Not Close in Public, Preparing for Pregnancy in Private, Pampered with Affection Every Night

Chapter 45

Qin Yuhe was in no rush to begin. With his arms resting on either side of Song Xinya's body, he embraced her gently.

Sensing that she was too tense, he chatted with her, soothing her with a gentle, deep voice that was husky with desire.

"Why did you come back so late today?"

Song Xinya lay softly with her eyes closed, as pliable as if she had no bones, like a pool of spring water heated to a boil by the scorching sun.

"I went to an interview for a tutoring job."

Her long, ink-black hair was scattered across her snow-white back. The smooth strands gleamed with a silk-like luster, swaying back and forth over her flawless skin with his movements.

He lowered his head and kissed her hair.

"Did the interview go well?"

His warm, damp lips pressed against her hair, tender and lingering, giving her a feeling of being deeply cherished and pampered.

Her heart was fluttering uncontrollably.

"The interview went... pretty... pretty well..."

Qin Yuhe swept the hair scattered over her back to one side and buried his face in the warm, smooth hollow of her neck.

"A boy or a girl?"

Song Xinya's reason was tumbling in a bottomless whirlpool, her mind short-circuiting from the dense currents of electricity coursing through her. For a moment, she couldn't process what he meant.

"What boy or girl?"

Qin Yuhe knew that Song Xinya mainly tutored for the college entrance exams. High school boys, at that awkward age, might not be adults legally, but biologically, they were fully developed and capable of everything.

"The student you are tutoring, a boy or a girl?"

It was too hot.

It was really too hot.

Even though the room had a thermostat system keeping the temperature at a steady 22 degrees Celsius, Song Xinya still felt hot. A fire was burning inside her, while externally she was being scorched by his high body temperature.

She lifted her flushed face from the pillow, her slender neck stretching into a beautiful curve, her eyelashes trembling.

"A girl."

"Mhm." Qin Yuhe's voice was no longer as cold and tight as before; the end of his tone revealed a hint of relaxation.

His fingers curled a strand of her hair, twirling it around his fingertips. His movements were lazy and composed, unhurried, like a helmsman steering a ship, in absolute control.

Her black hair, like a waterfall, like smoke and mist, slowly slipped down his pale, cool fingers, brushing over the bulging veins on the back of his hand.

"How are the grades of the student you're tutoring?"

"Her ma... math grades are a bit poor."

"How poor?"

"She scored an 8."

Qin Yuhe chuckled softly. This girl was on par with his idiot younger sister.

Before they had even officially started doing anything, Song Xinya was already so nervous that she was covered in a fragrant sweat, looking as if she had been pulled out of the water.

Qin Yuhe's words carried a teasing smile, asking even though he knew the answer: "Why are you sweating so much?"

Song Xinya: "...Don't... don't you know..."

Qin Yuhe smiled and said, "I don't know."

He was doing it on purpose.

Song Xinya realized that the seriously aloof and ascetic crown prince on the outside was actually very wicked at times like this.

His deep voice coaxed her, "Mrs. Qin, tell me why. Is it because of me, hmm?"

Song Xinya didn't want to answer the question he had maliciously asked on purpose.

Fortunately, her phone on the nightstand rang. She reached over to grab it, pretending to be very busy to distract herself.

It wasn't any message worth paying attention to, just a pop-up news notification.

But no matter what popped up at this moment, it was Song Xinya's lifesaver.

She held the phone and looked at it "very seriously."

Qin Yuhe leaned over her from behind, his gaze falling on the phone screen in her hand.

Reading the news at a time like this?

She was actually reading the news at a time like this!

Was it because he wasn't working hard enough?

Qin Yuhe's deep, cool voice asked, "Didn't your teachers ever teach you to focus when you're working on a problem?"

Song Xinya lied through her teeth, "No, they didn't."

Qin Yuhe took the phone from her hand and put it back on the nightstand. It made a crisp click that tugged at her heartstrings.

"If your teachers didn't teach you, as your husband, I will teach you."

He pressed down on her.

Her red lips parted slightly, her charming eyes rippling like water, more stunning than the sunset glow.

Only the bedside lamp was on in the bedroom. Invisible sparks floated everywhere in the romantic light. Every wisp of air ignited, flames roaring into the sky, tongues of fire blazing, making the surrounding air tremble continuously.

