He stopped halfway through his sentence, watching for Song Xinya’s reaction.
As a married woman, Song Xinya immediately understood what Qin Yuhe was implying.
Her face flushed as she hastily changed the subject. “You mean eating cucumbers, right?”
The corners of Qin Yuhe’s lips lifted in a faint smile. Leaning back in his seat, he asked, “Do you like them?”
Song Xinya: “I do.”
Qin Yuhe: “How do you like them prepared?”
Song Xinya: “I like chopping them into slices and making cucumber salad.”
Qin Yuhe touched his tongue to the side of his cheek and drawled lazily, “You like eating them, but you still chop them into pieces first. How cruel.”
Song Xinya: “…It’s not like I chopped you up.”
Qin Yuhe: “Would you really be willing to? If you chopped me up, how would I make you happy?”
Song Xinya was so embarrassed that she clenched her small fists and began pounding Qin Yuhe’s chest, one blow after another, like a sudden shower.
Qin Yuhe: “When did you learn kung fu at the Shaolin Temple? You’re using that ‘death-dealing chain hammer’ pretty skillfully.”
Song Xinya kept striking his chest and arms. “I only use it on bad people.”
Qin Yuhe reached out and caught both her wrists. “All right. One hit is flirting, but this many is…”
Song Xinya: “Domestic violence?”
Qin Yuhe: “Even more flirting.”
Song Xinya was amused by him, and her pursed lips curved into a smile.
Qin Yuhe: “Purse your lips again.”
Song Xinya: “Why?”
Still obediently, she puckered her lips.
Qin Yuhe leaned toward her. He tipped up her chin with his fingers, turned his head, and brushed the bridge of his nose against hers before taking her lips in a kiss.
It was urgent and fierce, filled with an invasive intensity—dominant and forceful.
A soft click sounded in the enclosed space as Qin Yuhe adjusted the seat until it reclined flat.
Song Xinya began to slide downward.
Qin Yuhe leaned over her.
The moment her back touched the seat, the man’s solid body pressed down over her.
His powerful frame radiated heat like a blazing furnace, and before long Song Xinya had lost all sense of reason.
Whether they were kissing or being intimate, one advantage of being with Qin Yuhe was that she never had to do anything. All she needed to do was respond and lie back while he took the lead.
Song Xinya was always especially obedient when it came to such matters. Whatever Qin Yuhe asked of her, she would do, which suited his controlling nature perfectly.
Qin Yuhe gave himself over to instinct, completely overwhelming her…
His fingers lifted her chin, his hands held her face, and his possessive touch left her breathless.
Her soft moans, trembling breaths, and muffled pleas mingled with the sounds of movement in the back seat of the Rolls-Royce. The low temperature outside could not suppress the heat inside.
Qin Yuhe took his time. By the time the car arrived at the Forbidden City Residence, they still had not finished.
They never made it to the main event.
Reluctantly, Qin Yuhe rose from Song Xinya and began fastening his shirt.
“I think this driver needs to be replaced. He doesn’t even know enough to drive around the estate a few times.”
Song Xinya sat up, covering her loosened clothing with both hands.
“There are cars coming and going around the estate. Someone might see us.”
Qin Yuhe picked up the belt he had taken off and tossed aside, then threaded it back around his waist.
“He could have driven somewhere more secluded.”
Song Xinya pulled her undergarment back into place and reached behind her, fumbling with the row of little hooks.
“You were the one who told the driver to come back to the Forbidden City Residence.”
Qin Yuhe finished dressing and noticed that Song Xinya was still struggling with the fastenings behind her back.
He placed both hands on her shoulders, turned her around, and helped fasten them for her.
“And somehow it’s all my fault.”
Song Xinya: “I didn’t say it was your fault. You were just too impatient, fooling around on the highway.”
Qin Yuhe: “We didn’t even manage to finish. How was I being impatient?”
Song Xinya lowered her head and saw the marks scattered from her collarbone downward, left behind by his overly enthusiastic kisses.
