It was the first time Song Tingye had ever looked so closely at a girl's lips.
They were full yet petite, a tender shade of pink. They looked moist and incredibly soft, like cherry blossom petals glistening with dew after a gentle spring rain.
They were completely different from the lips of the guys he knew, which were usually dry, peeling, and looked like two pieces of stale bread ready to crumble at any moment.
A voice from the computer broke the silence, ringing loudly in both of their ears.
"Kissing video number 180 has finished playing. Next up is a tutorial on the pushing kiss."
"The essence of the pushing kiss lies in sliding your tongue into your partner's mouth, pressing your tongues together, and gently pushing back and forth to create pleasure."
"One thing to note is that the man should be gentle to avoid hurting the woman."
"If you're watching this video and have a girl beside you, feel free to practice with her as you watch~"
Song Tingye's Adam's apple bobbed as he swallowed hard.
Qin Yuyan noticed his reaction and asked, "Do you want to kiss me?"
"No," Song Tingye replied.
Qin Yuyan: "Then why do you keep staring at my lips and swallowing?"
Song Tingye: "You were staring at my lips too. Do you want to kiss me?"
Qin Yuyan: "Yeah, actually. I do want to kiss you right now."
Song Tingye's eyes lit up, his gaze filled with excitement and joy.
Qin Yuyan: "The only reason I want to kiss you right now is because we're watching a kissing tutorial. I'm curious about it and want to know what it feels like. Even if it were some other guy sitting next to me today instead of you, I'd still want to kiss him."
The light in Song Tingye's eyes instantly died out.
The tutorial video continued playing on the computer. A handsome man and a beautiful woman were embracing passionately, their tongues tangling together, filling the room with suggestive, wet sounds.
Sights and sounds that would normally make a young man's blood boil suddenly felt completely uninteresting to Song Tingye.
A maid's voice drifted in from outside the study: "Mr. Qin, you're downstairs."
Like two kids caught doing something bad, Song Tingye and Qin Yuyan jumped in fright, nearly leaping out of their chairs.
Qin Yuyan: "My brother! My brother is coming. He won't catch us, will he?"
Song Tingye reached out and clamped his hand over her mouth. His palm was met with a soft, tender sensation.
A sudden numbness shot up his arm.
"Shh—" he hissed, lowering his voice. "You're so loud. Even if your brother wasn't planning on coming in here, you're going to draw him right to us."
"Don't say a word, got it?"
Qin Yuyan blinked her eyes to show she understood.
Song Tingye released his hand from her mouth and vigorously wiped his palm against his clothes a few times.
Watching him do this, Qin Yuyan thought he was disgusted by her mouth.
In reality, Song Tingye did it because his palm was tingling uncontrollably.
He reached over and closed the video on the desk.
Then, he restored the computer screen to exactly how it looked when they first opened it.
He shut the laptop, making it look as if it had never been touched.
Song Tingye grabbed two books from the bookshelf and handed one to Qin Yuyan.
Qin Yuhe pushed open the study door and walked in, only to find Song Tingye and Qin Yuyan sitting in separate chairs, their heads bowed as they read their books.
Song Tingye looked up at Qin Yuhe, feigning surprise. "Brother-in-law, what are you doing here?"
Qin Yuhe: "Do I need to report to you when I enter my own study?"
His gaze darted back and forth between Song Tingye and Qin Yuyan.
Qin Yuyan sat under the desk lamp, her eyes glued to her book, looking incredibly focused.
Qin Yuhe: "Stop pretending. What kind of guilty conscience are you hiding this time?"
Qin Yuyan slowly looked up, acting utterly exasperated. "Brother, don't say that about me. I'm your biological sister. Can't it be that I've turned over a new leaf and developed a passion for learning?"
Qin Yuhe: "Burning newspapers at a grave—you might fool the ghosts, but don't even try to fool me."
Feeling guilty, Qin Yuyan stood up. "Brother, there's a generation gap between us. We have nothing in common to talk about. I'm going to find my sister-in-law."
Qin Yuhe: "She's sleeping. Don't disturb her."
Qin Yuyan: "Then won't I miss seeing her today? I didn't even eat dinner and rushed all the way over here just because I missed her so much and wanted to see her."
Song Tingye quickly played along, "A guest is a guest. You must be starving after coming all this way on an empty stomach. It would be terrible hospitality if we didn't make sure you were full. Come on, let's head to the living room. I'll have the maids whip up something delicious for you."
The two of them walked out of the study one after the other.
Qin Yuhe's eyes fell on the laptop sitting on the desk.
With his long legs, he strode over to the desk, opened the laptop, and tapped a key.
The screen showed the exact same page as when he had shut it down last night.
It looked as though nothing had happened.
That is, if you ignored the smear of red hotpot oil on the mouse.
Song Tingye's awful habit of not washing his hands after eating still hadn't changed.
Qin Yuhe turned around and walked out of the study.
Meanwhile, down in the living room, Qin Yuyan nervously asked Song Tingye, "Do you think my brother realized we were secretly watching people kiss?"
Song Tingye: "I put the computer screen back exactly the way it was. You can trust me when I do things; I'm always foolproof. Your brother won't find out."
Qin Yuyan: "Okay, fine. I'll trust you this once."
Song Tingye: "Do you like hotpot?"
Qin Yuyan: "I love it."
Song Tingye: "Let's go have some hotpot happily together. Even though I'm already stuffed, I can still keep you company and eat a little more."
Qin Yuyan: "Sounds good."
As the two of them walked forward, a pair of large hands reached out from behind and grabbed them both by the back of their necks.
Qin Yuhe: "What exactly were you two doing in the study just now? Confess!"
