On Thursday morning, Su Qianqian curled up in her soft blankets, indulging in a rare lazy morning.
Eleven o'clock.
After brunch, she changed into a lilac cropped top and shorts, then lounged lazily on the living room sofa.
Hugging a plush pillow, she half-heartedly watched a variety show on TV, savoring this rare moment of relaxation.
Her phone pinged softly.
Su Qianqian reached for it and tapped the screen.
It was a message from Qin Yuwei.
Vivi Not Weiwei: "Qianqian, Brother Wang said you wrapped up filming?"
"Congrats! You’ve worked so hard, my dear! You must be exhausted, huh?"
A flurry of celebratory stickers followed.
Su Qianqian’s lips curved into a smile as she typed back: "Yeah, just wrapped yesterday. Thanks, Yuwei~"
Vivi Not Weiwei: "Oh, since you’re free today, wanna go out and have some fun?"
"Don’t just stay cooped up at home—it’s so boring!"
Shopping?
Su Qianqian felt a flicker of interest, but hesitation quickly followed.
She was, after all, a minor celebrity now—not as big as top-tier stars like Lin Shu, but still recognizable enough to risk being mobbed in public.
The thought alone made her uneasy.
She typed hesitantly: "Hmm… go out? I’m worried about being recognized. Wouldn’t that be awkward?"
The moment she sent the message, Qin Yuwei called.
Su Qianqian answered, and Qin Yuwei’s exasperated voice immediately filled her ears: "Oh my gosh, my little fairy, that’s such an outdated mindset!"
"This is S City—an international metropolis packed with wealthy people! You think fans here act as crazy as they do in small towns?"
"People here care about their image, okay?"
Qin Yuwei launched into a rapid-fire explanation: "If you’re really that worried, we won’t go to regular malls."
"How about Cloud Realm? You know Cloud Realm, right?"
Su Qianqian answered honestly: "I’ve heard of it, but never been."
Most of her clothes and accessories were either sent directly to her apartment by brands or arranged by Gu Chengyu’s assistant, Zhao. She’d never actually had the chance to shop for herself.
Qin Yuwei continued: "Cloud Realm isn’t just open to anyone. You need a membership card with a minimum deposit of ten million just to step inside."
"Only people like us—well, those with a bit of money—can shop there."
She giggled. "In a place like that, who even cares about celebrities?"
"Everyone’s too busy trying to outdo each other in elegance and sophistication."
"Even if someone recognizes you, they’ll just glance twice or maybe give a polite nod. No one’s gonna swarm you—that’s way too tacky. Trust me!"
Su Qianqian’s resistance wavered. It wasn’t like she was famous enough to worry that much anyway.
"Besides, Cloud Realm has so much fun stuff!"
"They’ve got limited-edition global releases for bags and shoes, haute couture studios from independent designers, and the most amazing afternoon tea."
Qin Yuwei sweetened the deal: "We can try their new chocolate mousse—it’s supposedly perfectly sweet, not cloying, and the presentation is adorable."
Then, she switched to a pleading tone: "Come on, just keep me company~ Qianqian~"
"It’s been ages since I last went shopping."
Su Qianqian was thoroughly convinced.
Holding her phone, she replied cheerfully: "Alright, let’s go together!"
"Yay! Perfect!" Qin Yuwei cheered on the other end.
"Then it’s settled—4 p.m. at Cloud Realm’s entrance!"
"Mm-hmm, see you at four!" Su Qianqian hung up, then realized—this would be her first real shopping trip.
A delayed wave of excitement bubbled up inside her.
She tossed the pillow aside, sprang up from the sofa, and practically skipped to her walk-in closet.
Faced with racks of clothes, she found herself unusually indecisive.
Finally, she settled on a creamy white dress that ended mid-thigh—simple, elegant, and effortlessly sweet.
She checked herself in the mirror, then loosely braided her long hair into a side plait, letting it drape over her shoulder. The look was playful and charming.
Hmm. For her first girls’ day out, this seemed just right.
She smiled at her reflection, the sweetness in her eyes mirroring the one on her lips.
