Yunyang drew in a sharp breath.
She was still distracted when someone took her hand.
Fu Shiyi looked up at her. Without his silver-rimmed glasses, his features appeared much gentler. At that moment, he looked as though he would allow her anything she wanted.
“Mistress, I’m greedy.”
“I want Mistress to have only me as her husband, but I know that’s impossible.”
“So, could Mistress… dote on me a little more?”
With a face like that and such a perfect figure, Yunyang simply couldn’t withstand him saying something so ingratiating.
Fortunately, a spirit body couldn’t get a nosebleed.
She gave a light cough, her gaze drifting away. “That depends on how you perform.”
The corners of Fu Shiyi’s lips lifted.
He exerted a little force, and Yunyang was pulled into his arms.
The female’s body fit perfectly against the male’s embrace, leaving not even the slightest gap.
“All right. I’ll make sure to perform well.”
Yunyang struggled to stretch out a hand. “Wait.”
Today, she was going to take the initiative.
Fu Shiyi raised an eyebrow at his Mistress. After learning what she had in mind, he simply lay flat and let her do as she pleased.
Yunyang fumbled around, gradually figuring out how to take the initiative.
Unfortunately, she clearly hadn’t mastered the skills yet. Not only did she fail to experience the advantages of being in control, she instead wore herself and Fu Shiyi out.
Fu Shiyi looked at her helplessly, his eyes filled with suppressed desire.
He reached out to support Yunyang by the waist.
“Mistress, it’s supposed to be like this.”
…
Yunyang decided that taking the initiative was indeed quite enjoyable.
It was just exhausting—far too exhausting.
Her legs and waist were especially sore.
She had clearly been making good progress with her recent training. Even Lulu had said that the muscles on her arms had become much firmer, and Yunyang herself felt that her endurance was far better than before.
Yet after taking the initiative, she couldn’t even last an hour.
It was practically killing her.
Yunyang gave up.
For the remaining hour, she silently lay back and enjoyed herself.
Sure enough, there was nothing wrong with leaving the initiative to someone else.
Once her mental energy had recovered, Yunyang went to the Purification Center again that afternoon.
Since the two beastmen who had heard the voice had both heard it while undergoing purification, the merfolk investigating the matter split into two groups and joined her and You Lu’s security teams.
Whenever Yunyang and You Lu purified those males, the merfolk stood guard nearby, alert to any abnormal activity.
This continued for several days.
But the voice seemed to have noticed the merfolk’s presence, because it never appeared again after that.
Not just at the central tower—even the other federal troops, including Yun Shaoqi, reported that they had not heard it again.
When Adjutant Pan En learned of this, he did not relax his vigilance. Instead, he added even more people to the security teams.
His instinct that something major was about to happen was growing stronger and stronger.
The change occurred several afternoons later.
After Yunyang and You Lu had rested at their residence, they had just met up and were preparing to go to the central tower when that unpleasant voice suddenly rang out.
This time, it wasn’t just certain individuals who could hear it. Everyone present heard it.
“Protect the two ladies!”
The two security teams and the ten merfolk immediately became vigilant, surrounding Yunyang and You Lu.
At that moment, a violent gale suddenly swept through the area.
The gale formed a circular band of wind around the two females, cutting off the security teams and the merfolk outside.
The members of the security teams stared blankly at the wind barrier that had appeared without warning.
Qin Mo, the other three males, and Yu Wenxu reacted quickly.
Qin Mo immediately opened his spatial button and took out a large restraining net.
“Come help me!”
Xuan Yu, Rong Jin, and Pei Wenye hurried over to him. The four husbands acted together, casting the restraining net over the members of the security teams and the merfolk.
Yu Wenxu also activated his supernatural ability. Working with Fu Shiyi, he protected Yunyang and You Lu inside a barrier of energy—
That voice caused males’ contamination levels to soar.
The women had favored their own husbands recently, so their contamination levels remained extremely low. Some had even been completely cleared.
Therefore, even after hearing the voice, they would not lose control in the short term.
The members of the security teams and the merfolk, however, were different.
In the absence of any other danger, they themselves were the greatest threat.
Fu Shiyi’s glasses could detect contamination levels. Through his lenses, he could see that the federal soldiers’ contamination levels were already rising.
The merfolk were doing relatively better.
The members of the security teams and the merfolk were not foolish either. They soon understood why the two females’ husbands had taken such action.
They did not struggle, allowing Qin Mo and the other three to cover them with the restraining net.
The unpleasant voice lasted less than three seconds, yet it had already had a tremendous effect on the males present.
Yunyang and You Lu exchanged a glance.
Their mental threads transformed into little whips. They located the spirit bodies within the males’ mental landscapes and gave each one a strike before beginning the purification.
The change had come quickly, and it was resolved just as quickly.
Fu Shiyi and Yu Wenxu withdrew their abilities and remained at their respective Mistresses’ sides.
Only after the security teams’ contamination levels had stabilized did the merfolk speak hesitantly.
“That voice just now sounded a little like the sonic waves our kind emits when attacking an enemy.”
“I thought so too, but our sonic waves don’t affect outsiders’ contamination levels.”
“Does T01 have an ocean?”
Feir, who had recovered, shook his head. “T01 is a land planet. It doesn’t just lack an ocean—it doesn’t even have a river or lake.”
The merfolk exchanged bewildered glances.
If there was no sea, how could one of their people be here?
Unlike other aquatic beastmen, merfolk did not have a so-called human form and beast form. Their ability to take human form came from an innate talent.
Because of this, they could not remain away from the ocean for long.
At the very least, they had to return to the sea—or to simulated seawater—for an hour or two every month.
That was why the merfolk never joined the federal military.
The fact that they could hear one of their people’s sonic waves on T01 proved that there had to be an ocean here.
Yet the First Army had been stationed on T01 for so many years and had never discovered any ocean.
Feir was utterly perplexed.
The ocean couldn’t possibly have grown legs and run away. If there really was one, why hadn’t the First Army discovered it?
“Let’s go to the central tower.” After Qin Mo finished speaking, he turned to Yunyang. “Mistress, will you come with us?”
After what had just happened, he truly couldn’t feel at ease letting the security teams escort Yunyang back to the residence.
Yunyang nodded. The central tower was still very safe.
“Yunyang, I’m coming with you!”
You Lu linked her arm with Yunyang’s again.
The group hurried toward the central tower as quickly as possible.
The entire First Army’s base was within the tower’s surveillance range, so Leo had dispatched a squad to deal with the disturbance the moment it occurred.
However, before that squad arrived, the matter had already been resolved. Leo therefore ordered them to return and continue training.
Knowing that Qin Mo was coming, he remained in the office area while maintaining contact with Monroe, who was away.
Before long, the spacious office area welcomed two females and their husbands.
And, of course, the ten merfolk as well.
The merfolk sent a representative to give Leo a detailed account of what had just happened.
Although he already knew about it, Leo still listened attentively.
When he heard the merfolk say that T01 definitely had an ocean, his expression changed slightly.
