Such a perfect opportunity to get close to Yunyang—Qin Mo and Xuan Yu certainly weren’t about to let Fu Shiyi hog her all to himself.
Ten minutes later, Qin Mo snatched Yunyang out of Fu Shiyi’s arms.
Another ten minutes after that, Xuan Yu waded in, squabbling and grabbing right along with them.
Within just half an hour, the male holding Yunyang had switched three times.
As for the males fawning over her at the shopping complex? Under the pressure of three S-class ability users, they didn’t dare get anywhere near her—only trailing at a distance, cheerfully recommending items from their stores.
Even though not having to walk herself felt amazing, Yunyang still slipped down from Xuan Yu’s arms after ten minutes.
Spotting Qin Mo itching to make his move, she shot him a withering glare.
“I’ll browse on my own. You three just follow along.”
What was the point of shopping if she didn’t get to do it herself?!
With their female master laying down the law, the three beast-husbands didn’t dare voice a single complaint.
Besides, each of them had gotten to hold their female master for exactly ten minutes—perfectly fair!
Satisfied, Yunyang led her three beast-husbands on a shopping spree, flanked by a crowd of males.
Whatever caught her eye, some male would step forward to give a detailed rundown—from the fine points of the material to the craftsmanship, leaving nothing out—not to mention showering her with compliments.
In the Federation, clothing, shoes, and bags all came in standardized sizes, so she didn’t need to try anything on. All she had to do was nod, and her three beast-husbands would immediately buy the right size for her—price never even crossed their minds.
Thirsty? A beast-husband handed her water at the perfect temperature.
Tired? Just point at any one of them, and he’d willingly carry or piggyback her, without so much as a heavy breath the whole way.
There was no denying it—the shopping experience was absolutely top-tier.
Yunyang had both browsed to her heart’s content and bought to her heart’s content.
Sure enough, whether human or beast-kin, there wasn’t a single woman who didn’t love shopping!
After that entire round, she really was a bit tired.
Yunyang glanced at the time on her optical brain and decided to wrap up today’s shopping.
“Fu Shiyi, are there any good restaurants on the Central Star?”
Going back to cook at this hour was too much of a hassle—might as well just find somewhere to eat.
The key thing was, with all the activity today, she was starting to get hungry.
Fu Shiyi normally paid zero attention to such matters, but he had a mother who was an expert in food, drink, and entertainment.
He recalled the Moon Rail Pavilion that his mother was always going on about.
“Female master, would you like to try the Moon Rail Pavilion? My mother loves the dishes there.”
As a beast-kin from X92 Star, that name had never once appeared in Yunyang’s memory.
But if Fu Shiyi’s mother liked it, it was worth a shot.
“Is it far from here?”
They hadn’t brought their own airship, so if it was too far, they’d have to rent a flyer or a small airship through the optical brain.
“Not far. If you’re tired, female master, I can carry you there—it’ll take just ten minutes.”
One of the reasons the Moon Rail Pavilion was so popular among females was that it sat right next to the largest shopping complex on the Central Star, with plenty of other entertainment venues nearby.
Whether before or after a meal, there was always somewhere for females to have fun.
Having been tended to the whole way, Yunyang wasn’t actually all that worn out, so she politely declined Fu Shiyi’s offer.
Of course, the main reason was that if Fu Shiyi carried her, Qin Mo and Xuan Yu would inevitably start fighting over it again.
Fu Shiyi nodded and took the lead, walking ahead.
Qin Mo and Xuan Yu followed behind, shielding Yunyang.
This area was all about food, drink, and entertainment, so the foot traffic was heavy—but the vast majority were males.
The occasional female passing by was always surrounded by at least five males.
As a result, Yunyang—escorted by only three—stood out like a sore thumb.
Those males cautiously let their gazes drift toward her, and the very first look left them stunned.
By the beast god above, this lady was absolutely breathtaking.
Unattached males stirred with restless intent, but before they could take more than a few steps, a towering male strode over.
He pressed his left hand to his chest and bowed to Yunyang.
“Beautiful lady, my name is Hu Li, an A-class ability user. Would I have the honor of becoming your beast-husband?”
Beast-kin were always this direct.
Fu Shiyi, walking in front, lifted his gaze, the curve of his lips dipping slightly.
Before Yunyang could answer, the aura of an S-class ability user silently settled over Hu Li.
Make that three of them.
Hu Li’s face went pale in an instant—this lady’s beast-husbands were all S-class!
With such a jewel before him, Hu Li certainly didn’t dare make a further fool of himself. He slunk away, dejected.
Yunyang wasn’t affected by her three beast-husbands’ auras, but she could guess with her toes that all three had done something.
Still, it wasn’t a bad thing—after all, none of the males passing by matched her taste in looks anyway.
It was probably because the beast-husbands the marriage center had matched her with were each handsome in their own unique way that Yunyang’s standards had been raised considerably—anyone slightly less striking couldn’t catch her eye.
Yunyang knew she was picky, but she was one of only three S-class females in the entire Federation—so what if she was a little demanding?
She deserved it!
-
With three S-class ability users guarding her, Yunyang didn’t run into any more males trying to hit on her on the way to the Moon Rail Pavilion.
Before long, the Moon Rail Pavilion’s sign came into view.
Yunyang could faintly smell the aroma of food, and her hunger grew sharper.
She unconsciously quickened her pace.
That was when the incident happened.
Several males in military uniform, having apparently just disembarked from some airship, began evacuating the crowd at top speed.
“What’s going on now?”
“Come on, I fought tooth and nail to get a reservation at the Moon Rail Pavilion—why are you blocking me from eating?!”
“Hurry, this must mean another beast-kin has lost control. Your life matters more than a meal—you can eat anytime.”
Chaos erupted all around.
Two males approached Yunyang and said politely, “Esteemed lady, please leave this area as soon as possible.”
Yunyang glanced at her three beast-husbands.
Qin Mo frowned first, staring at the shoulder insignias of the two males. “First Army? What’s happened?”
The 23rd Army and the 1st Army were far apart both in base and garrison, so the two males didn’t recognize him.
But one of them quickly recognized Fu Shiyi standing nearby, so he explained: “A beast-kin went berserk on the way to the purification tower and is heading in this direction.”
Qin Mo immediately turned. “Xuan Yu, you and Fu Shiyi take our female master away. I’ll go help.”
As a Federation soldier, Qin Mo couldn’t just stand by and do nothing.
This area was filled with females—if the situation wasn’t contained quickly, the consequences would be unthinkable.
Before he even finished speaking, Fu Shiyi had already scooped Yunyang into his arms, his golden wings spreading out behind him.
This time, Xuan Yu didn’t argue. He nodded at Qin Mo, then shifted into his beast form and escorted Yunyang away alongside Fu Shiyi.
Qin Mo pulled his own shoulder insignia from his spatial button and fastened it on, standing ramrod straight.
“Take me to see what’s going on.”
The two males recognized the insignia at a glance and immediately snapped into a military salute.
“Follow us, please.”
The two males shifted into their beast forms and led the way, with Qin Mo turning into a white tiger right behind them.
Five minutes later, Qin Mo saw the rampaging male.
The white tiger’s pupils shot wide.
An SS-class ability user.
