Sang Ning kept a straight face, suddenly not wanting to respond.
He Siyu walked over and extended his hand. "Welcome, President Nan, for your inspection."
Sang Ning glanced behind him—everyone in the studio had turned their gazes toward them in unison. She swallowed hard but still reached out her hand.
He clasped her hand, his large palm completely enveloping her smaller one.
Sang Ning averted her eyes and whispered, "What are you doing? Everyone’s watching."
He raised a brow. "So what if they are? It’s not like they don’t know."
The official announcement from Huiyao’s account had sent the entire company into a frenzy for a whole week—of course they knew.
Sang Ning choked on his shamelessness.
He didn’t let go, instead brushing his thumb over the back of her hand casually. "Hiding it would only invite more gossip."
Then he turned and pulled her inside, hand in hand.
The studio erupted in excited cheers. "Wow!"
Sang Ning’s ears burned. She tried to pull her hand back, but he held on tightly.
He Siyu’s tone was languid. "Enough gawking—get back to work."
"Yes!"
After a round of laughter and chatter, everyone returned to their tasks.
He Siyu led Sang Ning forward, and Ye Qian immediately jumped up, vacating her seat eagerly. "Sang Ning, sit here! I’ve already prepared the project materials for you. Take a look!"
He Siyu and Sang Ning sat down together as Zhang Liang ran another demonstration of the beta version of the product.
He Siyu personally explained, "This product is currently in its second testing phase. The general framework is finalized, and the final version will likely look like this. What’s left is refining the database—specifically, medical resource information. Previously, we only had data from our partner, Linshan Hospital, which wasn’t enough. Now that your team has secured collaborations with several major hospitals in Jing City, we’re in the process of integrating shared medical information. At the latest, the product will launch next month."
Sang Ning stared intently at the screen as Zhang Liang operated it, her eyes alight with fascination.
Such an ambitious, almost unbelievable idea had actually been realized into a tangible product. She finally understood the excitement Ye Qian had described earlier.
"Well? Any questions, President Nan?" He Siyu smirked, watching her sparkling eyes.
Sang Ning frowned slightly. Whenever he called her "President Nan," she couldn’t help suspecting sarcasm. But when she turned to meet his gaze, his expression was entirely neutral, devoid of any hidden meaning.
Sang Ning shook her head. "None."
The studio door opened again as Assistant Yan stepped in. "President He, representatives from Huaji Hospital are here."
He Siyu gave a slight nod and glanced at Sang Ning. "Huaji is the largest hospital in Jing City. They’re here to discuss data integration. You should join us—it’ll be good for you to understand the situation."
Sang Ning nodded earnestly. "Alright."
He Siyu stood and walked out, instructing Assistant Yan, "Prepare the conference room."
"Yes."
The moment He Siyu left, Ye Qian grabbed Sang Ning’s hand excitedly. "Oh my god, oh my god! I already knew, but seeing it in person is still shocking! My heart’s still racing—feel it!"
Ye Qian pressed Sang Ning’s hand against her own chest.
Sang Ning: "..."
She stiffly withdrew her fingers. "It is... quite fast."
Ye Qian clicked her tongue. "Only you could pull this off—actually bagging President He! Do you know how wild the company went after your official announcement? People swarmed our studio for days, digging for details!"
Sang Ning blinked. Was it really that exaggerated?
Before she could respond, the studio door opened again. Assistant Yan poked his head in. "The conference room is ready."
"Got it!" Ye Qian shot up, dragging Sang Ning along.
Zhang Liang and two other technical leads followed.
When they entered the conference room, He Siyu was shaking hands with Huaji Hospital’s representative.
"President He, hello. I’m Sheng Nian."
He Siyu nodded slightly. "Dr. Sheng."
Noticing Sang Ning’s arrival, He Siyu pulled out a chair and sat down.
Ye Qian and Sang Ning took seats on the left side of the long table, while Zhang Liang and the others settled in as well. The right side was occupied by Huaji’s delegation.
Ye Qian leaned toward Sang Ning, whispering, "That Dr. Sheng isn’t bad-looking."
Sang Ning glanced up. He was indeed decently handsome—lean and scholarly, with semi-rimmed glasses.
But when she lifted her gaze, she accidentally locked eyes with He Siyu’s dark, intense stare.
Ye Qian tugged her sleeve. "Well? What do you think?"
Sang Ning turned back and gave a slight nod.
Ye Qian grinned. "Still nowhere near President He, though. His vibe’s too bland."
Sang Ning couldn’t help stealing another glance at He Siyu. He was flipping through documents, expression cold, but when he sensed her gaze, he looked up again, pinning her with a glowering glare.
Sang Ning gulped and quickly averted her eyes, murmuring to Ye Qian, "Bland is better."
The meeting began with Ye Qian introducing the AI medical project and its required resources.
"Huaji’s strongest department is thoracic surgery, which is also our biggest data gap at the moment."
Sheng Nian nodded. "Sharing medical information benefits society, and Huaji is willing to cooperate. But we’re concerned about potential medical disputes and AI misdiagnoses."
The stakes were too high for Ye Qian or Zhang Liang to guarantee anything, so they looked to He Siyu.
At some point, this project had shifted from President Fang’s hands to He Siyu’s. Now, everyone at Huiyao knew the AI medical project was the only one President He personally oversaw.
He Siyu toyed with a pen, flicking it open and shut with his long fingers.
"We’ve drafted a detailed liability waiver." He glanced at Assistant Yan, who hurriedly passed out copies.
He Siyu’s tone was calm. "The AI medical product only provides preliminary answers and assessments. As a public service, it’s meant for medical knowledge dissemination—not diagnosis. Huaji, as the data provider, has nothing to worry about."
Sheng Nian nodded. "With your assurance, we’re relieved."
The two sides then negotiated further details.
An hour later, the meeting concluded.
He Siyu stood, closing his folder. "Let’s end here for today."
Sheng Nian nodded politely. "Of course. Teacher Zheng wasn’t feeling well, so I attended in his place. I’ll relay everything to him."
"You’re too modest. Teacher Zheng, Huaji’s most esteemed thoracic expert, spoke highly of you—his most accomplished student. He trusts your judgment."
He Siyu studied him with a measured look. "A rising star."
Sheng Nian smiled. "You flatter me, President He. I wouldn’t dare show off in front of you."
He Siyu stared at him, then suddenly asked, "Have we met before?"
Sheng Nian's smile faded slightly. "I attended Yubei High School, right next to Yinghang High. Back then, I’d already heard of President He’s reputation."
