Seeing that no one was coming in, he lowered his voice and said to Su Zhenzhen, "Hasn't the little lady heard? That Second Young Master Zhao from the Marquis of Ningyuan's residence is dead. How could we not celebrate such a joyous event? If I wasn't afraid of the Patrol Camp Commander's retaliation, I would have hung it right at the shop entrance."
"I heard that the one who eliminated this menace for us commoners is a young eunuch from the palace. He is only nineteen, not much older than my son. Truly a brilliant young talent." The boss praised with a thumbs up, "My wife and I even went to burn incense for this benefactor of Jinling City."
"Listening to your accent, the little lady isn't a local, right?"
Su Zhenzhen was from Suzhou, and the original owner of her body was also from Suzhou.
"Yes, I am from Gusu."
After learning that Su Zhenzhen was not a local, the boss began to educate her about Second Young Master Zhao, the bastardly deeds of this menace of Jinling.
"Little lady, you might not know this, but that Second Young Master Zhao, relying on his family's backing, committed countless evil deeds. Privately, we called him The Scourge of Jinling. With him around, the young girls in our Jinling City didn't even dare to go out, especially the pretty ones..." The boss said, rejoicing, "Thank goodness he was eliminated."
As he spoke, the boss enthusiastically hung another layer of red silk on the eaves.
Su Zhenzhen remembered.
In the original novel, this red silk was hung for The Sage Emperor Shen Yanci, who eliminated The Scourge of Jinling as soon as he ascended the throne.
Now, it was hung for Mu Dan.
Su Zhenzhen subconsciously looked toward the young man beside her.
Although it was autumn, the tail end of summer this year dragged on for a very long time. Coupled with the fact that Mu Dan was extremely afraid of the heat, the young man was still wearing summer clothes.
This was an extremely simple everyday outfit made of pale mint-colored yarn. The collar was slightly large, revealing the white inner collar underneath. The belt was also a mint-smoke color of the same hue, though visibly darker to the naked eye. An ugly sachet hung from the copper buckle on the right. Other than that, there were no decorations on his entire body. It was simple to the extreme, yet it also perfectly accentuated his youthful aura.
Lu Hexu had a piece of zongzi-shaped candy in his mouth, wafting a faint minty fragrance. He seemed not to have heard the boss's words, his gaze drawn to the spun sugar in the courtyard.
"Wife, they want to try making spun sugar themselves." The boss finished hanging the red silk and went to call his wife.
The boss's wife was busy. Hearing this, she turned around holding the spun sugar in her hands. Her gaze swept over Mu Dan, then she looked at Su Zhenzhen and praised, "What a perfectly matched couple! You want to mold it yourselves? Take this tray, I just made it."
Su Zhenzhen nodded, gave the boss some silver, and then pulled Mu Dan to sit by the stone table in the courtyard to start molding the spun sugar.
The freshly made spun sugar was still a bit hot to the touch.
Su Zhenzhen and Mu Dan washed their hands, and each took a small stone stool.
The boss went to the front to greet customers. The boss's wife came over to take a look, gave a brief explanation, and then let them play freely while she went back to her work.
Su Zhenzhen worked hard to mold something that looked like nothing in particular, and then turned to look at Mu Dan. He had already eaten a lot.
Su Zhenzhen: ...Well, at least we got our money's worth.
"What did you make?" Lu Hexu stuffed a warm piece of spun sugar into his mouth.
"Guess." Su Zhenzhen was too embarrassed to say.
"A rock."
Su Zhenzhen: "...You guessed right. Here, you eat it."
Lu Hexu raised his hand to take the "rock" from Su Zhenzhen's hand, and their fingertips touched.
[It was actually supposed to be a rabbit.]
The young man lifted his eyelids to glance at her, then looked down at the "rock" in his hand.
There was absolutely no resemblance.
Lu Hexu ate the "rock," then raised his hand to take a piece of spun sugar and began to mold it slowly.
Su Zhenzhen had already lost her confidence from the blow. She stood up to watch the boss's wife make candy.