Two ships floating on the sea crashed to pieces in a fierce and powerful storm. Their hearts beat wildly out of rhythm for each other, sinking together, completely lost...

...

The morning light broke through the window, scattering golden fragments along the edge of the bed.

The early morning alarm clock rang loudly three times, but it still failed to wake Song Xinya up.

Qin Yuhe was already fully dressed. In a white shirt, black suit pants, and a black suit jacket, he looked steady and noble.

He sat on the edge of the bed looking at her, his dark eyes holding a faint smile and tenderness.

His fingers brushed against her face and pinched it slightly.

The sleeping girl had no reaction.

Qin Yuhe reached out and pinched her nose shut.

Song Xinya was literally suffocated awake.

In her sleep, it felt as if she had suddenly fallen into water. Her nose became useless, and she couldn't breathe.

Instinct drove her to open her mouth for survival, gasping for air as she struggled to wake up.

Then she saw Qin Yuhe pinching her nose.

What was this guy doing?

Having just woken up, Song Xinya's mind was still groggy. Like a newborn calf unafraid of tigers, she was bolder than usual.

She had never been the type to suffer a loss. If someone pinched her nose, of course she was going to pinch them back.

She sat up in bed, the thin silk blanket slipping down her smooth skin and pooling around her slender waist.

She reached out and pinched his nose.

The girl's fingertips were very soft, like cotton, yet more resilient than cotton, warm and delicate.

Having successfully taken her "revenge," her enchanting fox-like eyes sparkled with bright mischief. Her beautiful face was radiant, brimming with lively vitality.

Qin Yuhe didn't dodge or avoid it, letting her pinch him.

After her brief moment of triumph, Song Xinya's groggy brain began to regain its reason. The moment she met his eyes, it was as if she had suddenly been enlightened, and she woke up completely.

She hurriedly let go of his nose. "Mr. Qin, I didn't mean it. I'm sorry."

Qin Yuhe's gaze dropped from her nervous little face, crossing the rolling peaks before sliding down to her waist.

"Mrs. Qin, before you apologize to me, shouldn't you put some clothes on first?"

Song Xinya's brain suddenly crashed. She immediately grabbed the blanket and pulled it up to her chest.

Her face was flushed bright red. "Turn around!"

Qin Yuhe raised the corners of his eyes slightly. They were a married couple; couldn't he look at her?

He thought about himself. If she wanted to look at him, no matter which part, he would definitely let her look openly.

There was a difference in how men and women thought; men had never had much shame in this regard.

Song Xinya pulled the blanket up and lay back down in bed.

The phone on the nightstand let out the sound of the alarm clock once again, loud and noisy.

Song Xinya's fair arm reached out from the blanket. She picked up the phone and took a look. If she didn't get up now, she was going to be late.

As a new employee, being late on her second day of work wouldn't be good and would give people something to gossip about.

"I am up," Song Xinya said as she wrapped a thin blanket around herself and scurried into the bathroom, looking very much like she was fleeing the scene.

She was completely naked at the moment.

Her entire body was wrapped in nothing but a small blanket.

It was impossible to wash up while draped in a blanket. Song Xinya looked around the bathroom, but there were no pajamas to be found.

There was, however, a white dress shirt that Qin Yuhe had taken off the night before.

Song Xinya set the blanket aside and picked up Qin Yuhe's white shirt. The lingering masculine scent on it was crisp and cool, faint and not overpowering, yet exceptionally alluring.

He was a tall man, so the oversized white shirt draped loosely over her slender frame. The hem fell just past her bottom, exposing a pair of straight, slender legs that looked soft and dazzlingly white.

Wearing his white shirt, she found herself completely enveloped in his scent.

Song Xinya stood in front of the mirror and looked down at her chest carefully.

Her peaks showed slightly through the fabric, but it was fine. The shirt was baggy enough that it was not glaringly obvious.

At the very least, she had clothes to wear now.

She washed her face and brushed her teeth. Once she was done freshening up, she stood by the bathroom door.

Qin Yuhe was such a busy man. By this time, Song Xinya told herself, he must have already left.

Opening the bathroom door, she walked out, only to come face to face with Qin Yuhe.

The moment he saw her wearing his white shirt, a flicker of deep interest flashed through his eyes.

Qin Yuhe did not intentionally fix his gaze on Song Xinya's chest.

He had intended to just glance past it, but he simply could not help it. Some things were just too conspicuous...
