Yuan Shu arched a brow, a smile appearing on her face. “Senior Brother Leng?”
Leng Shuxue handed the magical artifacts in his hands to the two junior disciples following behind him and instructed them to take everything to the Fallen Immortal Hall.
He then walked toward Yuan Shu.
“Shushu, what are you doing here? Are you… here to see me?”
“Mm… yes.” Yuan Shu smiled brightly and immediately decided to tell a small lie.
Sure enough, Leng Shuxue’s handsome, otherworldly eyes lit up. He stepped forward and took her hand. “Shushu, come with me.”
…
The dense grove was quiet and secluded, with no one around to disturb them.
Leng Shuxue swept Yuan Shu into his arms.
A faint cedar fragrance, crisp and clean, filled the air. One deep breath was enough to make her head swim slightly.
“Shushu, I’ve missed you so much!”
His words were tender and affectionate.
The man who had once been cold and aloof, confined to a wheelchair with both legs disabled, had now become a blazing flame.
Yuan Shu chuckled and buried her face against his increasingly muscular chest, rubbing against him lightly. “I missed you too, Senior Brother Leng.”
As soon as she finished speaking, Yuan Shu’s hand had already familiarized itself with his body and settled on his chest.
Leng Shuxue’s body tensed, and his expression grew a little awkward. “Shushu, I just got back and haven’t even changed yet. Besides, I brought you some things you can use.”
With a gentle motion, Leng Shuxue pulled Yuan Shu away. Then, with a wave of his hand, three rare, high-grade spirit-origin pills appeared before them.
With another wave, three magical artifacts materialized as well.
A Flowing-Firefly Sword, narrow and light.
A Chasing-Moon Hairpin, shaped like a silver-white crescent moon. Its tip could fire sword qi formed from moonlight, and it could be worn in one’s hair, allowing its wielder to catch an opponent off guard.
A Flowing-Wind Silk, as thin as a cicada’s wing. It could enable its wearer to fly on the wind for a short time, moving at incredible speed without making a sound.
The corners of Yuan Shu’s lips curved upward.
It seemed that all of her senior brothers liked bringing her gifts whenever they went out.
She had heard that after Leng Shuxue’s legs recovered, he had gone to another sect to further his studies and had not been around the sect.
Yuan Shu believed in treating everyone equally.
Since she had accepted the hair ornaments and magical artifacts from Yin Ruobai, she naturally could not refuse Shen Qi’s exquisite whip case.
Having accepted Shen Qi’s whip case, she naturally could not refuse Ji Qingyan’s bracelet.
Having accepted Ji Qingyan’s bracelet, she certainly could not refuse the gifts from Shu Linyuan, Zhai Shuo, and Long Yunhui.
And after accepting their gifts, how could she possibly refuse Leng Shuxue’s pills and magical artifacts?
“Shushu, take a look. Do you like them?”
Leng Shuxue laid the items out one by one, his handsome, otherworldly face filled with gentle anticipation.
Yuan Shu smiled, her eyes curving like crescents. “Senior Brother Leng, did you spend all the money you earned on your trip buying gifts for me?”
All three items were spirit artifacts, and middle-grade ones at that. Buying them must have cost a considerable number of spirit stones.
Leng Shuxue’s ears flushed faintly at being seen through. “As long as Shushu likes them, it was only a few spirit stones. They don’t matter.”
The corners of Yuan Shu’s lips lifted. She nodded and said, “I like them.”
Then she changed the subject, leaned close to Leng Shuxue’s ear, and breathed lightly against it.
“But I like Senior Brother Leng’s… body even more.”
Leng Shuxue’s body abruptly stiffened. As his Adam’s apple bobbed, his voice grew huskier. “Shushu…”
“Hmm?” Yuan Shu responded. Her fair, lotus-white arm reached out and hooked around his neck, drawing her even closer.
“Senior Brother Leng, we haven’t seen each other in so many days. I wonder if your legs have grown even stronger than before? Should we… put them to the test?”
Before Yuan Shu could finish speaking, an arm had already locked around her waist.
Leng Shuxue lowered his beautiful eyes and looked at the woman clinging to his chest. A fierce, surging fire rose within his gaze.
“Shushu, you know I have no resistance to you, yet you insist on tempting me like this. I won’t be able to bear it.”
