Yunyang had yet to recover from the shock of what had just happened when Fu Shiyi unfurled a pair of golden wings.
She understood instantly. She hurriedly stored the merman silk in her spatial storage and nodded enthusiastically.
“Yes!”
She took the initiative to wrap her arms around Fu Shiyi’s lean waist.
Fu Shiyi’s lips curved upward as he carried her toward the distant deep-sea waters.
With his wind-based ability assisting him, it wasn’t long before the other beastmen could no longer see them.
The three beastmen who couldn’t enter the water reached a unanimous decision. Qin Mo spoke first. “Pei Wenye, Fuyuan, what are you waiting for? Go after them and protect our female.”
Pei Wenye and Fuyuan had already been thinking the same thing.
Fuyuan turned around and gave chase. Once he entered the sea, Pei Wenye transformed into a gigantic black jiao.
Both the merpeople and the black jiao were incredibly fast. Before long, they could see Fu Shiyi and Yunyang again. Unfortunately, they could only travel through the water and couldn’t fly like Fu Shiyi.
Pei Wenye secretly gritted his teeth.
That Fu Shiyi was taking advantage of being the only one who could fly to brazenly monopolize their female’s time.
Though the two of them couldn’t fly, they continued to follow Fu Shiyi closely, keeping an eye on his every move.
Yunyang didn’t notice the two beastmen who had caught up. Her attention was completely captivated by the vast ocean before her.
She said excitedly, “Fu Shiyi, lower down!”
“All right.”
Fu Shiyi did as she asked. However, before descending, he deliberately used his ability to increase their speed, leaving Pei Wenye and Fuyuan behind.
The seawater was a clear, deep blue, so pristine that it seemed possible to see all the creatures swimming beneath its surface.
Yunyang held on to Fu Shiyi’s clothes with one hand and stretched the other toward the water.
But the distance was too great, and she couldn’t reach it.
“Fu Shiyi, a little lower.”
Fu Shiyi held her securely and descended again.
Cool seawater brushed against her fingertips. Yunyang grinned, her eyes filling with delight.
Fu Shiyi rarely saw her smile so happily. On a sudden impulse, he flew higher before plunging sharply downward.

She withdrew her hand, wrapped her arms tightly around Fu Shiyi, and closed her eyes to enjoy the sea breeze sweeping across her face.
Unable to resist, Fu Shiyi lowered his head and pressed a kiss to the forehead of the woman in his arms.
They were high enough that, apart from Yunyang herself, even Pei Wenye and Fuyuan, who were following closely behind, failed to see it clearly.
Yunyang didn’t open her eyes either.
Since he had taken her to see the sea, she would allow him this stolen kiss.
Worried that staying in the sea breeze for too long might be bad for her health, Fu Shiyi only flew with Yunyang over the ocean for half an hour before returning to the beach to rejoin the others.
Pei Wenye and Fuyuan naturally returned with them.
The other three beastmen rushed over at once.

When she nodded, the three beastmen immediately transformed into their animal forms and began competing to speak first.

Looking at the three enormous, fluffy creatures, Yunyang felt her indecisiveness acting up.
In the end, she simply drew lots mentally. When the lot landed on Qin Mo, she climbed directly onto the white tiger’s back.
Xuan Yu and Rong Jin shot Qin Mo dissatisfied looks before transforming back into human form.
A striking, flamboyant female riding a white tiger, followed by five exceptionally handsome beastmen, naturally drew plenty of attention from the beastmen they passed.

“Is that Lady Yunyang?”

Pei Wenye managed to calm himself and forced a strained smile at the two of them.
“Thanks.”
His voice was very low.
Fuyuan shook his head, indicating that there was no need to thank him.
Fu Shiyi merely said, “Don’t let it affect our female.”
He didn’t care about Pei Wenye’s past. But if Pei Wenye lost control of his emotions and caused his contamination level to rise, it would be their female who suffered the trouble.
“I know.” Pei Wenye looked dispirited.
He wasn’t an emotionally unstable person. It was just that the things Pei Qingyang had done in the past were too outrageous.
If Lord Yulu hadn’t happened to crash on the Desolate Star back then, and if the Federation forces sent to rescue her hadn’t taken him back to the Central Star along the way, he might have died long ago in that desolate, forgotten place.

“Female, I’ll carry you inside.”
Yunyang wrapped her arms around his neck, making it clear that he was allowed to do so.
After the entire family of seven returned to their lodging, Yunyang finally had Pei Wenye set her down on the sofa.
She crossed her legs and fixed her gaze on Pei Wenye.
“You know the female we just saw’s beastman?”
Pei Wenye froze.