There were also many dried candied fruits in the courtyard. The boss's wife was very generous and brought a small plate over for her to taste.
Su Zhenzhen ate a little just to be polite, her gaze falling on the osmanthus tree in the courtyard.
"Does the little lady like osmanthus trees? Then you can go visit the Zhaiyue Pavilion, right by the Qinhuai River. There is a century-old osmanthus tree inside the Zhaiyue Pavilion, and making wishes there is the most effective. After seeing the osmanthus tree, you can also go up the Zhaiyue Pavilion to look at the moon. I heard that standing up there, you can touch the moon."
Su Zhenzhen was a bit moved by the description. Just as she was about to ask Mu Dan if he wanted to go, she turned her head and saw a lifelike spun sugar rabbit on the stone table.
"Do you want more?"
Lu Hexu put down the chubby lop-eared spun sugar rabbit in his hand and tilted his head to look at her.
"Then how about a little dog?"
Lu Hexu lowered his eyes and molded a small dog lying on its stomach for Su Zhenzhen.
"I want a little cat, too."
Lu Hexu continued molding the sugar.
In the end, they left with a rabbit, a dog, and a cat.
"Actually, I bought you a cat sugar figurine last time too, but it got ruined when we were being chased."
Thinking about this made Su Zhenzhen feel full of regret.
Shaped sugar figurines were the most expensive, costing eighty copper coins each.
But today, she supposed she had made her money back.
Just as Su Zhenzhen finished speaking, she turned her head only to see that the young man had already bitten off the sugar rabbit's head.
Su Zhenzhen: ...Ahhh! Stop eating it!
Thanks to Su Zhenzhen's fierce protection, she finally managed to rescue the cat and the dog from Mu Dan's mouth, carefully storing them away in a small box.
Lu Hexu licked his lips. "They'll go bad if we don't eat them."
Su Zhenzhen ignored him and stated directly, "Let's go to the Moon-Plucking Tower by the Qinhuai River."
Seeing that Mu Dan disliked crowded places, Su Zhenzhen took him through the smaller paths.
Jinling City had many alleyways. After asking some locals for directions, Su Zhenzhen led Mu Dan through the narrow alleys, winding around for nearly an hour.
"You're lost."
A faint voice came from behind her.
Su Zhenzhen denied it. "No, I'm not."
The two of them continued to wander through the alleys.
Although there were houses in the alleys, the paths were so narrow that they could only walk in single file.
Su Zhenzhen held Mu Dan's hand, leading him as they walked one after the other.
The deeper they went, the darker the alley became. Su Zhenzhen gradually noticed that while the households near the entrance didn't dare to hang red silk openly, the doors of the houses deeper inside all had red silk draped on one side and various Mid-Autumn festival lanterns on the other.
Su Zhenzhen's gaze was drawn to the colorful lanterns.
It looked like a deserted lantern exhibition.
"Mu Dan, they hung all these red silks for you," Su Zhenzhen said softly.
Lu Hexu lifted his gaze, sweeping past the red silks before letting it fall back onto the woman in front of him.
He didn't care about these red silks.
What he cared about wasn't these red silks.
"Wow, look! That lantern can actually move on its own."
Su Zhenzhen had spotted a crab lantern. There was no wind here, yet the crab's legs were waving up and down as if it were alive.
Her curiosity piqued, Su Zhenzhen leaned in for a closer look.
She saw that there were words written on the crab lantern.
The literacy rate among the commoners here was not high. For a small household like this to have words written on a crab lantern, they would have had to pay someone to write them.
"Wishing you a life free of worries, and peace year after year," Su Zhenzhen read aloud, her head tilted up, before her gaze shifted to the red silk entwined nearby.
She guessed that this blessing was probably meant for Mu Dan as well.
Following the scent of osmanthus, they finally navigated out of the alleys and found the Moon-Plucking Tower.
This was the bank of the Qinhuai River.