“Oh? What happens when you can’t bear it?” Yuan Shu asked with a mischievous smile and a blink. “Senior Brother Leng, hurry up and show me.”
“Shushu…”
A dangerous look fell upon Yuan Shu’s delicate face, and the last thread of Leng Shuxue’s reason snapped.
He casually cast a Cleansing Dust spell over himself, then pulled Yuan Shu close and kissed her hard.
Yuan Shu’s lips curved into a smile. Wrapping her arms around his neck, she kissed him back.
It had been a long time since she had seen him, and she had missed him too.
What was more…
This time, when they met, the spiritual power surging through Leng Shuxue was unmistakable. He had clearly advanced in cultivation.
After advancing, the dual-cultivation spiritual power brought by his exceptional cauldron physique was extraordinary.
She had only just reached the Nascent Soul stage and needed a vigorous session of dual cultivation to stabilize her realm.
Sensing Yuan Shu’s uninhibited response, Leng Shuxue’s heart began pounding. His eyes reddened, and he wished he could melt her into his very body.
…
A surging wave of spiritual power flowed into Yuan Shu’s body. She raised a brow, feeling the power of her newly entered Nascent Soul stage grow solid and stable. She was quite pleased.
She glanced at Leng Shuxue, who was working hard before her, and happily kissed him twice more.
What she received in return was an even more intense storm.
…
“Weren’t you following Junior Brother Leng to retrieve the magical artifacts left behind by Grandmaster? Where is Junior Brother Leng?”
On the road from Azure Cloud Peak to the Fallen Immortal Hall, Long Yunhui ran into a group of junior disciples carrying the artifacts away.
He glanced over them. When he did not see Leng Shuxue, he paused in confusion.
“Third Senior Brother, Fourth Senior Brother ran into Guest Elder Yuan from Medicine Cloud Peak, so he took Guest Elder Yuan with him…”
“What? Yuan Shu is here?” Long Yunhui grabbed the disciple who had spoken, his expression suddenly excited.
The young disciple jumped in fright, but quickly nodded once he recovered. “Yes, Guest Elder Yuan came to Azure Cloud Peak. They’re just ahead…”
Before he could finish the word “ahead,” Long Yunhui had already vanished down the path like a whirlwind.
The young disciple stared in astonishment and scratched his head in bewilderment, unable to understand why Third Senior Brother had become so excited.
Come to think of it, Fourth Senior Brother had seemed pretty excited too. He had even vaguely heard Fourth Senior Brother ask whether Guest Elder Yuan had come to see him.
It seemed that the senior brothers had a very good relationship with Guest Elder Yuan!
…
Relying on his exceptional powers of observation, Long Yunhui found the concealed barrier in the woods.
The barrier could create illusions and block sound. He could not see what was happening inside, nor could he hear anything.
But with a casual guess, he could figure out exactly what was happening in there.
Could it be that Fourth Junior Brother had also… with Yuan Shu?
Long Yunhui felt as though he had uncovered yet another shocking secret.
Ever since learning about Yuan Shu’s relationship with Shen Qi, Zhai Shuo, and Shu Linyuan, this was another secret he had discovered.
Long Yunhui was extremely depressed.
Ever since he and Junior Sister Yuan had honestly revealed their true identities to each other, he had not once seen Yuan Shu alone.
For one thing, Lu Guichen had sent them off to train in a secret realm. For another, Yuan Shu seemed to be very busy.
He had gone to find her several times, but never managed to catch her.
Meanwhile, the others had already secretly slipped to her side one after another.
Was there anyone in the world more miserable than him?
First, Yuan Shu had kept his eyes covered and tricked him into running around in circles, refusing to tell him her true identity no matter what.
Then, when he had finally found out, he had abruptly discovered that he was merely one of her many dao companions.
Several of his senior brothers had gotten there long before him.
Whenever he thought about it, he could not stop feeling irritated.
He raised his hand, intending to shatter the barrier and charge inside to separate the two of them.
But if he did that, Yuan Shu would certainly be angry.
Long Yunhui shook his head and lowered his hand. Then he found a dense tree nearby and leaped onto one of its branches, keeping his eyes fixed unblinkingly on the barrier.
It was not until two shichen later, with dusk drawing near, that the barrier was finally withdrawn.
Long Yunhui’s expression tightened. He hurriedly concealed his aura and lay low in silence.
