After the family of four gathered and discussed for a long time, Wang Tianwei finally decided to transfer to the Qilin Military Academy.
It was a veteran military academy located on the planet Shuomo, having been established for over a hundred and fifty years.
The reason for choosing this academy was simple.
They had a strong faculty, with teachers who had retired from the front lines, and their Mecha Master major was particularly strong!
There was also no elimination system; as long as a student could pass the entrance exam, they could stay peacefully until graduation.
Most importantly, none of the families they knew had children attending this academy!
Cheng Yin and Wang Yi had thought about it a lot.
Since their daughter had this desire, it was better to send her to a place where no one knew her for a fresh start!
Perhaps no one on the remote planet Shuomo had heard about their daughter's past, so there wouldn't be any preconceived prejudices against her.
Tianwei could also make some friends there and adjust her temper... As for how her studies went, they no longer cared!
As long as their daughter could grow up well, healthy and happy, and stop being so stubborn, it would be better than anything!
Even if she couldn't become a Mecha Master in the end, couldn't she just come back and inherit their family company!
Yida Technology was, after all, considered a top company in the Federation's nutrient solution industry; Tianwei shouldn't disdain it.
After deciding on the transfer, the whole family became busy.
Wang Tianwei swiftly changed her application preferences, finally breathing a sigh of relief...
Far away from the planet Tianshu, she wouldn't have to deal with the people and things from her past, eliminating the risk of blowing her cover!
Even if people felt she had changed a few years later, they would only think it was because she had been studying in another place, making the change understandable.
Everything was absolutely perfect!
The following days, apart from her fixed daily studying and exercising, were spent searching the Star Network for information related to Qilin Military Academy and Mecha Master.
The more she read, the more Wang Tianwei became certain of her interest in this major.
The Federation's military mechas were far more complex than cars!
The thought that she could design such drivable, combat-ready mechas in the future made her blood boil with excitement!
Like other schools, Qilin Military Academy had its own forum.
With the new semester approaching, the pinned post at the very top was Notice for New Students.
Wang Tianwei clicked on the title and read through the points one by one:
"Incoming freshmen must bring their own bedding! The bedding provided by the school is as thin as paper!"
"Does Qilin Military Academy still use hard wooden beds!? At Walke, we all get standardized sleep pods!"
"Who asked you!? Walke students get out."
"The First Military Academy also has the newest sleep pods. Attached: [Photo] [Photo]"
"...First Military Academy students, follow the Walke students out."
"Freshmen, remember to wear sun protection! I'm not joking! The UV rays on Shuomo are terrifying! You will peel a layer of skin! Literally!"
"I recommend brand XX sunscreen. It's a bit pricey, but it really works! One application lasts the whole day!"
"Bring your own water pouches... Remember to prepare two extra, don't ask me why..."
"Hahahaha! Oh no! This is someone who actually participated in the freshman training!"
"Highlight this! Juniors participating in the freshman training, remember to watch the two video series 'Ancient Life Guide' and 'Encyclopedia of Flora and Fauna Appreciation' three times and memorize the full texts!"
"Also 'Breaking Limits' and 'The Power of Meditation'."
"...Seems like something weird slipped in?"
"Upstairs, I can understand watching 'Breaking Limits', but what's up with 'The Power of Meditation'?"
"You'll know once you enroll... A friendly tip from a second-year senior: It's normal to have thoughts of dying during the march, don't panic... At this time, you just need to rely on 'The Power of Meditation'..."
"Listen to me, learn how to cook!! Grilled fish! Baked potatoes! Especially baked potatoes, they must be fully cooked before eating! Fully cooked!"
"Upstairs exposed themselves! You were the one who got food poisoning from eating potatoes during last year's field training..."
"...Stop talking, it's all tears!"
Wang Tianwei chuckled while extracting useful information from the thread.
It turned out that Qilin Military Academy also had freshman training, which seemed to include field survival projects.
She wasn't too worried about this; after all, having lived in the apocalypse for so many years, she was very familiar with field survival.
However, the video courses recommended by the seniors were worth a look. She found Ancient Life Guide in the search bar and clicked on it.
After watching for twenty minutes, Wang Tianwei closed the video with a deadpan expression.
Heh, weren't the things taught in here just her survival skills from back then!?
Turns out I am the ancient person!?
Wang Tianwei wiped her face and clicked on the Encyclopedia of Flora and Fauna Appreciation.
The contents here were quite fresh. The flora and fauna from different star systems actually varied so much!? Plants exposed to radiation would also mutate...
She was completely engrossed in watching, completely unaware that her father was in his room making a video call with a teacher from the Qilin Military Academy.
"Hehe... President Wang, are you saying that you want to donate two buildings to our military academy?"
The teacher from the Qilin Military Academy's External Cooperation Office thought he had misheard.
Wang Yi sat in front of the large desk in his room. He wore a formal suit on his upper body and pajama pants on his lower half, his legs spread wide apart.
Only his upper half was visible in the video, but his voice was steady and powerful.
"The Qilin Military Academy has a long history and has provided many talents to the Federation. Students are the foundation of the Federation!
I heard that your academy's teaching building is still the one built over a hundred years ago?
I know your esteemed academy has its own traditions, but for students majoring in mecha, I believe experiencing new technology is also very important.
Therefore, I would like to additionally donate ten mecha master operation rooms and simulation training rooms... Oh? You want to keep using the old dormitories? To temper willpower??
I see... Uh, teacher, may I take the liberty to ask, are there any residential areas around your school?
The kind with a nicer environment and larger houses..."
"...President Wang, our military academy is under closed management..."
One phone call finalized two new buildings and twenty special classrooms.
The teacher from the External Cooperation Office hung up the phone in a daze and turned to his colleague on his right, who was equally shocked speechless, and said,
"Quickly check, President Wang of Tianshu Planet's Yida Technology... who from his family applied to our school?"
The colleague immediately opened the optical computer, their fingers dancing over the virtual keyboard!
"My god!! People from the Capital Star are on another level! Our year-end bonuses are secured this year!!"
Before he could figure it out, the communicator rang again.
"President Huang of Taihe Technology!!? Hello, hello! What... you also want to donate two buildings???"
"Uh, no, we just got a new teaching building...
Ah... right, dormitory buildings are not accepting donations for the time being... Renovations?? No renovations needed either...
Are you asking about the houses nearby?
...There is a residential community close to the school, but our military academy is under closed management from Monday to Friday... I'll give you the name of the community then."