And he still claimed he hadn’t been impatient. Honestly—how could he say that with a straight face?
Once they were both dressed, Qin Yuhe got out of the car first.
Song Xinya stepped out after him. The instant both her feet touched the ground, she realized that her legs were as weak as noodles and could barely support her.
She stumbled forward. Instinctively, she reached to the side for anything she could grab.
Both hands caught firmly onto Qin Yuhe’s trousers.
At that moment, the four youngsters—Song Tingye, Qin Yuyan, Song Tingyou, and Jin Ruizhi—came running out of the living room.
Song Tingye: “Sis, it isn’t even dark yet. Why are you taking Brother-in-law’s pants off?”
“Not suitable for children!” Qin Yuyan covered her eyes with both hands, leaving a gap between her fingers through which she stared intently at Song Xinya and Qin Yuhe.
Jin Ruizhi put a hand over Song Tingyou’s eyes. “Don’t look.”
Song Xinya could almost hear crows cawing beside her ear.
She quickly pulled her hands away from Qin Yuhe’s trousers and rubbed her palms against her clothes.
Then she straightened her not-quite-steady back. “I only stumbled and tried to grab something for support. You’re all imagining things.”
Song Tingye: “How come you’re so good at grabbing things? You grabbed Brother-in-law’s pants in one go.”
Qin Yuyan: “Then what are you supposed to grab next time? Should you pull my brother’s pants down and hold onto his underwear?”
Jin Ruizhi turned Song Tingyou around and placed earphones in her ears. “Don’t listen.”
Song Xinya put her hands on her hips. “Song Tingye, say one more word and see what happens!”
Song Tingye: “If you’re bold enough to pull Brother-in-law’s pants off, you should be bold enough to admit it.”
Qin Yuyan: “Exactly.”
Qin Yuhe narrowed his eyes. “Qin Yuyan, you must be Pikachu’s little brother. Your skin is itching for a beating.”
Qin Yuyan turned her toes inward until they pointed almost backward and swung her arms as she headed toward the hall. “I’m going back to study.”
She walked calmly for two steps before suddenly breaking into a run.
Ahh! Help! If I don’t run now, my brother is going to hang me up and beat me!
She ran all the way to her bedroom and locked the door. For the sake of her life, she did not even dare come out for dinner.
As for Song Tingye, Song Xinya chased him around with a feather duster and gave him a thorough beating. He never got any beef and instead received a serving of “bamboo shoots stir-fried with meat”—a playful euphemism for a spanking.
At the dinner table, Qin Yuhe looked at Jin Ruizhi.
“You eat, drink, and live at my house for free every day. Why don’t you stop using the surname Jin and change it to Qin?”
Jin Ruizhi: “Are you asking me to be your son?”
Qin Yuhe: “I want you to be my grandson.”
Jin Ruizhi immediately called out in a loud voice, “Hello, Grandpa!”
Qin Yuhe: “Your bones are remarkably flexible. Just like modeling clay.”
After dinner, Song Tingyou called out to Song Xinya.
“Sis, there’s a problem I don’t know how to solve. Young Master Jin doesn’t know how to do it either. Could you explain it to us?”
Song Xinya stood up. As she passed Qin Yuhe, he caught her by the wrist.
Qin Yuhe: “What subject is the problem from?”
Song Tingyou: “Math.”
Qin Yuhe: “Go ask your brother. He knows how to do it.”
Song Tingyou: “Doesn’t Sister know?”
Qin Yuhe: “Your sister and I have something urgent to take care of. We need to go upstairs now.”
Song Tingyou: “What urgent thing?”
Jin Ruizhi: “Don’t ask. Let’s go find Xiaoye.”
Song Tingyou was called away.
Qin Yuhe led Song Xinya upstairs by the hand.
The moment they entered the bedroom, he pressed her against the door and moved close to her, leaving no doubt about his intentions…
