After Rebirth, I Was Forced to Become the Mafia Princess!

Chapter 31

Chu Yang pushed open the private room door and stepped inside, immediately spotting three thug-like men surrounding a girl who looked about the same age as his younger sister.

The girl was backed against the wall, clutching a broken piece of a beer bottle in her hand so tightly that blood had already seeped from her palm, trickling slowly down her wrist.

Though she appeared disheveled, her eyes burned with defiance—even a hint of ferocity.

Crazy Dog Brother didn’t recognize the man who had suddenly barged in, but judging by his uniform, he knew he was one of the KTV’s security staff. He immediately barked, "Who the hell let you in?!"

The manager, Little Hong, hurried in after him and rushed forward to apologize. "I’m sorry, Crazy Dog Brother, I’ll take him out right away."

As she spoke, she reached for Chu Yang’s arm, trying to pull him away.

But Chu Yang didn’t budge. Instead, he pointed at the young, beautiful girl and said, "Let her go."

Crazy Dog Brother sneered, "Who the hell do you think you are? Do you even know whose turf this is?"

"You trying to lose your job or something?"

Chu Yang replied calmly, "A few grown men bullying a girl—doesn’t seem right, does it?"

As he spoke, his thoughts drifted to his sister. If she hadn’t been harassed, he wouldn’t have left the military early to return home.

This girl in front of him couldn’t be more than a year or two older than his sister, yet she was being cornered like this by these thugs. How could he just stand by and do nothing?

"Little Hong, is this how you train your damn staff? Didn’t you tell him who I am?" Crazy Dog Brother turned and roared at the manager.

Little Hong paled, stammering, "I’m sorry, I’m so sorry, Crazy Dog Brother. It’s his first day—he doesn’t know the rules. I’ll get him out now."

She grabbed Chu Yang’s sleeve again, pleading, "Come on, let’s go before this gets worse…"

But Chu Yang shook her off, locking eyes with Crazy Dog Brother. "Let the girl leave. Whatever you want, take it out on me."

"Oh, playing the hero, huh?"

Crazy Dog Brother strode forward, snatched up a beer bottle, and smashed it against Chu Yang’s head with a loud crack.

"You think you’re some big shot? Telling me what to do?!"

Chu Yang didn’t even flinch, as if the bottle hadn’t just shattered against his skull.

Not satisfied, Crazy Dog Brother grabbed another bottle and swung again, landing another heavy blow with a dull thud.

Yet, astonishingly, aside from the beer dripping down his face, there wasn’t a single drop of blood. Even more shocking was Chu Yang’s expression—utterly unfazed, as if nothing had happened.

Liu Yutong, though worried for this stranger who had stepped in, was also stunned.

Aside from Yun Cheng, she had never met another man this tough—this unshakable.

Taking in his short, freshly cut hair and the unmistakable military bearing, she began to piece it together.

This man… was probably a recently discharged soldier.

Chu Yang wiped the liquid from his face and looked at Crazy Dog Brother. "Now can you let her go?"

"No way in hell! She’s staying right here, drinking with me until I’m satisfied—and she’d better serve me well, or she’s not leaving this room," Crazy Dog Brother snarled. "And you—if you don’t get out now, two hits won’t be the end of it."

As soon as he finished speaking, the door burst open again, and four or five more thugs stormed in, armed with baseball bats and steel pipes.

"Just go. If you stay, it’ll be bad for you," Little Hong urged Chu Yang again.

This time, Chu Yang didn’t respond. Instead, he grabbed an unopened beer bottle and, under the stunned gazes of everyone present, cleanly sliced off the neck with the edge of his palm before downing the entire bottle in one go.

Then, in one swift motion, he shoved Little Hong out of the room and slammed the door shut. He shrugged off his suit jacket, revealing a chest so muscular it strained against his white dress shirt.

"Look at you all—human beings choosing to act like beasts. Is this what your parents raised you for?"

"You got a death wish or something? I swear, I’ll make sure you leave here in a body bag today!" Crazy Dog Brother seethed, his threat dripping with venom.

Chu Yang cracked his neck and rolled his shoulders. "I’d like to see you try."

His gaze swept over the six or seven thugs in the room before landing on the composed girl. He was surprised.

Most girls her age would’ve been paralyzed with fear by now.

But she was holding her ground. Impressive.

Then, turning to her, he said, "Stay back and keep your head down."

If the thugs hadn’t blocked her exit earlier, he would’ve pushed her out with Little Hong.

"Kill him!" Crazy Dog Brother howled.

His lackeys charged, weapons raised. In an instant, the room erupted into chaos—the sounds of fierce combat, shouts, and cries of pain filling the air.

Time blurred.

When silence finally returned, Liu Yutong saw Crazy Dog Brother and his men—all seven or eight of them—strewn across the floor, motionless.

Crazy Dog Brother was covered in blood, crouching on the ground and trembling uncontrollably.

"You... stay away! I’m warning you, if you lay a hand on me, you’re done for today!"

Chu Yang calmly wiped the sweat—or perhaps alcohol—from his face with his hand, then crouched in front of him. "Now, will you let them go?"

"Yes, yes, they can leave!" Crazy Dog Brother hurriedly agreed.

Chu Yang nodded, picked up his suit jacket, and put it on before turning to Liu Yutong. "Let’s go. I’ll take you out."

Liu Yutong dropped the shard of glass she had been holding and said gratefully, "Thank you!"

However, the moment they stepped out of the private room, the fear on Crazy Dog Brother’s face twisted into fury. "Call the boys! Get every last one of them here!"

His lackeys immediately started making calls, summoning reinforcements.

In an instant, the KTV’s ground floor flooded with thugs—nearly thirty or forty of them—all armed with weapons, bats, and other blunt instruments.

Liu Yutong had just entered VIP Room 888 and was about to urge everyone to leave when the sound of heavy footsteps echoed from the stairwell.

Chu Yang’s expression darkened. "Get back inside the room and lock the door!" he ordered Liu Yutong and the others.

Then, he took off his jacket again, ready to fight.

Meanwhile, Yun Cheng, who had been waiting for Liu Yutong in the lobby downstairs, sensed something was wrong.

Why had so many thugs suddenly appeared out of nowhere?

Something bad was happening.

He immediately pulled out his phone and called Liu Yutong, but her phone was turned off.

Yun Cheng’s face paled. He then dialed Ma Da’s number before rushing upstairs alone.

By the time he reached the upper floor, a brawl had already broken out in the hallway.

A man in a white shirt fought like a war god, barehanded, forcing the gangsters to retreat step by step.

The corridor was too narrow—despite their numbers, Crazy Dog Brother’s men couldn’t fight effectively.

Even so, after several rounds of relentless attacks, Chu Yang began to tire.

Facing dozens of men alone was exhausting, even for a former soldier like him.

Just as Chu Yang was being pushed to his limits, chaos erupted at the rear of the gangster crowd.

A cold-faced young man, seemingly even younger than Chu Yang, had joined the fray.