The houses along the river were adorned everywhere with magnificent colorful lanterns. Countless painted pleasure boats glided back and forth on the water. The soft, melodic Wu dialect and the harmonious tunes of flutes and reed pipes mingled with the lively, vibrant atmosphere of the bustling streets.
Many vendors were selling their wares along the riverbank.
"Fresh river crabs, ten coins each! Delicious whether steamed or braised..."
"Osmanthus wine! Home-brewed osmanthus wine, sweet and refreshing, it won't get you drunk..."
"Freshly harvested water caltrops! Would the young lady like to try one?"
Su Zhenzhen took a water caltrop. After prying it open with some effort, she revealed the pinkish-white flesh inside.
Water caltrops generally didn't have much flavor, but the flesh was crisp and refreshing. Savoring it carefully, Su Zhenzhen tasted a hint of sweetness, along with a faint earthy fishiness from the river.
A head leaned over from beside her and took a bite right where Su Zhenzhen had just bitten.
Su Zhenzhen froze.
Although they had kissed before, this was the first time they had shared food so intimately.
Oh, sharing the shaved ice didn't count.
"How is it, young lady? If you don't like it raw, you can take it back and boil it. Once cooked, the flesh becomes soft and sticky, very delicious."
"It's not good..." Before Lu Hexu could finish his sentence, Su Zhenzhen slapped a hand over his mouth.
"We'll come back and buy some later." Su Zhenzhen grabbed Lu Hexu's hand and dragged him away.
As they continued forward in search of the Moon-Plucking Tower, Su Zhenzhen's eyes were drawn to a particular pleasure boat on the river.
There were many boats on the water: smaller awning boats, larger painted galleys, and endless strings of lantern boats tied together like a dragon, decorated with little lanterns for viewing. However, the pleasure boat in front of her was the most beautiful and luxurious of them all.
Though it only had two stories, it was massive in size.
The rear cabin on the second floor featured a pavilion. A banquet was set in the middle, looking like a private dining room. At the very front was a canopied corridor, surrounded by colorful glazed lanterns. Several rosewood chairs were placed beneath the canopy, where a few beautiful women sat gracefully, playing lingering melodies on traditional string and wind instruments.
How much would a meal there cost? With beautiful women providing musical accompaniment, it certainly wasn't a place ordinary people could enter.
After a brief glance, Su Zhenzhen led Mu Dan away to continue looking for the Moon-Plucking Tower.
Inside the private room on the second floor of the pleasure boat, Han Shuo, who was sitting by the window, glanced at the crowd and felt as though he had spotted a familiar young man's face.
But after blinking, the face was gone.
He must have had too much to drink and his eyes were playing tricks on him.
How could that person possibly be out strolling the streets with a woman, looking so completely normal?
The Moon-Plucking Tower was the tallest building along the Qinhuai River. Despite the surging crowds, Su Zhenzhen spotted it at a glance.
Behind a rather tall enclosing wall, a century-old golden osmanthus tree was in full bloom.
People were picking up the tiny golden flowers that had fallen to the ground.
Just as Su Zhenzhen was wondering if she should gather some herself, a little girl suddenly tugged at the hem of her clothes. "Big sister, would you like to buy some osmanthus flowers? Wishing you wealth and good fortune."
The little girl wore her hair in two small braids and was dressed cleanly and neatly. When she looked up, she revealed a pair of clear, bright eyes, and auspicious words tumbled easily from her lips.
Su Zhenzhen looked down at the osmanthus flowers in the girl's hands; they did indeed look very fresh.
"Big sister, smell them. They're so fragrant."
The handful of osmanthus was offered up to her.
Caught off guard, Su Zhenzhen inhaled a lungful of the sweet scent.
It really was incredibly fragrant.
"Big brother, buy a bunch of osmanthus for the big sister," the little girl said, shifting her gaze to Mu Dan after seeing how stingy Su Zhenzhen was being.
Lu Hexu reached out, took the osmanthus from the little girl, and handed it to Su Zhenzhen.
