Reading Guide (Spoiler Warnings):

1. Goofy girl vs unhinged guy.

Female lead is a rich, pretty, carefree airhead, an academic slacker, and generally laid-back. The main story follows romance and study abroad, not a strong heroine or a female-empowerment plot.

Male lead is named Jiang Hang. He grows crazier over time, with more and more unhinged internal monologues. Often becomes the target of group mockery.

Poorly socialized and lacking manners.

He is from Hong Kong, China, emigrated abroad as a child. He has poor Mandarin and curses in his hometown dialect when angry. (The Cantonese parts were translated by a Hong Kong friend who also studied abroad as a child. The author can’t understand Cantonese, so whether authentic or not, the translation should fit the male lead’s character.)

2. An urban fantasy romance novel. The fantasy plot elements serve the romance.

Neither the male nor female lead is normal. Both have abnormal thought processes.

Please do not critique this based on real-world values.

3. Many real place names are used, but the setting is actually a semi-fictional world. The plot is a chaotic mix of various elements, over-the-top and cringe-worthy. Please do not fact-check.
