Zhou Sheng had his assistant pull the switch.
He was already at the edge of the camera frame, not far from Shen Sizhan.
The drug would take some time to take effect, so it had to be administered early.
He had long known from the show’s script which two guests the audience would vote to share a room tonight.
He had already hired professionals to rig the votes so Shen Sizhan and Qiao Yinyin would be paired together.
By the time the drug took effect, the show would be over.
Once Shen Sizhan was alone with Qiao Yinyin, he would lose all self-control.
They would sleep together, and Qiao Yinyin would record the encounter.
With that video in hand, Shen Sizhan would be completely under his thumb.
Qiao Yinyin had already been under his control for a while.
If Shen Sizhan disobeyed, the video wouldn’t just ruin his career—it could also land him in prison for rape.
Shen Sizhan might not care about his career, but would he risk going to jail?
Zhou Sheng thought everything was going according to plan.
But the moment he turned away, he saw Shen Sizhan handing the orange juice to his sister.
Damn it! He forgot how much Shen Sizhan loved playing the obedient servant in front of Lin Mo!
Now things were spiraling out of control.
Still, he quickly composed himself.
Wasn’t Shen Sizhan obsessed with his sister?
With a compromising video of her, wouldn’t he be even more compliant?
A smirk flickered in Zhou Sheng’s eyes as he reached for the cigarettes in his pocket, planning to step out for a smoke while figuring out who to send after Lin Mo.
She was a beauty—normally, he’d hesitate to ruin someone like her.
But before he could take a step, he saw Qiao Yinyin walking toward Lin Mo with a resolute expression.
Alarm bells rang in Zhou Sheng’s mind, his pupils contracting sharply.
What was Qiao Yinyin doing?
Was she going to tell Lin Mo?
Why would she do that?
Had she even considered the consequences?
There was no proof he was behind this. At worst, his plan would fail today.
But Qiao Yinyin would be destroyed!
Yet, this could also be a golden opportunity.
"Qiao Yinyin!"
Zhou Sheng suddenly called out to her.
This broke the show’s rules—staff weren’t allowed to speak during the live broadcast.
The director shot him a displeased look.
Zhou Sheng immediately apologized, "Sorry, Director. Qiao Yinyin’s phone is with me. There’s an emergency at home."
Family matters were unavoidable.
The director relented. "Don’t let it happen again."
Hearing his voice, Qiao Yinyin stiffened.
The other guests turned to look at her.
But she didn’t glance back, continuing straight toward Lin Mo.
"I need to talk to you."
She couldn’t say it in front of the cameras.
Without evidence, exposing this would only derail the entire show, wasting everyone’s hard work.
Lin Mo was munching on a salted egg yolk pizza and blinked. "With me? Sure."
She grabbed two more slices. "Let’s talk in the courtyard."
Qiao Yinyin seemed off, and Lin Mo had noticed.
Once they were out of the live broadcast’s range, the director didn’t intervene—two female guests could do as they pleased.
In the villa’s courtyard, Qiao Yinyin was about to speak when Zhou Sheng rushed over, reaching out to grab her.
Lin Mo frowned and stepped between them. "What do you think you’re doing?"
Zhou Sheng always wore a smile in public. "Lin Mo, we haven’t officially met. I’m Shen Sizhan’s—"
Lin Mo cut him off. "I know who you are. The entertainment industry’s top bloodsucker."
Zhou Sheng’s expression darkened, though he kept smiling. "That’s just fans exaggerating. I need to talk to Qiao Yinyin. I—"
"I have something to say to Lin Mo. Please leave."
The girl with bangs spoke firmly, but her soft, doll-like voice lacked any intimidation.
Zhou Sheng’s eyes turned cold. "Qiao Yinyin!"
Lin Mo’s hand twitched, barely holding back a slap. "Are you deaf? She told you to leave."
Before Zhou Sheng could retort, two men in black suddenly appeared and kicked him five meters back.
"Ah—!"
A pained scream echoed.
Recognizing the men, Lin Mo grinned. "Thanks, Dark Knights!"
The two smirked in unison.
The older one said, "Talk freely. We’ll make sure no one interrupts."
Lin Mo turned back to Qiao Yinyin. "What’s wrong, Yinyin?"
That was what Lin Mo used to call her.
Tears instantly spilled down Qiao Yinyin’s cheeks.
She never imagined the kind sister she thought was dead would still be alive—it was an overwhelming relief.
Good people really did get rewarded!
Wiping her tears, Qiao Yinyin got straight to the point. "Zhou Sheng drugged the orange juice you drank."
Lin Mo’s eyes widened, nearly dropping her pizza before catching it. "What?"
Qiao Yinyin explained, "He meant to drug Shen Sizhan. He wanted me to… sleep with him once the drug took effect and record it to control him. But you drank it instead."
Lin Mo’s gaze turned icy as she glanced at Zhou Sheng, still blocked by the bodyguards.
She had already asked Jiang Tang to investigate this agent.
If they found illegal evidence, they’d send him to prison—making it easier to negotiate Shen Sizhan’s contract termination.
The company would be at fault.
But Zhou Sheng was too cunning, leaving no traces behind.
Maybe that was why he grew bolder, crossing more lines.
Qiao Yinyin’s tears fell harder. "I’m sorry. I should’ve spoken up sooner. I—"
Lin Mo shook her head. "It’s not your fault."
A girl with no one to rely on—what choice did she have?
Qiao Yinyin was drowning in regret. "Zhou Sheng’s drug is extremely potent. Once it kicks in, you lose all control. But since we caught it early, going to the hospital now might still help!"
Lin Mo didn’t waste time, asking the bodyguards to take her to the hospital.
Half an hour later, at the hospital, Lin Mo still felt nothing.
Blood tests and exams came back clean by 9:30 PM.
Lin Mo asked, "Could he have not drugged it?"
Qiao Yinyin shook her head. "Impossible."
Then it hit Lin Mo—Xie Guanyan had also drunk a glass of orange juice!