Aside from the decorative flower boat last time, this was the first time she had received flowers from the young man.
"Thank you."
When receiving a gift, one should be gracious and say thank you.
As Su Zhenzhen held the osmanthus flowers, looking shy and timid, the little girl blinked her big eyes and stared at the young man.
Su Zhenzhen: ???
Su Zhenzhen: ...
Resigned to her fate, Su Zhenzhen fished some copper coins out of her own purse and handed them to the little girl.
The little girl skipped away happily.
Holding the flowers, Su Zhenzhen said, "Thank you for being so generous with my money."
Lu Hexu nodded faintly and replied, "You're welcome."
As the two prepared to enter the Moon-Plucking Tower, they were stopped at the door, only then learning that it was the most expensive restaurant along the Qinhuai River.
She couldn't afford to eat there.
"Did you bring any silver?" Su Zhenzhen asked Mu Dan beside her, not holding out much hope.
The young man shook his head. "No." Then, after popping a hawthorn candy into his mouth, he tapped the token hanging at Su Zhenzhen's waist.
"Does this token actually work here?" Su Zhenzhen was skeptical.
Lu Hexu replied, "It's made of gold."
So this token didn't just look like gold, it was actually made of pure gold? Are all of you people from the palace this extravagant?
"Is it really okay to just break a piece off like that?"
"Yeah, it's fine."
Lu Hexu reached out, took the token from Su Zhenzhen's waist, simply snapped off a small piece with his bare hands, and tossed it to the greeting servant at the door.
The servant bit into it. Once he confirmed it was real gold, he quickly put on a bright smile and led Su Zhenzhen and Lu Hexu through the decorated archway behind him.
"Two VIP guests!"
Lu Hexu handed the token back to Su Zhenzhen.
Su Zhenzhen looked at the token, now missing a corner, and felt a pang of heartache.
Heartache for the one she had lost last time.
How much silver would that have converted to?
"I'll never say you waste money again," Su Zhenzhen said as she tucked the token, originally hanging at her waist, into the hidden pocket of her robes.
Su Zhenzhen considered the money she spent on Mu Dan as spending a little to achieve a lot.
The youth beside her said, "Oh, so you've been secretly saying I waste money in your heart."
Su Zhenzhen: ...She was wrong, she would never do it again.
The Moon-Plucking Pavilion turned out to be not just one building, but a complex of three interconnected buildings. With flying bridges and carved railings, light and shadow intertwined. Everywhere one looked, lanterns and candles flickered brilliantly, making it look like a fairyland on earth.
"Would you two prefer a table in the hall, or a private room?"
The servant pointed to the main hall, and then to the second floor.
The hall was the public seating, while the private rooms were upstairs.
"A private room," Su Zhenzhen said. After a pause, she added, "The highest one."
Every floor of the Moon-Plucking Pavilion had a massive window. Su Zhenzhen and Mu Dan sat right by it, and whenever they looked up, they could see the giant, bright moon right beside them.
The proprietress was right; it really felt like you could reach out and touch it.
The moon looked far away, yet also seemed so close.
The moonlight was hazy. Lu Hexu sat there, expressionlessly gazing at the full moon in the sky.
Joyous sounds of family reunions echoed all around them.
Heh.
A mocking smile curled the corners of Lu Hexu's lips. He pinched a piece of candied fruit in his hand and popped it into his mouth. He crunched the hard candy to pieces, swallowing it down his scratchy throat.
"Don't eat too many, we're about to have dinner." Su Zhenzhen's fingertips lightly tapped the back of the youth's hand.
[Baby, you eat so much candy, you must be super sweet.]
Lu Hexu turned his head to look at her.
Su Zhenzhen met his gaze with a pair of pure, innocent puppy-dog eyes, then lowered her head, propped her chin on one hand, and began studying the menu.
"What would you like to order, dear guests?"
Su Zhenzhen asked the person across from her, "What do you want to eat?"
