This was the living room, after all.
Someone could walk in at any moment.
Song Xinya kept her exclamation to a hushed whisper, "Mr. Qin, don't mess around."
Qin Yuhe's handsome face was aloof and untainted by worldly desires. He looked completely serious, yet his hand didn't let go, pressing against her and holding her tight.
"Who told you not to wear your clothes properly just now?"
How could this guy be like this?
It was like a demon giving a speech—spouting nonsense and blaming the victim.
Song Xinya shrank back in shame.
Qin Yuhe's free hand gave her back a firm pat.
Instinctively, Song Xinya thrust her upper body forward, presenting herself completely right under his eyes.
Making it even more convenient for him.
Song Xinya's face flushed red all the way to the base of her neck.
She shyly peeked at Qin Yuhe. His attractive face remained elegant and aloof, showing absolutely no shame or embarrassment, as if his current hooligan behavior was perfectly justified.
As expected of someone who does big things, his psychological fortitude was truly outstanding.
He was very strong. In front of him, Song Xinya was like a little ant, completely unable to resist.
Realizing the battle was lost (though she never really had the upper hand to begin with), Song Xinya stopped resisting. She sat obediently, letting him mold her like clay.
Footsteps sounded from the back of the living room. Song Tingye walked out of the bedroom: "Sis, Brother-in-law, what are you guys doing?"
Song Xinya was so startled she nearly jumped right off Qin Yuhe's lap.
Qin Yuhe remained calm and composed. He pulled his hand back, resting it on her waist, pulled her open bathrobe tightly together, and tied the belt securely.
"Nothing. Just discussing something with your sister."
Song Tingye walked towards the two of them. "What kind of thing requires my sister to sit on your lap to discuss?"
Qin Yuhe: "Trade secrets."
Song Tingye: "What trade secrets?"
Qin Yuhe: "I can't tell you."
Song Tingye: "Why can't you tell me?"
Qin Yuhe: "Would it still be a trade secret if I told you?"
Song Tingye: "No."
Qin Yuhe: "That's why I can't tell you."
Song Tingye: ᗜ˰ᗜ
Damn it! I got tricked!
Qin Yuhe's fingers nimbly tied a bow at Song Xinya's waist.
Song Xinya stood up from his lap. "It's getting late. Mr. Qin, you should hurry and head to the airport."
As soon as Song Tingye heard Qin Yuhe was leaving, he quickly brought up what he cared about most. "Cornbread, brother-in-law, don't forget to instruct the servants to give us cornbread three meals a day."
Qin Yuyan also walked out of her room, equally obsessed with this matter. "Brother, quick, arrange it right now."
Qin Yuhe didn't make a move.
Song Tingye grew anxious and pointed at Qin Yuyan. "Brother-in-law, look at how starved your own sister is! Her face was small to begin with, and now it's shrunk to the size of a sesame seed."
Qin Yuyan: "Am I even human then?"
Song Tingye: "I'm just using an exaggerated figure of speech."
Qin Yuyan: "You've lost weight too. You're as thin as a hemp stalk."
Song Tingye hated it the most when people called him a hemp stalk. He retorted, "I'm not a hemp stalk, I'm a bamboo pole."
Qin Yuyan: "They're both poles, what's the difference?"
Song Tingye: "A bamboo pole is thicker than a hemp stalk."
Qin Yuyan: "I see."
"That's not the point. The point is," Song Tingye stared at Qin Yuhe, "Hurry up and give me and the little princess our cornbread! Yesterday we ate a belly full of wild greens, which didn't hold us over at all. My stomach started rumbling like thunder in the middle of the night."
Qin Yuyan patted her own stomach and said, "Mine was thundering too."
Qin Yuhe stood up and walked toward the door.
Song Tingye did a sliding tackle to catch up and hugged his thigh. "If you don't give us our cornbread, you're not allowed to leave!"
Qin Yuyan copy-pasted his move, also doing a sliding tackle and hugging his other thigh. "If you don't give us our cornbread, you're not allowed to leave!"
