She knew all of this was just a superficial act on their part.
Standing in the courtyard, she had no intention of stepping inside the house.
Liu Chunlan finally came out of her room.
Wang Hao had warned her, and she herself knew, that Lin Wanyi was the best woman Wang Hao could ever find.
Now that she was back, Liu Chunlan swallowed her anger and forced a smile.
"Wanyi, you're back. You must be tired from the journey.
"Go rest a bit, I'll go make some food for you all."
Lin Wanyi immediately refused.
"Auntie, I'm not here to eat. I came back for a divorce, so please don't trouble yourself."

"Go cook, hurry up and make food. Don't just stand around here."
Liu Chunlan didn't leave. Deep down, she loathed Lin Wanyi.
She just didn't want to make things easy for her.

Lin Wanyi didn't deny it. "Yes, I hit him."

Liu Chunlan hadn't expected her to be so brazen about it, which only made her angrier.
"He is your man, your husband! Lin Wanyi, have you ever seen any woman act so fiercely and beat her own husband?
"Wouldn't people laugh if word got out?

Wang Hao slowly took another sip of tea.

"Today we are getting this paperwork done no matter what. From now on, we go our separate ways.

She tried to push Wang Hao aside.
"If you won't go do the paperwork, I won't force you. Wang Hao, this society has laws.
"It's not a place where you can just do whatever you want."
Wang Hao refused to budge.
Lin Jiajun also stepped forward to push him.
"Wang Hao, can you act like a man for once?"
That sentence set Wang Hao off.
Thinking about how he hadn't touched Lin Wanyi in over two months stirred up a dark, frustrated anger in his chest.

"We are already divorced."

Failing to get his kiss made Wang Hao even more furious.
"Who says we're divorced? Have we done the paperwork? Do you have a divorce certificate?

Before Wang Hao could say anything, Liu Chunlan grabbed a megaphone and shouted loudly outside the courtyard.

She lowered the megaphone and looked provocatively at Lin Wanyi and Lin Jiajun.
"Hmph! Run! Let's see you run!
"I want to see if you can make it out of our Wang Family Village alive."
Lin Jiajun prepared to call the police, but Liu Chunlan was fearless.
"Call them! Go ahead and call them! The new chief at the town police station is from our Wang Family Village.
"You think he'd help you over me?