Lu Hexu, holding a piece of pine nut candy, met Su Zhenzhen's gaze. His movement of popping it into his mouth paused. "Whatever."
Su Zhenzhen ordered their signature lotus-stuffed fish, a serving of cold sophora leaf noodles, a stir-fry of tender lotus roots, and a river shrimp soup. For dessert, she ordered ice-snow cold glutinous balls, which were small sweet dumplings made of mung bean flour soaked in iced syrup, somewhat similar to ice jelly.
As expected, this dessert was very well-received by Mu Dan.
After eating, they went for a walk to digest their food. Su Zhenzhen and Mu Dan arrived beside the osmanthus tree at the Moon-Plucking Pavilion.
It was a century-old golden osmanthus tree, and it was right in the season of blooming. The trunk was thick and sturdy. When the wind blew, the fine golden stamens rustled down, showering over people's heads. Many red ribbons hung from the branches, and one slender ribbon fluttered right in front of Su Zhenzhen.
Su Zhenzhen subconsciously took a look.
"Praying for great wealth."
What a simple and honest wish.
Beside the osmanthus tree, servants arranged by the shop were handing out red ribbons, and a table was set up with brush, ink, paper, and inkstone.
Su Zhenzhen asked for a red ribbon and began to write.
After finishing, she stood on her tiptoes and tied the red ribbon to the osmanthus tree.
Lu Hexu stood behind her and raised his hand to brush over the ribbon.
Three words were written crookedly on it: Live on.
Su Zhenzhen turned her head to look at Mu Dan. "Let's survive together."
Lu Hexu looked deeply into the woman's eyes. "Why do you want to live so badly?"
Su Zhenzhen was stunned for a moment. "Does someone need a reason to live?"
Don't they?
He needed one.
When Su Zhenzhen and Mu Dan came out of the Moon-Plucking Pavilion, they happened to pass by the same flower boat from earlier.
Not knowing what had happened, they saw a large crowd gathered around the flower boat, with constables in uniform maintaining order.
"What's the gossip?" Su Zhenzhen asked curiously.
A passerby enthusiastically shared, "I heard that a dancer who only sells her art and not her body refused to comply, so she was killed by that man."
Tsk, tsk, tsk. Trash.
Su Zhenzhen shifted her gaze to the man being escorted away by the constables not far away.
The man was tall and sturdy. Because his back was facing her, she couldn't see his face.
He was shoved along by the constables, wearing heavy shackles. Probably because he had been drinking, his steps were unsteady. Soon, under the watchful eyes of the crowd, he was forced into a prison cart.
After getting her fill of the gossip, Su Zhenzhen and Mu Dan returned to their small courtyard in the Qingliang Palace before dawn.
Inside the main room of the courtyard, there was an untouched meal, along with a jug of osmanthus wine rewarded from above and a box of mooncakes.
Ever since Wei Heng replaced Wang Ji in managing the eunuchs and maids, Su Zhenzhen clearly felt a qualitative improvement in her meals.
Of course, this might also have something to do with her latching onto Mu Dan, a second-generation eunuch.
The box contained a total of eight mooncakes, and beside it was a slip of paper listing their fillings.
Butter date, sesame oil preserved fruit, salt and pepper sesame, red bean paste, and so on.
"Which flavor do you want to eat?" Su Zhenzhen asked Mu Dan, who was standing beside her.
The youth seemed tired. With slightly lowered eyes, he rested his chin on her shoulder. As he moved, the top of his head brushed against her jaw, as if he were acting spoiled.
Su Zhenzhen's heart instantly softened.
[Ah, I want to eat you.]
Lu Hexu, who was tilting his head against Su Zhenzhen's shoulder, blinked and casually picked one.
Su Zhenzhen immediately said, "Alright, let's eat this one."
Su Zhenzhen picked up the palm-sized mooncake and used a kitchen knife to divide it into eight pieces.
She brought the mooncake over to the youth and lay down with him on the rocking chair.
On a small wooden tray sat one mooncake, a small cup of honey, and two forks.