Qin Yuhe's legs were now weighed down by two heavy jacks.
"I told you before, it was a seven-day prison sentence. Today is the eighth day. You guys are so obsessed with cornbread, are you addicted to it or something?"
Song Tingye slapped his forehead. "Ah, that's right!"
Qin Yuyan copy-pasted again, slapping her forehead. "Ah, that's right!"
Qin Yuhe shook off his left leg, then his right, tossing the two heavy weights aside.
He strode out of the living room. As he got into the Rolls-Royce, he glanced back at Song Xinya in the living room.
Song Xinya, with the flush still lingering on her face, waved at him.
Qin Yuhe's gaze paused for a moment before he sat in the car.
The car quickly drove off and disappeared from sight.
Released from prison, Song Tingye activated his ordering mode: "Sis, this morning I want roast beef, stewed beef, fried beef, stir-fried beef, cold tossed beef, and three bowls of beef noodles."
Qin Yuyan: "Sister-in-law, Sis, this morning I want roast beef, stewed beef, fried beef, stir-fried beef, cold tossed beef, and three bowls of beef noodles."
Song Xinya: "Are you a parrot?"
Qin Yuyan: "Being a parrot saves trouble. I don't have to use my brain."
Song Xinya: "You'd better start using that little brain of yours, it's about to rust."
Qin Yuyan: "Sister-in-law, what do you mean by that?"
Song Tingye: "She's calling you stupid, dummy."
Qin Yuyan: "I'm not stupid."
Song Xinya: "Whose math score was a five?"
Song Tingye burst into loud laughter. "A five! A five! Math is so easy to learn, and someone actually scored a five! How stupid can a brain be!"
Song Xinya: "Think about your literature grades. Nine times out of ten, your essays are completely off-topic."
The smile on Song Tingye's face instantly vanished.
Qin Yuyan burst into loud laughter. "Off-topic! Off-topic! Essays are so easy to write, and someone actually goes off-topic! How stupid can a brain be!"
Song Tingye asked, "Have you never gone off-topic on an essay?"
Qin Yuyan: "Not even once. Out of a perfect score of 60, I get over 55 every single time."
Song Tingye looked skeptical. "You're full of crap, right?"
Song Xinya spoke up, "Yanyan is telling the truth. Her literature grades are at the top of her class, and she gets a perfect score on her essays almost every time."
Song Tingye was utterly shocked. "Holy crap, that's amazing! Over 55 on an essay every time! I wouldn't even dare to dream of a score like that!"
Song Xinya had an idea. "Since the two of you have one with bad math grades and one with bad literature grades, why don't you act as little tutors for each other? Teach each other your study techniques, help each other out, and make progress together."
Song Tingye: "Sure! I've been studying essays for so long and have just been spinning my wheels. This method is worth a try. Maybe I'll actually improve."
Qin Yuyan: "Actually, I don't really want to improve. I just want to be a salted fish with no ambitions."
Song Xinya: "Song Tingye, I'm giving you a mission. Supervise the little princess's studies. For every point her score improves, I'll give you a thousand bucks."
Song Tingye's eyes turned into gold coins. He raised his hand in a salute: "Yes, sir!"
A thousand bucks a point! If the little princess raised her score from 5 to 100, he could make 95,000 bucks! If she raised it to 120, he could make 115,000 bucks!
His chance to get rich had arrived!
Song Tingye looked at Qin Yuyan again, his eyes gleaming brightly as if he were looking at an ATM that spat out cash.
"Hurry up! Finish breakfast in ten minutes. I need to teach the little princess some math problems!"
.........
Song Xinya arrived at the company for work. She spent the morning preparing her lessons, planning to visit her client, the Blond Young Master, Jin Ruizhi, in the afternoon.
At noon, just as she was about to head to the company cafeteria for lunch, a call came through from the reception desk on the first floor.
"Miss Song, someone is here to see you."
