After Rebirth, I Was Forced to Become the Mafia Princess!

Chapter 165

The night was bitterly cold, the wind sharp as a blade, stinging against the skin.

Yu Xin finished her work at the restaurant, bid farewell to her coworkers, and prepared to head home. Normally, the restaurant stayed open late, often bustling until midnight or even one in the morning. But Yu Xin was still a freshman in college, and she couldn’t afford to neglect her studies, so she usually clocked out around nine.

As she stepped outside, she rubbed her aching abdomen and tightened her scarf. Today was the first day of her period, and the discomfort had forced her to leave an hour early.

Glancing at her phone, she noticed the supermarket was still open. She decided to stop by to pick up some daily necessities—and, of course, a few packs of sanitary pads for backup.

But she hadn’t gone far when she spotted three bleach-blond thugs ganging up on a bespectacled young man. One of them kicked hard at the boy’s knee, sending him stumbling into a puddle with a muffled groan.

"You think you’re some rich kid, huh? Acting all broke in front of us!"

"Yeah, everyone knows you’re the young master of Yu Corporation. Stop playing dumb!"

"Hand over the cash now!"

"I really don’t have much… just twenty bucks on me…"

"No money? Fine. Then how about the young master enjoys some ‘iced tea’?"

"Imagine the scandal if word got out that the heir of Yu Corporation got drenched in piss."

"Hahaha… Post it online, and it’ll go viral in no time!"

"..."

While hurling insults, the trio began unbuckling their belts, ready to humiliate the boy further. The young man didn’t dare fight back, only curling into himself, shielding his head in silence.

About a hundred meters away, a man and a woman watched the scene unfold with cold detachment.

The girl blew a bubble with her gum. "Bro, you dragged me here to watch this? It’s boring. Honestly, we should just ship him off to Southeast Asia and let him rot. A spineless loser like him doesn’t deserve to be my brother."

"Patience," Yu Fei tapped the steering wheel, his voice icy. "Sooner or later, he’ll beg to leave this place. Once he’s out of the country, I’ll make sure he never comes back."

"Still, gotta admit, the guy’s got endurance. Not a single peep out of him."

"With that cowardly streak? If he actually fought back, I might’ve respected him as a man." The girl smirked in disdain.

After a moment, she lost interest. "Let’s go, bro. This is a waste of time. I’ve got clubbing to do."

Yu Fei nodded, equally unimpressed. "Fine."

But before they could drive off, a lone figure—a girl—marched straight toward the bullies, stepping between them and their victim.

The siblings in the car exchanged glances. "Who’s that?"

"No idea," Yu Fei muttered.

"Some busybody. I’m gonna check it out." The girl reached for the door handle.

Yu Fei stopped her. "Wait. Let’s see how this plays out." A faint smirk curled his lips.

In this day and age, a girl daring to confront a bunch of thugs? Admirable courage.

He was curious how she planned to handle this.

"Stop it!" Yu Xin snapped. "What’s your problem? He didn’t even do anything to you!"

The three thugs, mid-unbuckling, froze at the interruption. The leader, a sneering blond, yanked his pants back up. "Hey sweetheart, mind your own business. We don’t hit girls, but that doesn’t mean we won’t have some… other fun."

Yu Xin scoffed. "Oh? So you only pick on the weak?"

"Who’s your boss? Who runs your crew?"

The thugs exchanged glances. Her tone suggested she had connections.

"Our boss is Scarface from East Street. What, you know him?"

"Nope."

The trio sneered, ready to mock her bluff—until Yu Xin added, "Doesn’t matter. Apologize to him, pay up, and I’ll pretend I never saw this."

Before the thugs could retort, the black-framed boy shrank back, waving his hands frantically. "N-no, it’s fine! Really!"

The bullies burst into laughter. "Listen to you, little miss tough girl. You think we’ll just—"

Their bravado vanished mid-sentence.

"—We’re sorry! We messed up!"

The sudden shift left the bespectacled boy stunned, blinking in disbelief.

The three thugs dropped to their knees in perfect unison—smooth as silk, as if they’d just downed a bar of Dove chocolate.

One of them even forgot to zip up his pants, revealing lace-trimmed underwear, which made Yu Xin shudder in disgust.

When the young man looked up again at the girl who seemed somewhat familiar, he noticed four black-clad figures standing behind her, their dragon insignias gleaming coldly under the streetlights.

As a student of Cai University, he immediately recognized them—members of the Ten Thousand Dragons Society, under the command of the campus legend, Liu Yutong.

The brawl in October, involving over 500 people, had spread throughout the university district, making the Ten Thousand Dragons Society infamous overnight. And at the center of it all was their campus belle, Liu Yutong.

Since then, Liu Yutong had become a figure both feared and grudgingly admired on campus.

The young man never expected this girl to be part of the Ten Thousand Dragons Society as well.

Were all the girls in the society this fierce?

If he could recognize these members, so could the three thugs—no one in their right mind would dare provoke the Ten Thousand Dragons Society these days.

The moment they saw the society members appear behind the girl, they dropped to their knees in terror.

"Sis, we were wrong! We’re really sorry!"

"......"

Yu Xin ignored them and suddenly yanked the young man to his feet. "How they hit you just now—now you hit them back."

The young man shook his head like a rattle-drum. "N-no... let’s just forget it..." He didn’t dare.

Yu Xin’s brows furrowed sharply. "If I’m not mistaken, you’re also a student at Cai University, right?"

He nodded.

"Then you should have some backbone. Stop hesitating. If you don’t fight back now, they’ll only come at you harder next time."

"Hit them! You hear me?!" Her voice rose sharply, edged with authority. She hadn’t meant to lose her temper, but something about bullies stirred a deep-seated fury in her.

Startled by her intensity, the young man gritted his teeth, raised his hand, and slapped one of his tormentors hard across the face.

The thug staggered but didn’t dare fight back.

"Not enough. Again!"

"I—"

"Again!"

Though terrified of retaliation, the young man couldn’t defy Yu Xin’s commanding presence.

He struck again, harder this time.

Soon, the three thugs’ faces were swollen to the point their eyes were reduced to slits, resembling pig heads stung by hornets. The worst of them had snot and tears smeared across his face, his lace-trimmed underwear still absurdly caught in his unzipped fly.

"E-enough, sis..."

"We’re sorry, really sorry..."

Satisfied, Yu Xin looked down at them coldly. "Let this be a warning. If any of you dare lay a hand on a Cai University student again, it won’t end this easily."

"Now scram!"

The three thugs helped each other up and scrambled away, stumbling in their haste.