Su Zhenzhen took a fork, pierced a small piece of the mooncake, and handed it to Mu Dan. "Try it."
Mu Dan had picked the most ordinary red bean paste mooncake.
Lu Hexu raised his hand, took the mooncake, and placed it in his mouth.
The sweet, rich flavor of the red bean paste flooded his taste buds.
He paused, dipped his fork into the small cup of honey on the side, and ate a bit.
It was very sweet and rich.
Lu Hexu had already forgotten what it felt like when his sense of taste was normal, but now, his sense of taste seemed to have recovered.
"How does it taste?"
Su Zhenzhen also ate a piece herself.
It was slightly too sweet, but the red bean paste was very fresh. With one bite, it was smooth and soft, with a faint, un-melted grainy texture.
The taste of pure nature, without any artificial additives.
"Mm."
The youth gave a soft response, but surprisingly didn't eat any more. Instead, he went to find some water to drink.
Su Zhenzhen lay alone on the rocking chair. After waiting for a while and seeing that he hadn't returned, she got up to look for him.
Looking at the moon alone was so boring.
Come keep me company, little baby.
Su Zhenzhen walked softly up behind the youth, peeked her head over, and then saw the mooncake box on the table in the main room... every single mooncake inside had a bite taken out of it.
Su Zhenzhen: ...
Feeling the presence behind him, Lu Hexu paused mid-bite of his mooncake. Without turning around, he calmly offered the half-eaten mooncake in his hand to Su Zhenzhen. "Want some?"
Su Zhenzhen: ...
-
After finishing the mooncake, the young man lay back in the rocking chair.
"Want some wine?"
Su Zhenzhen shook the bottle of osmanthus wine in her hand at Mu Dan.
Lu Hexu, lounging lazily in the rocking chair, shook his head.
"You do have a problem with headaches, so it is probably best you do not drink," Su Zhenzhen said, nodding in agreement.
She then sat alone in the courtyard, drinking the osmanthus wine.
She just wanted a taste.
Su Zhenzhen had already forgotten what she did the last time she got drunk.
She did not think the osmanthus wine was very strong, but when the summer breeze blew past, she realized she seemed to be tipsy again.
But then she figured it should not matter. Were she and Mu Dan not already very intimate?
How much more intimate could they get, anyway.
After all, her little darling was a eunuch.
Lu Hexu's line of sight was suddenly blocked by the woman's face leaning in.
He tilted his head slightly to look at her, and Su Zhenzhen mirrored his movement, completely obscuring the giant full moon behind her.
She was drunk.
Lu Hexu saw the crimson flush spreading across her face.
She leaned over, eyes half-closed, her delicate cheeks flushed, carrying the rich scent of osmanthus wine.
With her arms resting on the armrests of the rocking chair, the alcohol went to her head, blurring her senses. She pressed gentle, repetitive kisses against the young man's cheek.
It was like the playful teasing of children.
"You can kiss me." Lu Hexu reached out, grasped her chin, turned her face toward him, and captured her lips.
He tasted the rich, mellow flavor of osmanthus wine in her mouth, laced with a hint of sweetness.
Their breaths intertwined, their lips turning a deep rouge red from the friction.
With misty eyes, Su Zhenzhen trailed her lips across his cheek and down to his jawline.
The young man tilted his head back slightly, exposing his jawline, his Adam's apple bobbing gently.
Suddenly, Su Zhenzhen's arms gave out on the armrests. Her body collapsed onto the rocking chair, falling perfectly into his embrace.
She was very light, soft as a cloud, carrying a faint fragrance as she pressed down heavily, pressing right against a certain spot.
A soft sound escaped Lu Hexu's throat. He looked up at her slightly, the corners of his eyes flushed with a decadent red.
Su Zhenzhen was too drunk to notice anything. After kissing him for a while, the alcohol took over completely, and she wanted to sleep.
She pushed against the rocking chair to get up, but just as she sat up, a strong force gripped her waist, pulling her right back down.
Baby, you are super sweet
