The gem palace was finally completed, and Ji Zhaoxi’s happiest moments were spent lying in the palace and sleeping, and so was Celeste’s.
Opening her eyes to gems, and closing them with nothing but gems filling her sight—nothing could make her happier than this.
The forest animals desperately wanted to visit, but Celeste politely turned them all away.
This was his and Miss Dragon’s home; he didn’t want it tainted by the scent of any other creature.
Word spread about the Evil Dragon in the forest owning a gem palace, and Ji Zhaoxi’s reputation grew—but it was all bad.
Rumors said she went around stealing gems, killing anyone who refused to hand them over. It was claimed the number of people she had slain towered higher than a mountain, sparing no one—men, women, the young, or the old.
Ji Zhaoxi had been painted as a murderous maniac, her infamy even surpassing that of Lorian.
And Ji Zhaoxi was absolutely thrilled.
“Yes! Spread that rumor about me!”
Celeste officially began his commuting life. Now that the palace was built, he wasn’t as busy as before and had more time to rest.
When he wasn’t in the kingdom, he spent almost every moment with Ji Zhaoxi.
Of course, that was her demand—because she wanted to constantly boss around her servant.
Celeste, now the king, had actually asked for a raise—from two gems to five. Ji Zhaoxi was pained by this.
She was determined to get those three extra gems back from him, making him do everything from dressing her to tying her shoes, all the trivial things.
Perhaps feeling a twinge of guilt over the five gems, Celeste never complained about working.
The forest swayed violently in the wind, rain hammering the crystal dome with a heavy, snapping sound.
Ji Zhaoxi curled up listlessly under the blanket, sneaking a touch of her own dragon horns, but they felt unpleasant to her.
Her breath grew hotter. Celeste was silently sitting nearby, writing something.
But she had told him that very afternoon not to touch her—because he was always kissing her, and it annoyed her.
Her ears flushed crimson as she buried her face in the blanket, unconsciously rubbing her horns against it.
Yet he was hired with her five gems—she could order him to do whatever she wanted!
At that thought, she mustered a bit of confidence.
“Celeste, come here!”
She tried to sound stern, but it was only in her imagination. The longing in her voice was impossible to hide; it trembled with a hint of tears, making her sound pitiful.
“Miss Dragon, is there anything you need?” Celeste’s voice was full of confusion.
She said nothing, just hid under the blanket, crying softly, waiting for him to approach eagerly and relieve her desire.
If he pretended not to know, she would cry and throw a tantrum until he gave in.
She waited a moment. When Celeste didn’t react, she was about to get angry—then she was suddenly pulled into his arms.
Celeste loved to watch her expression, to see how her eyes grew hazy because of him…
His hand pressed against her dragon horn. Unlike usual rubbing, his fingertips slowly teased the base, each press making her body tremble uncontrollably.
Both of their breaths grew heavy. Celeste lowered his gaze and kissed her deeply, slipping into her mouth and biting her tongue. She bore his kiss, struggling to breathe.
“So obedient…”
Miss Dragon was always this gentle at times like this…
As her clothes fell away, his kisses traveled downward, finally settling on her flat stomach.
The corners of his eyes were flushed red, his hands stroking the side of her waist gently, leaving one red mark after another on her belly.
Candles hung silently on the wall, casting soft light. The fire crackled in the hearth.
Celeste lifted her legs, pressing her against the woolen tapestry. In that nearly suspended position, she could only helplessly wrap her arms around his neck.
Ji Zhaoxi’s mind went blank. She clung tightly to him, sobbing quietly, while he bit her neck, breathing heavily.
The candlelight threw shadows wildly onto the wall, her dangling legs swaying weakly.
“Miss Dragon, do you like this…?”
He nibbled on her earlobe, soothing her endlessly. She was crying too much to speak, her legs losing their strength. Just as she began to slide down, he lifted her again.
Tears streamed from the corners of her eyes in big droplets. Her dragon horns flushed blood-red. Seeing her tremble and weep, Celeste pitifully pressed a kiss to the tip of her horn.
“You cry so pitifully… but Miss Dragon really likes this, doesn’t she?”
“Miss Dragon…”
Then, suddenly, he felt a sharp bite on his neck. Celeste let out a soft laugh. He didn’t stop, but gently held her as he carried her toward the bathroom, maintaining their embrace.
With their footsteps, messy tracks were left across the floor, the air thick with the scent of desire.
