Mistakenly Bound by the System? Let’s Squeeze Out a Space First!

Chapter 14

Once all the seafood had been packed up, Zhang Yanyan also left the warehouse address and instructed that everything had to be delivered before eleven in the morning. Only then did she breathe a sigh of relief and turn toward the warehouse.

By the time she arrived, the seeds from the agricultural supply store had already been delivered. Before long, the livestock and poultry young, fruit saplings, and aquatic products and fry arrived one after another as well. The workers handled everything carefully and stacked the goods neatly by category. The enormous warehouse was soon filled to the brim.

After the last shipment of aquatic products had been unloaded and all the workers had left, Zhang Yanyan shut and locked the warehouse doors. She checked the interior once more, confirming that there were no surveillance cameras and no one else inside.

The next moment, she focused her thoughts. The piles of seeds, packaged fruit saplings, young livestock and poultry in their breeding cages, and oxygen-packed fry and aquatic products all vanished without a trace, absorbed into the Yunhua Space.

She arranged the seeds on the dedicated shelves in the storage area, placed the fruit saplings in the seedling nursery beside the fields, and released the young livestock and poultry directly into the breeding area on the back mountain. All the fry and aquatic products went into the expanded fishpond. Nourished by the Spirit Spring water and benefiting from a tenfold time flow, there was no need to worry about their survival rate.

After finishing everything, Zhang Yanyan dusted off her hands, locked the warehouse, and returned the key to the market administration office. Only then did she get back into her SUV.

She glanced at the time. It was already past noon. Taking out her phone, she sent Uncle Chen a message: I won’t be back at the estate for lunch. Don’t prepare a serving for me.

After sending it, she started the car and drove toward the city center. While scrolling through her contacts, she found the number of Su Yuan, her maternal uncle’s daughter, and called her directly.

When it came to the Su family, no one in their circle didn’t know them.

Her maternal grandparents had passed away one after another several years ago. The current head of the Su family was her eldest maternal uncle, Su Zhenbang.

He was the chairman of the Su Group, holding thirty percent of its shares and wielding considerable authority.

Her second maternal uncle, Su Zhenming, was Su Zhenbang’s younger brother and held twenty-one percent of the shares.

He didn’t like working at headquarters, so he had founded his own film and television media company and served as its president. With the Su family backing him, he had been thriving over the past few years.

The brothers had always been close and had never engaged in any of those melodramatic inheritance battles.

Her eldest maternal uncle had two sons. The elder, Su Zhe, was twenty-five and had already established himself within the group.

He was widely recognized as the Su family's heir apparent, and he handled matters with such steadiness that even Su Zhenbang often praised him.

The younger one, Su Yu, was sixteen and had just started his first year of high school. He loved racing but hated studying, and his father was forever chasing him around and giving him a beating.

Her second maternal uncle had a son and a daughter. The daughter was Su Yuan, who was seventeen and would be entering her final year of high school when the new term began.

His son, Su Chen, was thirteen and would be starting his second year of junior high. He was such a little menace that he could probably bring the roof down, and he was notorious at school as a complete troublemaker.

The siblings fought at home every day, giving their parents no end of headaches.

The original Zhang Yanyan had grown up with Su Yuan. They were close in age and had compatible personalities, making them the closest among all the cousins.

Su Yuan was lively and good-natured, with a sweet mouth that seemed to have been dipped in honey. In the past, whether Zhang Yanyan was going shopping or going out to have fun, she always liked bringing Su Yuan along.

Honestly, with such a chatty little shadow by her side, there was never a dull moment.

The phone rang twice before it was answered. Su Yuan’s voice came through the receiver, brimming with excitement:

“Cousin!!! You actually called me! I thought you’d been so busy lately that you’d forgotten all about me!”

“I just finished up. Let me ask you something— which private restaurant in the city center has the best reputation? Have they introduced any new dishes lately?” Zhang Yanyan leaned back in her seat and asked casually.

“There is one! Definitely!” Su Yuan instantly perked up, her voice rising several octaves.

“Shanyue Private Cuisine! The head chef used to be the executive chef at a five-star hotel. They recently added two new dishes: spicy stir-fried chicken and crispy-skinned roast pigeon. I’ve seen tons of people recommending them online, and I’ve been craving them for days!

“But they only accept members, so regular customers can’t get a table at all. And my mom won’t let me go out to eat whenever I want!”

“I know the place. I’m a member. Send me the location, and I’ll come pick you up now,” Zhang Yanyan said with a smile.

“Oh my gosh! You’re the best, Cousin!” Su Yuan let out an excited squeal. A moment later, a rustling sound came through the phone.

“I’m getting ready right now! I’ll wait for you at the entrance to our residential complex! I’ll be downstairs in five minutes, guaranteed! No, wait! You went out to have fun and didn’t even ask me first!

“That’s so unfair! After lunch, you have to go shopping with me! I’m starting my final year of high school soon. I’ll have a heavy workload next semester, so this may be my last chance to go out and have fun!”

“Fine, I’ll go shopping with you. Hurry downstairs. I’ll be there in about twenty minutes.”

“Got it, got it! I’ll be there in a flash!”

Su Yuan hung up briskly. Less than two seconds later, she sent over her location.

Zhang Yanyan turned the steering wheel, and the car made a turn toward Su Yuan’s residential complex.

It took less than twenty minutes for her to spot a girl standing at the entrance, wearing a white T-shirt and light-blue jeans. Her hair was tied in a high ponytail, and she carried a canvas bag over one shoulder. She was on tiptoe, looking expectantly toward the road.

It was Su Yuan.

The moment she saw Zhang Yanyan’s car, Su Yuan waved and hurried over. She opened the passenger door and climbed inside.

Even as she fastened her seat belt, she didn’t forget to complain. “Cousin, you finally made it! I spent the entire morning doing practice problems at home. My head was about to explode, and then you came to rescue me!”

“Look at you, so hopeless,” Zhang Yanyan teased with a laugh as she started the car and drove toward Shanyue Private Cuisine.

Zhang Yanyan didn’t go into detail about her special advantages, merely brushing the subject aside before asking, “You’re about to start your final year of high school. Have you decided which university you want to apply to next year?”

At that, Su Yuan’s joking tone immediately became much more serious.

“I decided ages ago. I’m going to Tengyuan University, the one you attend now! Next year, we’ll be at the same school, and I can come find you every day!”

Tengyuan University was one of the country’s top private elite universities. Its facilities and faculty were both first-rate, making it the preferred choice for many scions of prominent families.

“Good. I’ll be waiting for you at Tengyuan University next year,” Zhang Yanyan replied with a smile.

Su Yuan immediately broke into a grin and chattered excitedly about her hopes for university life. Zhang Yanyan listened quietly, responding from time to time as the car continued smoothly down the road.

A little over ten minutes later, they arrived at Shanyue Private Cuisine.

The restaurant was tucked away in an old lane in the heart of the city. Its entrance was designed like a traditional Chinese courtyard—understated at first glance, yet lined with luxury cars. The greeters wore matching traditional long robes and carried themselves with gentle elegance.

The moment they saw Zhang Yanyan and Su Yuan get out of the car, the greeters recognized them and immediately bowed respectfully.

“Miss Zhang, Miss Su, this way, please. Your private room has already been reserved under your membership information.”

The two followed the greeter inside. Within the courtyard, rockeries and flowing streams were framed by lush green bamboo, shutting out the noise of the outside world and creating a peaceful, secluded atmosphere.
